It just occurred to me - they know who Kira is at this point and what his Stand is, why can't they just get Joseph to use Hermit Purple to identify his new identity? Identifying the owner of RHCP is literally why Joseph was brought to Morioh in the first place.

Araki never says, but I always assumed Kira's dad stopped them. We know that spirit photos can be interfered with, and Yoshihiro is a ghost with a photograph-related power who's extremely protective of his son.
Maybe David Pro'll add a small scene about it.

Kira's new identity has the *worst* hair. I can't believe a professional mangaka drew that. That shit is uuuugly. I can't take him seriously any more as a villain.
Ghost dad was pretty awesome, though. Neat antagonist. I kind of missed the more explicitly supernatural enemies from earlier Jojo - vampires and ubervampires and zombies and all that was good fun, so it was nice to see Araki return to that if only for a little while.

I had no idea people disliked how Kosaku-Kira looked.
When I read the manga, the whiplash I felt when going from David Bowie Kira to Kosaku was real.
Fortunately I grew to like the design and the anime gave us plenty of David Bowie Kira.

Kira kidnapped him and brought him there. Aya mentions that before she dies.
Oh, I thought he was already there. Must have forgotten. Well, Cinderella did the job anyway!
