CLG Froggen is playing Anivia on his stream. Build: Merc treads, Archangel's, Trinity Force, Leviathan, Randuin's. He's currently 14/1/16. Do not try this at home.
Dyrus usually is mono-toned and he doesn't go in-depth like some other players. He's just a really skilled player to watch.
I really need to learn Veigar. Dude just melts people away.
I know this is a terrible idea, but I'm actually considering it since my ranked elo is so in the basement that she's probably viable: I kind of want to learn katarina.
I'm trying to find someone with the potential to carry games, and I need to become either a consistently good jungle or mid since I'm an okay top lane player (though I should also become better with other top lane champions). Last night, I had the singular fortune of being on a team that picked teemo against kog'maw...twice in a row. Twice in a row, the same kog'maw player owned the team because of that, and twice in a row, the same katarina player got fed mid lane and owned our team. Seeing katarina feed on an annie, who has a stun, made me think that maybe I can at least get good enough to beat bad teams that don't use the CC efficiently.
My brilliant plan is to build boots, spellvamp revolver, parts of rylais (shoes at the same time? sorc shoes/mercury treads?), then deathcap. If I can get that far I'll probably be doing OK. Is this awesome y/n.

Might seem terrible, but at ELO Hell sometimes the real plans for real higher level matches need to be thrown out. I totally admit I'm not that great, but my buddy and I have had the worst luck with afk teammates and feeders over the past few weeks that I'm in ELO hell.
This has prompted me to bust out Jungle Yi. If you can just make it out of the 1st 20 mins without getting to owned he can really start to carry stuff if you get his AS out up the arse + a bloodthirster item. At this ELO nobody buys a ton of armor so I can usually carry through since he's got such crazy AS + Movement.
Boken says he like, only plays with girls (or bot games since he's busy?). =(

And yes, I tried busting out jungle master yi, though I'm not optimal with it.
Sure you can learn Katarina and carry, but I think your Riven is good enough to carry you out. The problem I think you have is that you tunnel vision your lane too much. Sure its nice that you dominated your lane, but you need to spill that over to other lanes. Gank mid or something. Riven is so fucking scary because her burst with flash, W, Q, Ignite, R is immense. You should also learn to make plays. If you're the one that's ahead on your team, your team would listen to you... so you should be able to determine which objectives to take etc.

You're probably right about tunnel vision etc., and my builds are probably sub-optimal.
Partly, after over 100 Riven games I don't want to try 100% Riven in ranked, especially since I still feel like she's situational. I found she's bad against pantheon, for instance, due to the ranged + longer stun + AA block. Yesterday I played against a vlad, and though I bullied him very early, the ranged harass + heal he gets made it really tough for me to farm, so I mostly stayed back towards the turret rather than trying to trade with him, I was taking so much damage. The only reason I won the lane and did well overall is because we had a (surprisingly) good jungle fiddlesticks who ganked 2-3 times. After that point I think I had enough magic resist and damage to take vlad down myself with ignite, but I'm not sure it's a matchup I could solo to carry a game with otherwise.
But to a large degree I guess I want some variety and to learn someone else for now, while still playing Riven off and on.

Dignitas's Scarra plays Kat in high elo solo queue very frequently, watching some of his games could give you a better idea about whether you want to pick up Kat.
No one in the channel responds when I ask if anyone wants to play normal/solo queue so I get stuck with the Xin Zhao Panda Express on my team feeding Mordekaiser.
I'll play with you. I'm only level 21 so the game wouldn't be too bad for either of us. I just have to remember to join the NeoGAF channel when I'm playing. I'll probably just turn it to auto join.
I typically only play for an extended period of time on Mon or Wed after work though. It's the nights the wife works lol.
By the way, that katarina really nailed home the actual difference in skill level some people have, despite some/most people trying to use normal team compositions and follow the basic game concepts. =/ During the second game, I was like, why are you such low elo, and they're like, this is a friend's account. That is one of the few times that I would actually believe someone who said that, lol.
Poor Krepo. He was about to land the perfect Anivia stun that could have resulted in a penta - the other team was low after fighting Nashor and grouped up outside the entrance. 0.1 second before the stun landed, Janna used her ultimate, pushed them all away and the enemy team went on to score an ace :lol
Anivia stun confuses me. 2-3 times I walked into the ice ball as Sivir with the shield, the shield vanished as you might expect, but I'm almost certain I still ended up stunned. Is that a bug or some secondary effect?

I was playing as Ashe and the enemy Singed kept on focusing me. Literally would just run straight to me and no one on my team would help. I had to try to run away from him/kite him all the while auto attacking the main clusterfuck during team battles.
My question is, what would you guys do in the situation? How do you handle Singed as an AD carry when he decides to just focus you and no one else.

