The word within WWE is that the firing of Bryan Danielson is a legit firing. All of the higher ups within WWE were informed of the firing before the item was posted on WWE.com. While the timing of the release is interesting, working Donna Goldsmith and Michelle Wilson on a wrestling angle is hard to believe. This appears legit and he's gone.

Bryan's the only one who cuts promos to what the smarks would say.

Perhaps it's why they chose him; he's the most popular NXT wrestler, who has the most work under him from the indies, and he cut two glorious promos and were "shoot" related, which gave fans like you and I great hope. I wouldn't necessarily insist he isn't a leader of the Invasion. Can't see why not to be honest.

Also he's still following NXT and WWE on his Twitter.
 
The idea they would work Donna Goldsmith and Michelle Wilson on a wrestling angle is also hard to fathom, and we've already seen examples of companies trying to work its employees and they are never good in the long-run

Yeah, unless they too are in on the work which makes sense seeing how they are really trying to push this angle.

What angle? There are 7 other NXT guys to release. They used Danielson's real name. He never had a storyline contract, so there's no reason to announce a release from one.

If this is a work, they're really going all out from a weird direction, because I don't see how this fits with what's going on at all.

Yeah, except you're not taking into consideration they might just be trying to work the wrestling smarks, in which case it wouldn't have to make sense from a stupid storyline perspective.
 
I hope he hasn't been legit released and its just some stupid angle. But if its real... maybe he lands on TNA, get some money to pocket for a while and retires peacefully from wrestling. Yay?

I still refuse to believe this. The only way he got legit fired is backstage politics. And unfortunately in this business, that's probably it. =(

I will say this though, if it is indeed a work, it's probably the best work they've ever done. Everyone sounds 50/50 on this.
 
You know I was trying think of when they would fuck this angle up. Never in a miilion years did I see this coming. I'm starting to question why the hell I'm watching WWE in the first place. I'm glad I was able to see him live while I had the chance. God this shit sucks.
 
If he was fired, he would be a bit more direct on Twitter about it. In fact, he probably would not have bothered posting about it in the first place, or he would have least followed up with clarification by now. WWE cannot stop him doing that can they?

David Lagana was a former writer for the WWE. I think he was there for a bit over 10 years starting from the late 90s to just a few years ago. He also used to write for Friends and I think he is or was a producer for Ring of Honor.

All the reports backstage after RAW was that the nxt rooks were praised, and they repeated it later.

Why fire Bryan now? You can't tell me they just noticed he was short.
 
Maybe if Justin Roberts didn't sell it like a moron it wouldn't have been so violent looking.

Plus, wasn't Bryan at the FCW beatdown? Why fire a guy for something he did on RAW that deemed inappropriate if you'll use him days later?

If true, which who knows after all of WWE's past rubbish angles, it's laughable.

You know the stupidest part about that being the reason. Considering how scripted WWE stuff usually is, someone probably told Danielson to choke Roberts with his tie.

It has to be a work. You don't fire someone for that. You at least fine, warn or give him a break as punishment.

Doing something you were probably in all likelihood told to do and getting fired for it. Sounds silly if it's true but I guess there is precedence with Hassan.

I liked the guy myself but yeah, he did get screwed over pretty badly.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone from one of the WWE sponsors like Mattel saw that choking spot and thought that was a little overboard considering how PG WWE is supposed to be.

It's funny how this Danielson firing could either turn this into one of the best storylines, or one of the worst - depending on whether or not it's a work.
