I don't think he'd just tweet it like that if it was still happeningmaybe this is the game he is working on for microsoft
"Black jokes" lol
It's unclear. "Drama", maybe it was for that tv dept of hisCan somebody transcribe these tweets as I can't follow what order they're supposed to be in, and if Kojima was the one saying he was making an action FILM or it was somebody else.
« Inspired »Well wouldn't be the first time he's been inspired for sure

Tell me you haven't seen the show without actually saying it, what games are there where you're just a normal dude trying to kill superheroes?Superheroes?
Again?
....
Really?
Superheroes are the new zombies, which were the new bubedro bald marines.Tell me you haven't seen the show without actually saying it, what games are there where you're just a normal dude trying to kill superheroes?
A AAA game where you're a zombie killing the remnants of humanity or a member of an alien race ripping through dudebro marines would be fucking awesome. When people say "zombies" or "dudebro marines" you know damn fucking well this isn't what they're talking about, and to pretend that they're the same is fucking stupidSuperheroes are the new zombies, which were the new bubedro bald marines.
Just move on already, how many dumb blokes in pajamas do the world still need.
The vast, vast majority of people who watch the show (let alone are aware of its existence) know that it's also a comic to this very day lol, I didn't know until like halfway through season two and I'm a huge fan and terminally online lolThe comic is from 2006.
Did Kojima learned of its existance only thanks to the tv show?

Aren't both of them about a special squad fighting superheroes? To be fair, the show has made radical changes from the comic, it's not following the comic storylines aside from the broadest strokes like Homelander bad etc.

Doesn't matter becauseThe show and comic ? I mean yeah they follow the same establishing narrative hook but the character development and major plot beats in the show have taken a huge departure from how the same things happened in the comics.
A buddy (male/female) thing with a special detective squad facing off against legendary heroes behind the scenes
"New" doesn't exist, it can only be new for the individual who never experienced something yet, but it's always a mix of things you already kow. That's the reason you can't imagine a color you never saw, a sound you never listened, etc... Even monsters, aliens and fantasy worlds in fiction are a mix of earthy things. Nothing "new".I mean Kojima has taken heavy inspiration in every single game he's made so far. Even Death Stranding, as much as people call it weird, has tons of concepts in it that aren't exactly new.
Fail to see how that would have been an issue.
It'd be like a superman game, and all the gameplay dilemmas that come with that.Someone should make a game based on the boysplaying as Homelander would be pretty awesome and you wouldn't have the budgetary limits the show does, he could actually cause destruction.

If someone made a game for the boys you wouldn't be playing for vought lmao, you'd be playing as hughie or butcher, or alongside them.... Playing as a supe doesn't really make sense in the context of a boys video gameIt'd be like a superman game, and all the gameplay dilemmas that come with that.
The interesting thing about the show isn't that Homelander is powerful, it's the rampant abuse of power and PR driven dystopia that reflects the real world. The awfulness, the hypocrisy, the selfishness of just about everybody. If someone were to make The Boys into a game, I would hope it'd be one of those choice and consequence type of adventures, Supermassive Games or Quantic Dream style.
About a comic that is technically a rip-off of DC/Marvel superheroes. While it's a neat concept and I enjoy it, Brightburn style as well... it's all too ironic, innit.Kojima having reservations about creating derivative rip offs of contemporary sci-fi is cute. It's what his career was built on.
