Jensen Huang just got a 49% pay rise

I put like on the first post not because I care about his wealth, or him for that matter, but simply because replies in these kinds of threads are entertaining to read.

Can confirm.

Can I have a high paying job at your company? I'm smart and not woke and I'm happy you got a raise boss.

Complaining about successful business people is not going to do anything for you. Complain about republic voters if you want. Or move to Canada/Europe (I live in Europe).

Profits over everything. At the expense of people who literally can't afford gaming devices in an age where groceries, rent, mortgage and well everything is more expensive than ever.

Xbox, Nintendo, Sony increasing prices while literally being more profitable than ever are no better. This is a crisis where the small man is going to get fucked again and again until he breaks.

Oh no! Not at the expense of people who can't afford gaming devices!

Nvidia should step in where Department of Social Services has failed

Gaming is literally for kids. The adults have clung on to it out of habit. But its for kids and the adults in charge of families are hurting.

PS1, PS2 used to sell for $99 within a few years. PS3, Switch lite and PS4 were $199 and $250 by this time in their generations. Thats when most families go out and get one for their kids.
The majority of gamers are the 18 to 50 group. Im pretty sure kids is way under 25% of the pie.

Just stating a fact here, no need for insults
the fact is more young people are getting wealthy than ever before and even more people around the world are getting wealthy than ever before. I make a quarter million a year. So question is why are you missing out? You can complain and accomplish nothing or work the system and succeed your choice.

🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm simply stating a fact, who says I'm complaining?

But the wage disparity between people at the top and the actual workers is stupid.

no it is not the CEO's are the heart and soul of a civilization they are the builders the organizers the ones who make things we couldn't even dream of a reality. We should praise and thank billionaires and CEO's for bringing wealth into our society. It should be a paid federal holiday "Thank The Wealthy Day". So I thank them! I recommend Videos on Ann Rand and Yaron Brook on economics to keep you up to speed. CEOs and Billionaires are Heroes!

decades of slapping amd around, CUDA moat, "betting the company on AI" and winning, reaming me in the asshole with $2000 GPUs... all in all, a job well done

Yeah, because everyone can become rich can't they?

The US has over 1,000 billionaires now. The majority of the rest of the population is fighting over scraps.

You might see yourself as a temporarily embarrassed millionaire in waiting, but you're not. That's not how this game works.

America is a rich nation with a population so wealthy it would blow the minds of any historical humans. The average person has a high probability of becoming a millionaire one day, even at a normal job with a normal salary. Most of the world still lives on a single digit number of dollars per day. We take for granted the life of luxury.

~7% of everyone in the US is a millionaire. thats like 1 in every 15 people.
this is based on net worth, so... your home equity + retirement savings + personal savings... minus any debt.

by comparison, ~3% of everyone in europe is a millionaire, or 1 in 35 people.

The median homeowner has $400k net worth. That will grow to well over $1 million in my lifetime. Much of that will come from the house itself, and a million may not be as sexy as it once was, but it's not struggling either. In Africa, their net worth is a couple thousand dollars.

You'd think with all that money the tragic looking shortarsed cunt would hire a stylist. The fucking state of him, he's a walking talking midlife crisis..

It's more of a branding thing than anything else at this point. It's like Jobs and black turtlenecks. He shouldn't change it even if he wants to.

What a chad - you want marginal performance gains over a PS5? That'll be £9000 please.

Good luck to the man.

Good on him I guess.
Aside from the dip with that Chinese AI he seems to be making the shareholders a ton of money, so it makes sense he'll get compensated for it.

Nice raise considering the shitty reception of the 50 Series GPU's.

Aren't gaming GPUs basically a side gig for Nvidia now?
And they still dominate the market regardless.

Man fucking deserves it imo. He was there day zero and built that company from the ground up over the past 30+ years. And he has made a lot of his people (his employees) very wealthy.

His first pay raise in a decade, after the company's stock went from nothing to 3rd/4th most valuable in the world

The official value of his salary is something of a red herring compared to the value of the stock he holds in his company, as a co-founder
