Which is strange because the song is so shit

It's a strange choice not sure if I'd say it's straight up bad though. Haven't seen the ending animation either yet to give it full judgement. Just went straight back on the comments and people are posting spoilers. Ayy lmao.

The new opening didn't do much for me to be honest. It was terrible IMO. Visually, the ending is fantastic, but that song is also terrible. Never liked it.

As for the episode, it was entertaining, but I wasn't that much of a fan of the new music that played either. It was also kind of missing that awesome onomatopoeia in certain scenes I was certain it would have, but no dice. ;( those two things stuck out to me the most. Outside of that though, it's Jojo!!!! And the animation in some parts was really awesome.

Really do love the visuals of that new ending a lot, but that song. Uggggh

The lack of a strong presence of DIO in both the OP and ED makes it hard for me to believe that these will be the only OP and ED we'll get for this season. There has to be another they have planned for the second cour of this season.

I would imagine we might get another set close to the end of the show.

It's great to have a show to look forward to again. New OP's growing on me. Ending theme is nice.

Episode itself was suitably dramatic.

Might want to skip watching the intro to avoid this episode's new character, the reveal is much better :P

You might want to skip the the OP because it's just terrible. What were they thinking, it sounds like a fandub.

The different parts from the different vocalists are great, individually, but they do not flow together at all which makes it sound disjointed.

To talk about the episode itself, that enemy stand looks OP as shit (heh, don't they all?). I suppose the this and the next episode will attempt to make Iggy stand out.

I guess I am the only one here to like the new opening. It's cleary not the most epic of them but I like the less serious tone of this one with the ORA ORA ORA ORA
Even if I would like Muda Muda Muda more.
. But yeah that sounds disjointed, that's the only think I find too bad and a little bit amateurish.

Like, the actual visual aspect of it isn't that bad (if not a little derivative from what we've seen from Stand Proud) but the song completely kills it.

"You don't have to state the obvious"
OH LIKE THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED IN JOJO BEFORE, ARAKI.

Oh that picture! Nice move from them.

Abdul and the gang bringing up the Arcana was really pointless IMO, should've skipped that part from the manga.

Yeesh my stream keeps freezing every 3 minutes what's up with that?

I seriously doubt we'll get a third op and ed. Specially considering the op already covers stuff from now to the end of the series.

Yeah, that's the issue I have it.

As for the ending, I wouldn't say it's shit at all, just not the tone we were expecting. I really like the ending and how it sets the mood of a nostalgic journey (emphasized by the old photo).

Speaking of the photo, I like how they added it to fill in the hole of where the fuck Jotaro got that photo

Like the ED but I dont like vocal less EDs :( , disappointing OP like the majority of other anime this season.

Kind of boring start to the episode, but I like the antagonist character. Hope the next episode is exciting.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Egypt Arc Episode 1:

Finally, Jojo has returned to the airwaves and it is going to take some time to get used the new OP. I do like Last Train Home better than Walk Like and Egyptian though. Anyway, this was a nice reintroduction to everything after all of that time away and we even have a new character and it is, er, Admiral Woofington? This is also the part where they move out Tarot based stands for the enemy, outside of the example so well known even the subs point it out. Still, more stand user of the week business is just that. None the less I am glad to have Jojo back.

Don't care for the OP or the ED, the OP is whatever because I didn't like Stand Proud either so I'm still skipping it, the ED is a bummer though, the songs fine but I dunno it doesn't seem to really fit.

Not really a fan of the new OP, it's pretty messy but I liked the reminiscence approach for the ED. It's going to work really well near the end of the season, that's for sure. Also the addition of the photo from the later parts was nice, I had always wondered when they took that.

There are like 4 point during the OP where you think it's going to break out into an exciting chorus, and every single time it seems to change into something completely different and starts building up again.

It's an entire song of buildup to nothing.

Yeah it has like no chorus. It's weird. I think it's pretty hype at the end though.

New op is garbaggio, new ED is awesome though.
Just listening to the full, shits gonna hit like a brick in the last few episodes. Really good choice here.

I'm surprised they didn't go with Rock the Casbah last season and then Walk Like An Egyptian this season since they are actually in Egypt. The OP was epic as fuck. "ORAAAAAAAAAAA!"

On a second watch, the song for the OP is pretty weak. But the visuals are great, especially for manga readers like myself.

