Now finally make the 750.000 USD tier console versions for X1 and PS4
PLEASE !!!
Given that it's running on the Enhanced Edition engine, I would be very surprised if this wasn't headed for consoles eventually no matter what. They could make a stretch goal out of it, but I think they're probably waiting to see how the EE reception is on consoles and/or want to focus on making the base PC version the best it can be.
Yea, there is a very good chance that D:OS is going to megabomb on consoles, so they probably don't want to dedicate development resources to it until they know there is an audience for it.
Must be surreal to have to think of million dollar stretch goals two days into a campaign
To clarify, I meant less about the actual stretch goals and more that they're 3/4ths of the way to a million in 2 days. Not if they are smart about it. The only times Stretch Goals are tough are when you just throw shit at a wall.
First game sold over 500k copies as of September 2014Only concern at this point is the the ambitious online systems will adversely impact the game design and/or use too many resources.
Of course, this is from someone who isn't interested in the competitive aspect and wonders how big an audience there is for it in a hardcore turn-based rpg.

I was referring to the audience for the competitive mp mode. It wasn't in the first game.First game sold over 500k copies as of September 2014
And while I was concerned about the MP focus at first, the dev's rationale convinced me oherwise. MP means each quest line and choice has to be very fleshed out because it has to be fun and engaging for different players. So single player will benefit by having incredibly fleshed out and expanded quests and emergent options and gameplay choices.

If they only knew the response this Kickstarter was going to getlooking at the two demo videos, it looks like a lot of the effort this time round if going to go into sheer amount of races, skills, backgrounds, competitive quests, personal story lines and dialogue options. So mainly writing.
Also watching the two demos, with the "dark source" & "so many oppurtunities to fuck over your friends" options, this feels perfect base for Avellone to write some content for.

they made a post on that
There’s no guarantee that we’ll have any success. If we were to fail, I guess that will mean we’re on the wrong track, and that we would have to return to the drawing board. It would be a real pity if that happens, but there’s no certainties in life, and perhaps we’re completely wrong about this. But that too would still be valuable feedback.
how old are you? seriously?Release date is so far away....and it will probably be delayed..../wrists

Finally got a chance to login and pledge, managed to snag a $25 Divine Dibs, yes!!
Now to actually get around to finishing 1. Director's Cut when!?!?
Oh good a digital deluxe edition, bumping my shiz.
I'm struggling to rein in my expectations. Orthodox developments like improved role-playing (with the emphasis on origins), four-player multiplayer, and refinements to combat and the character sheet are enough to take a good game into the top tier of RPGs (the combat system alone has it knocking at the door). But if they deliver on the competitive multiplayer aspect, we could be talking about an all-time classic.
