Sab + Boost is rather godly.

_____ + Boost is godly. I never bothered with the assault class or boost until yesterday, really (outside of getting medal). It's so lame... and so easy. This is how S&D works on radec with the assault class: Hang in the hallway, approach doorway, fire rocket into room, get 3 kills, hang back in hallway, reload, approach doorway, fire rocket in room, get 2 kills, repeat. I had my first 500 point game on that map. 30 minute S&D is just insane when the bombs are in a room and rockets are allowed. And once I was able to pick up another weapon, having the assault class + normal weapon + extra health + boost = ridiculousness. I felt dirty, like I do when I use the shotgun.

As for boost, it honestly felt like cheating. I moved so much faster than everyone else, they were firing into the wall as I circled around them and shot them in the back.

most sensible post in the entire thread, thank you, I felt alone when I was calling cheaters on those taking advantage of p2p lag + boosting and no one bothered. I'm sure boosting could be fun and all in LAN games (lol) or with dedicated servers anyway.

That extra processing your set is doing isn't causing a bit of lag while you play? I've always heard to turn all processing effects on your tv set off.

I'd love to hear this game in 7.1, or even 5.1. I'm playing this with just a 2.1 Logitech set right now. My 5.1 surround sound setup is still boxed away (for now). Can't wait to hear this game in 5.1 as soon as I get everything together.

All Killzone 2 players automatically compete for honor ranks, which are awarded every week to the cream of the crop of players in the universe. Honor ranks are awarded by comparing the overall points scored by a player over the period of one week, starting and ending on Sunday, midnight (GMT).

Speaking of honor ranks, I came across a guy who kept screaming, "i'm a top 3% player! I shouldn't be dying like this!" every time I killed him. Was too funny. I made it my personal mission to find and kill them bc he never failed to remind me that he's a 3% player.

After extensive research I have determined that the best map to get Air Support Specialist on is Corinth Crossing during Capture and Hold at the highest capture point and when defending in Search and Destroy. I'm already up to 5/8. lol boosting.

It's also great for getting the sniper medals too. During S&D, I sit on the catwalk above the bomb placement area, and I snipe people as they come onto the catwalk. In the 4 times I started doing that, I easily earned 4 sniper medals.

I'll also echo that I can't remember seeing a red badged player not placing high in the server. The few times that I have, it was obvious they came in late. Kills/deaths at the end of the game, not recognizing the name from the start, etc.

Just to be clear, I'm not denying that a lot (or even most) of the honor rank players are talented, but when it comes down to total points I think it skews to people with the time to generate those points or who play in servers geared towards boosting stats.

You guys got lucky on that Search & Retrieve Defence. When dunp revived me my weapon got stuck, I had to change to the fucking pistol then back to the sniper to be able to use my weapon again. Fix this shit Guerrilla! And then when I got it back I sniped (I think it was Poly) twice while placing the charge and he didn't die. smh.