I don't think their voices harmonized well, but the power of ORA saved it. It's all I needed for it to be epic.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Stardust Crusaders 25

  • This new OP SUCKS
  • So this is how Iggy joins? I thought he was a dog they found in Egypt. He is one wild/lazy motherfucker
  • They are really trying to convince me that these Speed Wagon reps are bad guys with these cuts and framing aren't they? Weird that they died a few minutes later to no fanfare :P
  • Just because they are out of Major Arcana I have no idea why Kakoyin is surprised to hear there are 10 more (
there should be even more than that
given what little I know about Jojo if I recall) Stand Users or why he would expect Dio's Stand to be The World (I mean he's right but that's beside the point). The Stand naming scheme continues to make no sense and I have no idea why Kakoyin would think there are only 22 Stand Users IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. This is besides the fact that the show has still failed to even elaborate where Stands come from or why they weren't in Parts I and II (other than Araki didn't think of them yet :P)
  • This new Water Stand is pretty cool. Given the bad guy is tracking them using sound they may want to stop narrating every little thing but at least its to their advantage that he's using vibrations and is too far away to actually hear them :P
  • This new ED SUCKS
Overall glad to have Jojo back though I don't think this was the strongest of episodes.

I had no clue the season was starting. Glad I hopped on here tonight when I heard about a new OP hitting.

I like it! Its probably my least favorite of them so far, but its solid. New ED is a big sack of nothin' though.

Didn't they say that Stands all over the world got awakened because Dio awakened his? Also, Stands are like concentrated Ripple, which is why Ripple is not used anymore.

I really like the new ED, it goes well with this part of the saga. Not a fan of the opening thought, a bit too random and not catchy, liked Stand Proud better.

Joesph Joestar, Holly Joestar and Jotaru Kujo got their Stands through Dio because he is using the body of Johnathan Joestar and they are his living descendents. All other Stand Users in the show got their Stands independent of the Dio business. So where Stands come from in general, where Dio got his (neither he nor Johnathan had one in Part I) and why nobody in Parts I or II knew anything about them isn't explained. Now yes, I'm aware they exist in Part III because Araki needed/was asked to spice up the Jojo formula - he hadn't thought of them before Part III. However, since Parts I - III are all in the same universe and sequels to each other, you kind of have to explain their sudden appearance in the narrative.

Now I've heard there is some kind of explanation in later parts (I don't know if they address at all in Part III or not) but I don't know what it is yet so I have no idea if its satisfactory. The fact that it hasn't already been addressed in Part III yet will never not bother me though and I don't know how it managed not to really bother other people. The show is of course very entertaining in spite of it but its still kind of a plot hole :/

You mean part 2

You learn about how Stands came to be in later parts of the manga. We're not allowed to put spoilers here, even tagged, right? So I can't really say. When they do Part 4 you'll find out about it.

It's hard to answer a lot of the questions people have about the series without talking about future parts.

A little bit out of topic but since Jojo restarted and Crunchyroll arrived on Wii U, I thought it would be nice to see Jojo now on Crunchyroll and maybe even subscribe to this...

But I see all the catalog and all the thing that seems interesting was Gintama, Persona and PingPong. The rest of the anime seems like some story with little girls, maybe I missed some great animes but that's the only things I notice so a subscription now is clearly a no.

Really, did I miss something (FYI, I live in Europe maybe the catalog is different in America)

I can give you a 48 hour trial that I get for subscribing. It's not like I'm doing anything with them besides letting them expire.

Also, yes the catalog can be different, but only the one it allows you to watch, the search results should be the same for all regions I think.

I'm so glad this is back. I really love the new ED, song's great and so many poses are in there. The new OP is pretty meh though.

Thanks but I already have 14 days free trial activated.

So besides the anime that are displayed there are some of them hidden ? Like what ?

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Stardust Crusaders[Egypt Arc] 25

Wasn't a fan of the new OP, the new ED is chilling but it's a bit out off placed compared to the last two ED's.

I thought the dog would be doing something far more vulgar than farting
which would go hand to hand with the sticky thing
, glad I was wrong.

The decapitation scene was absolutely brutal.

Slow episode overall, but glad it's back.

Note:
In your face Diggeh! Told you'd I'd make it to the second half without succumbing to the temptation of reading ahead.
