Barring a miraculous ratings recovery, it's going to get cancelled. The hope is that they'll be able to come up with a satisfying ending for it.
I'm okay with that, as long as they end it. Show seems more like a mini series then a normal show. I don't see how they could drag this out over more then one season.

They could move the island.
I saw that happen once

Then we'd have a reboot of ...

Well, after Terriers and Chicago Code, you'd hope Ryan would have a contingency plan anyway.
The Shield reboot on CBS starring james olmos as vic , ian mcshane as shane, john hawkes as lemanski and earl brown as ronnie.

it will be canceled after 3 episodes.

Damn, I really like this show. It seems like every new show I get into, it gets canned (Terra Nova,Chicago code etc).

Read between the lines..

Love it.

And are people on subs really that inexperienced? I mean they can't even shoot.

Sorry for the late reply, just started watching today.
for the Navy most likely, Marines & Army techs would be alot better at it.

Didn't watch the pilot because I thought the premise was stupid but im loving it so far.

This episode is really weird or my TV is screwing up and cutting the episode up because every commercial break it comes back with something different. Like Sam had that guy tied to a chair and then the commercial comes back and the tied up guy is with his bros and the now awake french girl.

Yeah, you've got to have gone through the Flashback Episode Training Class.

If you had, it was an ok-ish episode, but only for the added "secret team" and more screen time for Ronnie MFing Gardocki.

It made sense by the time it was over but for a while there I thought something had fucked up somewhere and cut half the episode :lol

Jesus, this show goes at A THOUSAND MILES PER HOUR. Everyone was wondering how they'd get twenty-some episodes out of this story but they seem to be frigging cramming things into each episode like there is no tomorrow.

That was one confusing episode, they should have done a straight forward flashback, not a jigsaw piuzzle
Seemed to me only the last scene
the hallucination kiss b/w the XO and Sophie
was the only one out of order. Seemed like the two threads were going in order. It's probably just that the text on the screen made it harder to follow than just showing before/after going in the same direction.

I still don't understand how Speedman went from having the Seals dude tied up to Seals dude suddenly being in control again and ordering the French woman around, while Speedman was suddenly somewhere else with Aussie girl loving dude.

Can somebody explain this mess?

Im surprised they didnt show that actually. I guess its the part he doesnt remember?

I just assume after he has seal guy half dead on the floor, the other seals came in with serart and guns and so took over.

It was a good episode except for all the sentimental crap. Cut that shit.

Almost certain he knocked out the seal dude, then stumbled back into the village and forgot where he was, then he got tasered by Seurat.

The jigsaw puzzle structure of the episode, coupled with the annoying hallucinations, really put a damper on things. Aside from that, I thought it was a pretty good episode.

I can't take this show seriously until they just put a bullet in the head of the leader criminal thug guy on the island. All he does is cause problems... it's silly. Just kill him and be done with it, they're the Navy for god's sake.

Yeah things are starting to get a bit silly with the guy now. Its not like the Chief of the Boat can hide what was done to him and there is no way the Navy would fuck around and give this guy the leeway he has been given.

XO is getting a bit stupid as well questioning the execution of the guy. Its a warzone damn right the top of the chain of command is judge and jury. This isn't a game.

You don't just kill people.

You're right.

They are military.

Had my butt clenched the entire time during the feet burning scene. Show is getting pretty dark.

I expect an all out war between the tribe and the boat crew pretty soon.

Also, am I right to say that the black ops guy that they captured from last week is one of the 'good guys' fighting against the current government. Was abit confused when they were discussing bringing the XO's wife to the island

I think the reasoning is the village would turn on them if they did kill him. Like most major drug lords that own large territory, they are kind/generous to the people in his territory. So when somebody with some authority tries to do something about them the people resist/impede them.

The only way to kill him is probably making a deal with Serrat's second in command and hoping he has enough clout to keep the people in check. The show would get even darker if they kill Serrat and then have to kill/suppress the people on the island.

I just finished episode 5 last night, but this show is really starting to hit it's stride. Still, the only character that's really awesome is the captain. The XO guy has a really douchey face, and the seal guy is pretty unbelievable as a seal. He's built like some surfer dude, he should be a big burly dude with a lumberjack beard.

It's still pretty awesome. When the Secretary of State (?) got shot, I said wow. I hope they get to finish the season.

They need to pass these scripts past me to tweak them.

The two surviving seals could be so much more useful, if only the CO and XO would sit down and talk with them, and get their help even more for just island goings on.

So the mole has a radio somewhere on the island, so simple unleash the Seals to find it, ask them to help. It is in their best interests.

After what they did with the COB, just again put the seals in charge of the security detail that just goes and kills all the bad island thugs/gangsters.

But this episode seemed like such a backtrack on what they had built up with the head island gangster, he sided with them to keep the french girl alive.....so they had a bridge to build better relations with the gang thugs, makes no sense to suddenly up the hostility on both sides so drastically.

Way they are building up the USA President just seems far to simple and to easy to resolve. So a little disappointed.

Oh damn how sad the spy is who it is! DAMN! noooo not that person.

the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword shoot the gun

I have no idea why the fuck that criminal guy is still alive

The one night stand scene came out of nowhere and was completely unbelievable. These guys have zero chemistry. I guess it was just done to give Seal dude som emotional conflict or whatever.

Yea, gangster dude is way past annoying now. I still don't understand why you would try and test a guy that can initiate Earth's final level, in his sleep. smh.

I'm actually glad this show is probably getting cancelled, because all I'm seeing is a build-up to some shitty contrivance that will extend the story beyond a single season.

This is not a multi-season show concept, they can't drag the whole conspiracy crap beyond a single season without some shitty twist at the end that takes all the progress they've made, and throws it out the window.

If the conspiracy gets wrapped up this season.

They could take the show to another level, if Champlain decides he really has nothing to lose he could decide to be Ultimate Dictator of Sainte Marina.

The world already fears him so why not keep the power.

Well, it's a show that I never felt could go on for multiple seasons anyway. But I'm sure they didn't design the 13 episodes as the "entire run" as well.

Don't care about how any of the romances turn out. Just care about:

1. What the Seal guy's did and why they just won't talk
2. Why the attempt to make the Colorado launch nukes, and the resulting attack on the ship, as well as why the US still went ahead and nuked Pakistan
3. Is the Captain really crazy or not.

and a tiny bit of intrigue over the whole "mineral sample/secret worth of the Island" plot. Who knows, maybe the whole thing US thing was an attempt to grab this island for "whatever it's hiding"

Another great episode, followed by bad news :(

Hope the writers have the sense to wrap everything up and be known for making an excellent mini-series.
