Obviously the game isn't going to make Henry a bigoted piece of shit, which would offend a wide swath of gamers
And gay people make up like 5% of the population. Unlike peoples views on transgenders, people acknowledge that gay people exist. It would be silly to not represent any gay people in a big RPG. Trans people today represent like 1% of population, it was almost certainly much less in mideval Europe

But it's an RPG and those people don't have to choose the racist options. Based on the logic of some people in this thread he should be able to do all manner of things because hey, "you can choose to not do those things". Will the game allow me to play Henry as a Hispanic person, seeing as a big portion of humanity are of that ethnicity? Should he be able to be played as a person who's attracted to his own family members and even be able to pursue a romance towards his mother or an older sister if they were in the second game, as incestuous people exist?
He sold Warhorse so he's basically a sell-out. As far as I know KCD1 was a success so if he truly valued his independence he could have stayed completely independent? But apparently money was more important.

Well, lets be real, Cumans arent viewed as good ppl on the game and are refered in all kind of bad way, i dont remember i've seeing a Black person in the game, also, u are free to go out at night killing as many women and poor pll as you want, so just cause you cant say racist thing It dosnt mean you cant act like one.

Vávra never owned majority stake in Warhorse. To found the studio he needed over million dollars and external investor (czech coal "baron" Bakala) provided that (as well as majority of KCD budget), and he then owned over 70% of Warhorse. It took them 2 years to find the investor, btw. Bakala then wanted to realize gains from his investment, that's why the studio was sold. But Vávra and Klíma (WH co-founders) did meet with Wingefors (CEO of Embracer) and received assurance that creative side of the game would not be influenced. Which is why they agreed to stay onboard after the sale.

The tags he added are a different colour.
You can add/vote for your own tags and they will appear first for you (and you alone). For example I just added immersive sim and this is how it now appears on mobile (the tag colour differences for your own added tags appear on desktop):

I am not logged in and I can see the LBCDEF+ tag. So yeah....some people are really mad now. I am still thinking this game is everything but yr usual DEI slop (no pronouns, no SBI, actual nice women with boobs, swearing language left and right)....they just made a mistake with giving Henry gay options.

One of the early sections of the game has Hans spying on naked women bathing in a pond. Henry is with him. Something like that would never be in a DEI game. This is still going to be the most uncompromised AAA game in a long timeI am not logged in and I can see the LBCDEF+ tag. So yeah....some people are really mad now. I was thinking to jump in on this game hoping they would improve it across the board. This is not what I was thinking by improvement. Seems very modern audience to me. I am less interested now. Pre-ordered as soon as it was possible. First game is one of my favorite games of all time and this is looking to one up it in every way possible.

He's not. He's what you want to be. If you want to be straight/gay/bi, you can chose one of them. He's not by default bi.

So the first game, which I have not played, did not let you role play romance options, but the sequel will? That is quite the change. And why even do it? It really comes across as pandering.
Also, just because BG3 did something, does not mean every new game should. I liked BG3 well enough, but I was pretty sick of turning down relentless advances from every jackass at camp every night. And when I said no, they didn't take it very well either. It seems they wanted an orgy every night to be happy. A minor annoyance overall, but still an annoyance. I do not think the BG3 approach is applicable for the Kingdom Come games, which seem to be far more interested in historical accuracy and are less about fantasy like BG.

Correction - you can romance two females and there are optional female "bath houses" to visit. Further, mandatory sequences indicate that Henry is heterosexual, though there is no mandatory romance, but the energy is palpable. There are what are portrayed as homosexual characters in the game, but they are not romance options and Henry does not experience scenes in which there is the indication he swings that way. But large, medieval Bohemian cities change people.
