The problem with lower resolutions really lies with modern display technology. With fixed pixels, any resolution failing to match the native screen resolution needs to be scaled. It's the scaling bit the resolution itself that is the real problem. If displays weren't limited by this factor the whole argument would go out the window.They notice that the mp was blurry and blamed it on the AA used. If people were as sensitive to res as most claimed they're than this should have come to light a lot sooner.
Killzone uses a method that side steps the need for scaling and instead produces a very different look in motion. The issues most people have with lower resolutions doesn't apply here.