Sounds like a bug although it does apply "chilled" and a stun. Maybe the shield absorbed the frost effect + damage but the stun was activated after it had passed through you?
Honestly, mid game with ashe you just can't do anything since she sucks to much mid game. Ashe is probably the best kiter in the game, so just kite. Mid game ashe you are relying on your team to fallow up on your initiations. Late game just kill him. Late game, ad carries are god. As an ad carry, just attack whoever is closest, even if its the tank. If singed runs at you flash away, gain as much distance and possible between you and him. If he keeps following you chances are his teammates are really far behind him, down a tank, and losing to your team who has tanks. If he turns back around to go back into the fight, autoattack and abuse the fact that you have an OP perma-slow and range.
If you can get your team to listen, when singed runs at you you can try to just focus him and have your team burst him down before the rest of his team catches up.

Hahaha, this is brilliant. The Anivia ice ball hits twice for shields, once during travel and once during detonation. It's a core concept for Anivia players to learn, hitting the ball right behind the champion in case of spell shields.
Yeah it's not a bug, it will explode at the end of its path, or the user can detonate it. So you can time it to pass through for one set of damage and apply a slow, then detonate it straight after to land the stun and another set of damage.
That's so annoying. =( I'm like, "A slow skillshot, something I can actually shield, so I'll just walk into it!"

What an infuriating game. I played as Shen. Garen kept calling me an idiot after he died for not helping him after he charged at 3-4 enemies by himself. I was going 9-1-10 (Garen 6-9-x) but couldn't really carry.
It also baffles me how many people reach lv 30 and don't even bother warding except MAYBE late game when it becomes obvious when the enemy would actually attempt baron. No wards on the jungle, river nor dragon even when the enemy starts with a stealth champ. I buy at least 10 wards per game.

I should had copy that chat in ranked champion select today, everyone was cooperative, picking champ for each other, discussing comp that I thought we were premade 5 or something.
As expected, I went 0/5 against morgana/soraka bot, feeding her a 17min ROA, meanwhile, Skarner and WW are arguing because of a few failed gang. Lux is just quiet sitting in mid playing with AP kogmaw.
Skarner and WW were yelling at each other for such long period, I don't even know how they do that while farming, ganging, in between fight and ult, etc. High keyboard APM.
And at bot, Trist were telling me how we should lose this cause I am being outclassed, which I agree so I didn't bother to make a respond, and then I accidently stole one of the kill when we were 4:12. That Trist was really good, getting almost all CD, timing explosion, baiting shield, dodging every Morg skillshot by thin hair. I do feel bad for that Skarner and WW, Olaf top, Morg shield bot, only target is AP Kog mid that farm with his ult 10 miles away.
It is a good thing Skarner and WW still arguing, so they don't even have time to yell at me, once in a while Skarner will try to change the subject of hate toward me:
Skarner: Hey how did bot die so often? (stupid question)
WW: CAUSE SKARNER YOU PIECE OF TRASH USELESS!
Skarner: *failed to change topic and back to flaming WW about who is trashier.*
Then finally the argument between Skarner and WW heat up so bad that Skarner said something very personal and insulting that only a reallife friend would know (PLOT TWIST).
WW ask, "WHO ARE YOU?", "ARE YOU NEO?".
Skarner: "I can't tell you, it will just ruin our friendship."
WW: *said a bunch of random names, presumably names of his real life friends that play LoL*
That is the moment of truth, WW and Skarner stop arguing cause they afraid of ruining a real life friendship. Trist ran out of insult cause I never response to anything he said, Lux still being lux and everyone start to do their thing and communicate only with attack/retreat ping.
We found them splitting up and won a team fight, then caught Morgana and soraka in the jungle doing blue. Had a close baron where everyone dancing around attacking baron while trying to avoid that op kogmaw ult. Everyone survived with super low health, back to base for heal, and enemy surrender. I don't even know how we managed to come back.
We found out Olaf d/c afterward HAHAHAHAHAA.
In the end lobby I typed "Well trist, there are no justice in ranked."
And I am climbing higher, and will get even more outclassed.

Get used to farming under your turret. It's not always like this but usually it's two turret hits and then you auto-attack on melee minions. Soften up caster minions with one or two strikes and then hit them again after a turret attack. If they have two in a lane all you need to do is survive and get decent farm to come out ahead.

If it is Ashe and Kayle, just try to stand within xp range, don't even try to last hit because you will be taking too much damage.
Hopefully you start with boot/3pot or armor/5pot, so you stay in lane with high health until you hit level 5.
Since they have to push to your tower, you can either wait for jungler to come in, or wait until you hit level 5. At level 5 you leveled your W enough that you can jump in for harass, and retreat autoattack minion for health back, and since you will have a level advantage, you can easily 1 vs 2 if you fight smart.

I had a game with a swain who got Atmas, PD, and other AD carry items.

After many gruesome GAF losses as usual, I got Kiunch to go Pantheon Leona with me again. Involved in 17/22 kills thanks to Leona's CC!
I think we're now 8 wins 1 loss doing that, though I messed up and didn't get first blood (killing graves right after he killed leona). Even better, all our lanes were doing well, and the only turret we lost was bot turret because both leona and I recalled at the same time and graves pushed it too quickly for us to get back.

People seem to do well in these situations by drawing pictures of LoL characters and sending them to Riot support.
I tried exactly that and was informed that policy (no longer?) allowed them to give out any such points.
