Not a big fan of first person shooters but Killzone feels like the first game I should play on my PS4. Maybe it'll change my views towards FPS.

Killzone Shadow Fall:
Pros: 1080p 60 FPS MP, very likely SP campaign story will be better than BF4, SP campaign will be more open ended and less corridor style maps, free MP maps, customizable game modes, all guns unlocked at start, dat chirp

Cons: max 24 player count, Killzone series considered good but not great by many, dat rain?!

Battlefield 4:
Pros: 64 player count, huge maps with destruction, vehicles, lots of guns

Cons: DLC maps may fragment community, time spent unlocking guns/attachments may take a long time, crappy SP campaign story

But either game should be fine, really. I am going with Killzone because I didn't like the way DLC maps fragmented the community in BF3, and Killzone seems to be a better 'next gen showcase game'

I am more excited for this than any other single player FPS campaign of the past few years. It's taking what I loved about older FPS in terms of level design and mixing it with next gen tech. Everything they've said about the single player was how I was hoping FPS would evolve and it's great that they're going to be setting that standard on day 1 of next gen. I really hope they pull it off.

Reading the Killzone timeline proves to me that they definitely have a rich backstory to the whole game, but you would never know it from playing the games.

Yeah, still so much potential. Now would be a great time for it to really fully come through in-game being a launch game and given the time jump making everything new, hopefully our character is pretty memorable as well.

Halo: CE is important because it proved that consoles were a legitimate platform for FPS's, ushered in the console FPS era and shifted attention to multiplayer gaming. Killzone (or any other FPS) cannot do those things. They've already happened, they are one-time events. All Killzone can do is build upon them.

I changed my order to free shipping since it's still estimated to arrive before the 15th. Saved me a few dollars :)

I've played and enjoyed both Killzone 2 and 3, so I can not wait to play Shadow Fall. I already have my copy that I got from GameStop on the 30th of October, so I'm ready for the 15th!

You can add bots to online matches for any Warzone you create.
Human players can replace bots during the match, to ensure that there’s always a consistent amount of players present in the Warzone.
You can even add bots to only one faction, to allow for ‘Bots vs. Humans’ type Warzones.

Do we know how thorough the customization options are for Warzones? I want specifics. What can be toggled on / off, what has a range of options (movement speed?), etc. A video of all the options or a written list would be fantastic.

Do we know all the MP game modes yet? I know there are a total of 8 and 4 of them are new so I'm curious. I hope there is a CTF game mode (both Battlefield and COD took out CTF) cause that is always my fav game mode.

Apparently the main character,
fuck knows what his name is,
is surrounded by some sort of futuristic distortion field which hides him from enemies but as a side effect, gives off the illusion of the rain flying straight through the ground.

This would explain why in the MP the rain splashes realistically off the ground, the troopers just don't have that form of cutting edge technology.

Fantastic OP. This will be the game I christen my PS4 with. Really looking forward to the single player. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

With people that have this in the launch day bundle with amazon, will they ship the game out first or both at the same time? I have the knack bundle.

But my order for Killzone still says estimated shipping November 15 : (

I preordered Killzone separately, and it still says ETA of the 15th, even though it's showing as in stock.
