Gesu, Golden Bomber, and X-Japan. I guess that's my team.
Lol at μ’s being in this at all. That's incredibly surprising to me.

New BiSH album on January 20th. Weird that it has the same first three tracks as the first album, track 10 was on the first album as well.

they renamed it too, huh? it makes sense they would re-record those tracks with the new members since they need the backing tracks for live shows; throwing them on the new album is a Junnosuke Watanabe-ass thing to do. I watched the recent live they broadcast on niconico last night; they played BiSH - Hoshi... on repeat for an hour with no breaks.

kind of crushes my hopes that they'd actually take some interesting chances on this one though.

Momoko is front and center on the cover though, which is important

Some tracks I hadn't heard before on MBM's year end list http://makebelievemelodies.com/?p=12110

Woah, thanks for sharing this. Really a nice selection of electro-pop songs (or straight up EDM). Bookmarking this blog because his tastes are definitely close to mine.

That Carapinter song, is so good.

Also I know we don't do these things over here, but screw it, today is best Perfume member birthday, a.k.a. Kashiyuka.

i dont even know what to say about Spyair concert...they were fantastic in every aspect. Concert lasted for 3 hours. I lost count of how many songs they played, but they played all songs i love. They also played fan request songs and invited Jasmine for new song. Didnt expect her to be good, but she was. Ike totally blew my mind, amazing vocals. So powerful even after he damaged his voice. Def my fav vocalist. Best concert ive been too.

i saw a thread posted last night re: ever see a game but don't know the name of it... and i thought of this.
this is a ridiculous question but thought to ask @ GAFers, i don't expect a response because it may not even be worth anyone's time.

anyways :p i've been playing Yakuza 5 was hoping someone with jpop knowledge in this thread plays as well. whenever i go to the convince store in (M store) there's a bunch of songs playing on the radio. but for the life of me i can't find out a track listing anywhere.
they may actually be from a few other videogame OST's
anyone play Yakaza 5 and know the songs coming over the radio? ok, i better get out of here! heheh

(try posting in the Yakuza 5 thread as well)

Huh. I looked, ended up finding an 2chan thread where someone asks your question, but nobody answered that I saw. Maybe Kansoku will figure it out. He's still Dr. Google God Emperor King of Kings, I believe.

Why don't 48/46 albums sell as much as their singles?
It's usually the opposite for most artists I listen to, they sell more albums than singles.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had more unique sales with the albums. I don't think people tend to buy multiple copies like they do with the singles.

And yuck at that list

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that because part of the game is about Haruka becoming an idol that it's possible the music in M is one of her songs, especially since seeing her appear in various media is a recurring theme in the game.

You can try listening to the samples here to see if any of them match what you're thinking of.

vol 1

vol 2

i did the same and saw that post as well two weeks ago. heheh
thanks for doing a search!

crosses fingers=) thank you

I think that's me. :p I haven't played Yakuza 5 yet but I'll have a look.
it's an awesome game btw =), definitely worth your time.

thanks for your effort, i searched youtube two weeks ago and a user posted up complete tracks of both volumes. (i believe a few of haruka's songs from vol.2 are on, i'll double check later today which ones exactly)

so far: the guys on the yakuza 5 thread confirmed two tracks: from previous sega gms
-Concept of Love: from Jet Set Radio Future
-Dreams Dreams Adult Vocals: from Nights into Dreams

There's this one female vocal song that's really catchy, i've been trying so hard to find out the name of it. it sounds awesome (at least the few seconds that's played)

everyone, i appreciate the assists. i'm subscribing to this thread, not familiar w much jpop, (post a few anime songs in another forum) but love new music.

So I've heard! :) I love the Yakuza games but sold my PS3 before it was announced, I'll play it eventually. Tried searching for the tracklist with no luck so far.

Just watched some gameplay on youtube, one track that's playing in the store is the theme to Phantasy Star Universe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oAw4u4-cOw Is this is it?

hah, song sounds like a Shoji Meguro B-side

oh wow thanks! that song plays at times right after the one i'm looking for (plays random) i always wanted to know where that came from too.

People I wish to befriend.

Shoji Meguro, can you recommend a few tracks. i'm going to youtube the name =)

It really seems like it's songs from other SEGA games, didn't find any list (or anything more substantial), only this Chiebukuro page =/
yeah, it looks like all sega tracks. i've been combing through jet set radio, nights into dreams and PSO OSTs at the moment... no luck yet but thanks all for pointing me in the right direction. got one step closer today.

Ugh, I liked their last EP, but The Mirraz going for the same Electronic route is disappointing, Considering how good those two ''Fucking'' Albums were.

It was already stated that they wouldn't stop doing that after one release, they said "First EDM release" back when they announced the previous EP so... It'll be like that at least until the upcoming full album in February. Would have been a shame to do only one mini-album imo, it's too great.
After that I'd like something in the vein of OPPORTUNITY or Top of the fuck'n world, my two favorite albums.

Tricot's Pork Ginger is available for pay what you want until Xmas ends.

Baku Baku Dokin - swingin'

Screaming Sixties with 6% is MINE - ONLY PLACE WE CAN CRY

Thinking of buying the debut Last Question album on OTOTOY if only because I really like this shoegazey song produced by JJ of Limited Express(has gone?).

Manaminorisa - N Polaris Ab
I am hopelessly obsessed with this song. "Should we do electropop or hard rock? Fuck it let's do both at the same time with everything turned up to 11, and don't forget to overlay all of the melodic lines from the song on top of each other during the last 30 seconds." I live for this sort of shameless pop maximalism.

Apparently some of the EP tracks will feature in the main album, so yeah, it makes sense for them to release another Elctro EDM album. I wonder if they stick with it or explore another style (especially considering that they change their style quite frequently)

My favourite is Top of The Fuck'n World and We Are The Fuck'n World, and recently, I really liked Eraba. Hope they release something along those veins.

Speaking of which She Her Her Hers released another demo tracks on their website and both of, like the two previous ones, are fucking amazing. As much I criticised their work after their disappointing change of style, they seem to be very experimental with their sound and I respect the hell out of that. Their new upcoming album sounds its gonna be AOTY in 2016.

Especia's new album, Carta is going to be coming out February 24th.

Total of 12 tracks, including 9 completely new ones. Here are two new tracks from the album, performed live a couple nights ago.

Especia - Sunshower

Especia - Interstellar

I like both tracks, and I find it interesting how they incorporated more fast paced breakbeat elements into Interstellar, but it's not one of my favorites. Doesn't have the groove to it that really made Adventure wa Giniro ni so good. Sunshower is pretty solid, reminiscent of the tracks off of Amarga.

Between these two tracks and Boogie Aroma / Aviator, I wonder if Carta is going to be more energetic and upbeat than Gusto, which had a lot of slower, more gentle, or even ballad like songs.

I'm hoping that the album is as long as Gusto, and has at least one track like the PellyColo remix of Umibe no Satie, which I feel enhanced the pacing and general feel of the album in a way that I found really endearing. All around though, I'm pretty excited. I can't really name any release of theirs that I just didn't like, so my expectations are fairly high.

I hope so, Boogie Aroma/ Aviator and Interstellar are much more to my tastes than their drowsier songs. I think the extra energy really suits them.

Somewhere in the middle.

They haven't confirmed anything yet, but they already released 4 tracks and officially a single, and mentioned that they are writing more this year.

They also have released 2 albums and an EP in the last 3 years so an album next year is more or less a safe bet.

Oh and they also talked alot about their new direction of music, so there is that as well.
