Tani is absolutely useless. I don't even know why that character exists. She adds zero value to the show.

Hell, I feel more for secondary and background characters like Cortez and Brannan than I do for Tani, and she's main cast.

how many episodes can be left to shoot? Aren't they done shooting?

Pilot was fine rest of the episodes needed more love.

They rapin' errrbody?

What was the special forces guy trying to do? Why did he want to hear his name? Why didn't he just run away?

It seems like he really wanted to help the XO find the mole, get the key, and ends thing peacefully because its in his best interest that it does or the whole island goes to shit once word gets out they lost launch capabilities, and he dies on the island too.

So he contacted his superiors in the CIA they decline to give up the mole. I believe in spy lore getting your name back means this is your last mission and your done, finish the mission if you live go anywhere in the world you want and lay low forever. Edit: Also I think it could also mean finish off any loose ends and come home.

Now the plot hole in this is if an agent contacted the CIA about the mole on the sub it would mean that the CIA knows the mole successfully stole the firing key. I did not see next weeks preview but I would be shocked if the Colorado is not attacked in next weeks episode.

I've defended this show a lot over its short run, but I'm kind of happy it's ending because it's started to be pretty bad, so I am glad they're ending it on (hopefully) a half decent note instead of letting it become a drawn out trainwreck (see also: BSG).

Yeah, that was a bit of a weak episode. There are only 5 more to go though, so hopefully they're able to end things on a high note.

I was wondering the exact same thing, one of your officers (?) go missing and instead of worrying you throw a Thanksgiving dinner. :p

ugh, i'm really liking this show despite many of it's faults. the hostage situation was tense as fuck and really disturbing. hoping the writers wrap the series off nicely.

So the COB is still missing? I hope he is going to go T-1000 on Surat

Yes, and it doesn't seem anyone really notices or cares. Well with the exception of the last episode, but how much time has passed from when he was kidnapped to the last episode?

Lol yeah I forgot about the cob. Funny how they keep moving along not doing anything.

Holy shit this weeks episode was amazing.

Super tense.

Best episode yet.

edit-I know they only got 13 episodes, anyone know what number this week was? Afraid to search and somehow spoil myself finding the wrong link.

edit2-realized I could just look on Hulu, that was just 9 so we got 4 to go. Expect them to all be like this one since they knew that they were only getting the 13 at about the time the last 4 would be getting made. Should be a great finish.

Great episode this week. I love how Christine has totally subverted all the wife of a miliatary man cliches, she has a spine and isn't afraid to get herself involved in the plot. These type of characters are usually so passive. Great female characters all round in this show. Another reason I'm going to lament its passing so deeply.

Good episode on Thursday and a nice bounce back from last week's installment. Let's hope they finish strong in the last few episodes.

While a COB going missing should raise flags in general, when somebody is potentially awol they usually move on.

The only problem I had with the episode is why Cortez gave a shit about giving back the key if she is a mole for the CIA. She could of just sat back watch shit hit the fan, I'm starting to think maybe she isn't the mole and just took the key to stop Chaplin from actually going through with his threats.

We saw her using the transmitter though, atleast I think we did?

She gave it back because her family was also on that boat.

she is the CIA mole, we've already seen her use the CIA communication station on top of the mountain. she gave the key back because of the family members being executed on live tv, which was a very intense scene.

Killthee

helped a brotha out on multiple separate occasions!
I must of missed the scene where she communicated with the c.i.a.

When did she use the transmitter? I thought she just buried the key.
2 episodes ago. Near the start of the episode Sophie tells the XO the numbers station on the island is shortwave and very difficult to locate. XO tells her to inform him when she finds out more about the signal. Then they cut to Cortez climbing the mountain to the transmitter and opening up her notepad to decode the message. The notepad is already filled with numbers so she's probably been there several times before.

One thing that bugged me about that episode is the XO bashing the transmitter instead of using it as bait to discover the saboteur.

That would have required wasting time waiting for the mole to appear. They don't exactly have all the time in the world.

^He could of gave a local a radio and a couple of hundred bucks to sit on the site from a distance, report the minute somebody shows up.

Thanks for the info I sort of have a habit missing the first couple of minutes of this show, because I forgot its on or I know they probably have a minute recap before it actually starts.

t

I thought the same thing. They keyw as the only thing keeping them alive. It was worth camping for.

Mind you, I now have a feeling theyll think the COB is the mole.

So it was a set up, that sucks. If they were not going to kill her at least have her in a situation were she is useful to the plot. Like being a freedom fighter or something cool instead of being a prisoner.

That ending, quite frankly, was stupid. As much as I like the concept and Andre Braugher, I'm glad the show is ending. At least it doesn't have a chance to become another Homeland.

I dont think it was stupid at all.

Vans dont just blow the fuck up. Made much more sense.

Well, more the fact that she gets kidnapped only to... get kidnapped again.

The only thing that episode established was that dude now thinks his wife is dead (from a randomly exploding van, as you say), so what the heck was the point?

Maybe I'm just tired of serialized television where every episode has to end on a stupid twist because they need to stretch a series out for 20+ episodes. But between this show and Homeland, I'm not even sure if American producers can sustain 13 episodes without heading into Lost territory.

I was confused by how Sam and James made it back to the island. The sub took Sam and James to the Philippines, but how did they get back? The sub didn't bring them back and there's a blockade so it's not like they could have just showed up on a random boat. That didn't make any sense.

Only 3 episodes left!

Really? What about the myriad shows that do sustain 13 episodes without heading into crazy land?

CIA wants him back on the island to keep things under control, wasn't going to happen with his wife still alive.

I assume when the time is right, they'll manipulate him with the information that she is alive.

Even Awake had to go into crazy land in its last episode, just because it could. :p

I think Terriers is the last pure 13 episode series that just works as a complete thing and never really fucks up anything too bad. Of course, I haven't watched every TV show made since then...

I suppose it all depends on who gets her. I guess it might make sense if the CIA is behind the second kidnapping. If not, none of it makes sense.

Also, is ABC going to burn off episodes through the holidays, or are they actually going to air episodes in January?

It's a magical kind of blockade that lets everything through that the plot demands

the shoot of them walking with a bad green screen of Philippines behind them was just embarrassing for everyone involved

I live in the Philippines and I burst out laughing when I saw that shot. That was the worst shot I've seen in a US-TV show.
