July Wrasslin’ |OT| The Ring’s a Field, the Field of War, That’s Where We Lay the Law

Holy crap Chris Hero was LARGE back in the day.

He's done well to lose as much weight as he has in retrospect, but then I can't remember him being this large during his CHIKARA days. Must be a bulking cycle.

Trent Baker's 'Rugby Thug' gimmick is pretty cool, but this 'taped fist' match seems odd as the punches are far too over the top and wildly wide of the mark.

I was just talking to Jim Ross, or someone who told me he was Jim Ross, it's all hearsay at this point, that CM Punk is returning, or at least considering returning, who knows, even maybe stay retired. If he does return it will be at WrestleMania 31, or the Royal Rumble, it's not set in stone, all rumours at this point, might change. He wants to work with Roman Reigns or Dolph Ziggler, but it could also be Cena and HHH, even Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, keeping his choices open to Lesnar and Cesaro but not saying no to Adam Rose and Sandow, i was told but it's all unconfirmed but in case it happens you know where you heard it first, or second, depends on how many sites you read.

Me too, its like straight out of fist of the north star.

I remember eating up the Sting stuff during the nWo angle. God, it was great. I was 13 or so and it was so moody and fresh compared to what was happening just years before. I was young and dumb and it was just perfect timing. Fun, fun stuff. Can't wait to watch it again.

Crow Sting was so awesome.

And then you wonder how the fuck he got there from a surfer gimmick

I also wonder how he was so, so over and then turned into boring, like, Wolfpac/1999 Sting. And then I remember Starrcade 1997 ruining everything. :(

Pretty easy. Despite being nothing by loyal to WCW for his entire career, fans and other wrestlers believed he had turned his back on them and joined the nWo. So Sting said fuck y'all and got sad.

Mark Frenlen reporting from Wrestling 25/8:

Things could change, but at the time of this report WWE's current plan is for Sting to debut by dropping from the rafters in the cover of darkness to help The Usos take on The Wyatt Family. It's likely he'll be using their signature tribal face paint, possibly staying on as their manager in the long term.

Too soon. ;_;

Tonight's Raw sounds epic:

-Flair
-Sting
-CM Punk

WOW.

Are there really rumors about CM Punk returning? I've only been able to skim the topic here and there.

From Wrestle Madness:

Hulk Hogan is expected to interrupt Ric Flair tonight and to turn heel. Sources within the WWE say that Flair will then choose a rostered member to take on a wrestler of Hogan's choice. In the past, Flair has stated a desire to manage Dolph Ziggler, so we can only assume that Dolph would be at the top of the list for Flair. Sources close to Hogan say he has been mentioning, and even talking up, Cesaro. What this would mean for Paul Heyman is unknown at this time, but it looks like we may be seeing the start of the much hoped for Cesaro face turn.
