i'm gonna love new poppy, she fits so well with my playstyle. like braum for toplane.
Really positive on visual design/kit/VO work. Glad they updated the splashes. Blacksmith Poppy might be the best splash in the game.

Illaoi seems to have huge aoe damage upside, however it seems harder to pull off than the threat of Darius' upside potential (execute resets)
On the plus side, her low side is a little more useful than Darius' since her E seems useful for poke/catch purposes and has a decent range

Yeah I never bought her cause I thought her art (default skin) looked dreadful. But that new Poppy art looks sweettt and well done.
Plus never was too sure what she bought to the table. The rework though will be worth my 450 ip.
Granted in my defense I was scrambling to buy runes with my IP. I just finally fleshed out my rune pages a few weeks ago so just started buying champs recently with IP (Malphite, Soroka, Jax) and soon poppy

We need a "Day of the Tentacle" skin for Illaoi ASAP.
Just finished trying out Poppy in the jungle, checking out clears and such. She feels damn solid. Can do a full clear with only a single pot used in a machete+3pots starts. Not a particularly fast initial clear, but it gains speed quickly thanks to the high base damage on Q. The slow field on Q may as well not be there. Even at max rank the field is so small that scuttle crab and minions having no issues moving out of it, so I doubt it'll pose a problem to champions. But whatever, despite the slow her Q is really just a spammy damage spell. Just don't expect to regularly land the second portion of the damage on a target unless you combo'ed E->Q for the stun.
Her auto-attack is just so goddamn crisp. It has this fantastic snap to it. In terms of raw numbers her attack speed isn't any higher than other tanks like Naut, Sej, etc. but the snap makes it feel way faster than it actually is. The burst potential is really strong. She may even feel more like an assassin in the early game that transitions into a tank later on as opposed to being a straight tank.
Her build possibilities are really solid. I think an underrated item on her, though it is in her recommended items, will be Iceborne Gauntlet. Never even crossed my mind that IBG could interact with her passive when I first saw her kit. So you can do stuff like activate her speed up (W skill), activate the sheen effect and through out a ranged AA to create the slow field and give yourself lots of time to setup E correctly. Like a very, very soft form of initiation.
Only peeve I have with her is collecting the buckler. The object is really small and you have to be directly on it to grab it. I had instances where the buckler fell under a caster minion and that was that - couldn't grab it. That's how small the collision radius on the thing is. Going around the jungle it was pretty routine to have the buckler fly off into the rocks, cliffs, forest, under monsters, etc. It's honestly a real pain in the ass to collect and I'll settle for nerf to the passive's raw numbers if it can be more user friendly.

Yomu didn't get nerfed I think so it's still good. I think most people rush ER, finish boots, then build a Shiv.or Yomu depending.
From what i can tell people are building her very similar to Darius. So Hydra > tanky I guess

Interesting, I have this bad habit of spamming her abilities and thus I run out of mana :X, but Hydra does feel like it'd be good on her. Although her attack speed is sloooooooooooooooooow, it makes Sivir's look like Kalista's....
