From Danielson Facebook

Mark Keller Daniel Bryan is the next Chris Benoit. If you think about it, they are so similar with their wrestling techniques only Daniel is more technical. He's the next Crippler!

Then a comment

Hikiko Mori Minus the homicide/suicide thing I'm guessing?

Did they fire the camera man for zooming in on it too?

Man, I am disgusted right now. The NXT angle was heavily built around Danielson and was by far the best thing to take place in WWE in years and they totally screw it up in less than a week by firing IMO the hottest guy in the company right now (outside of Punk of course but he loses momentum with all the jobs). Everything Danielson has done as of late has been GOLD.

If Danielson is ACTUALLY released, then wow, that'll really suck.

If it's a work, good job WWE, you made people feel like it's the late 90's or 80's again.

No way thats legit. I'm really interested to see the next episode of Raw now.
Edit: Hm

What I was told if someone very important complained about the angle and it was the idea that kids watching may think it's fun to choke people with their ties.

He was a scapegoat. They want him back when it blows over.

What I don't know is where the complaint came from, but obviously it was someone very powerful, because even people internally now that it's out can't understand why they didn't wait until Tuesday and have Cena destroy him on Raw on Monday.
If this is actually real then fuck. I wonder if Vince is actually working the people in the company too.

On the bright side, at least Cena isn't going to just destroy him on Monday. They could always have Danielson come back later claiming to be fired from the company for being too violent or something like that.

If he's really fired, he left really strong which means when he comes back he could probably make just as big an impact.

:lol SMH, I don't know what to think. Would go to a lot of trouble at this point just to kayfabe everyone, but I suppose those are the lengths you need to go to nowadays.

Maybe he was released with a 'wink-nudge' understanding that he'd be brought back when it blows over, as Meltzer mentions. But as it stands, it does definitely put a damper on this NXTinvasion thing now. Way to fuck things up just as it begins.

And if this is true, I really hope Linda doesn't win that Senate seat, because I don't think I could take anymore of this PG-era crap for four more years or longer. =(

Matt Hardy's worked firing is the only similar situation I can think of. But this doesn't make even as much sense as that did, and that didn't make much sense at all.

I want to believe it's a work, but right now, it feels like it isn't.

Makes no sense given the rest of the info that he was fired on the spot.

That said, given that it's the WWE- a move this nonsensical is believeable.

His star is defniitely rising.

The winds of change- isn't that Barrett's catchphrase though?

I'm 90% sure this is work.

Danielson fired!?

Please, please not be real, he's the best thing to happen to the WWE in ages and that's from someone that has never took any interest in the indies. This is either the WWE at the absolute top of their game or them completely losing it.

Yes, indeed it is. This alone is the biggest sign that this a work for me and if it is then by lord the WWE are on fire atm.

No way they would just give him over to TNA like that. This is a work.

Put it this way, this move alone would get me to start watching TNA and I've always viewed it as a joke before. I'm sure I'm not alone. Has to be a work, has to be. Barret and Danielson are the WWE's two biggest prospects atm for me, them two heading up a proper ruthless stable has awesome potential but then this is the WWE so...............

Did they ever show the Justin Roberts strangulation again?

I don't remember seeing it on the NXT or Superstars recaps of Raw, but I didn't see if they showed it on SD yet.

They edited the choke and the spit in Cena's face off of Raw.

HE's still a contracted employee. This is 100% storyline.

Danielson is about to go on a reign of terror choking people out. They know they have a breakout star, time for him to make an impression.

Don't know if it's been pointed out yet, but the news article on WWE.com about Danielson being released still links to his bio page. I don't think that's standard practice when a wrestler is released.

Calling it a work for now.

Not to mention that the firing hasn't yet appeared on the WWE Corporate website - Carlito's name was up there as soon as his firing was announced.

Would be so nice to have this storyline the rookies from season 2 do this storyline on Smackdown.

But Danielson more Rated R than Edge.

Edit: This a work, the WWE NXT twitter account is following new named Twitter account of Bryan Danielson something big is up.

I think this is legit.

Don't be a mark. They wouldn't let a future superstar go for no reason at all.
It's all storyline. This will build into something pretty big for Danielson, as has the whole NXT experience.

Ok, not sure what to think now.

PWINSIDER just put up this report...

The following story was broken on our Elite section overnight. If you want to get all of the news first, you can join our Elite section by clicking here.

Former WWE star Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson, the name we'll have to get used to calling him by again) was released today as punishment for going beyond the company's PG standards and practices during the NXT invasion angle on Monday, according to sources within the company. The belief among those I spoke to is that when Danielson choked Justin Roberts with his tie, he broke a company protocol that was put in place after the Benoit tragedy that talents were not to use ropes or objects to choke opponents.

I am told that the final decision was made earlier today and Danielson was informed shortly before the company publicly announced it. For those who are thinking this is an angle, I am told by everyone I have spoken to that it is not, although I want to point out a number of wrestlers in the company do believe it is a work.

For those who are wondering why the company is giving Danielson such a harsh punishment, well a former company executive is running for office, although how much of a cause and effect is there is anyone's guess. It's certainly a viable theory, since the company has been very gun shy about going outside of their PG rating.

There's no word as to whether Danielson was aware of the protocol at the time of the angle, although the Roberts choking was one of the elements that made the end of Raw so memorable. It's interesting to note that at least on the company's Youtube.com channel, the incident, including the choke, are still available for viewing.

The loss of Danielson will immediately change the future of the WWE NXT angle since he was considered the most versatile and well rounded performer of the group and would have been extremely important in carry the brunt of the in-ring work load.

The release of Danielson does put him in an amazing position on the independent scene. How many top flight stars get signed, leave, and get released right after laying out the WWE champion?

We'll have more on this as it develops.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see... On the one hand, this screams obvious work, but really, no one would really give a shit about this except Smarks, so who knows.

I'll go hang my head now.

WWE surprises me again by doing one of the dumbest fucking things they could possibly do.

ROH and TNA are now salivating.

WWE played the hand they were dealt. The would only act this brash when someone very, very important notices something they really didn't like.

Yeah the reason he got fired is pretty dumb.

Have a feeling he'll be back after Linda's senate campaign though.
Yeah, on the bright side, perhaps this gives that NXT group more of a chance to shine through, without being reliant on Danielson, who will obviously be back eventually. This may work out for the best.

Judderman said:
He changed his account name, he didn't make a new account.

Yeah but why not remove his account from NXT and wwe universe twitter accounts and recreate a NXT version of the accoiunt and have it linking to that on WWE.com
