I'm on a nasty losing streak, but I can't possibly go into Ranked being only able to fill two roles.

So I had a few minutes to play some games, not enough time for a Dota 2 match. Figured I would fire up LoL for and play a Dominion match or something, and I'm greeted with:

I'm cool with a queue of like 5-10 min under rare circumstances but seriously, 2 hours? Are they offering free beer to everyone that can log in or something?

Building Frozen Heart and Thornmail is not a good investment. After around 100 armor, you start seeing some serious diminishing returns on your investments.
Since both give almost the same amount but Frozen Heart gives you FAR more utility, I would suggest only getting Thornmail in very specific situations and never both.

20% off of total attack speed is pretty nice.
It's basically
100 armor
- 30% returned as magic damage off of basic attacks.
99 (might as well be 100) armor
- 20% total attack speed reduction
- 500 Mana
- 20% Cooldown Reduction
Frozen heart makes a lot more sense imo. Unless you are against someone like Yi or Tryndamere who crit you to death and usually don't build defense or have over 30% lifesteal.

Well I do agree that FH/Randuin are almost always preferable than Thornmail. They had 3 AD autoattackers so I thought the Thornmail was justified. I would only really get Thornmail after getting FH/Randuin anyway.
Besides it's still not a bad reduction. Assuming Yi hits for 200, his damage goes from 74->54 per attack after adding Thorn to the FH. Love blowing up ADs with it. There was one time I went with a super tank Soraka build (Warmog, FH, Thorn, FoN, Rylai). Yi (yes another one) kept exploding whenever he tried to attack me since I end up with an extra 300 armor with the heal buff. He was dumb enough not to get LW.

11 games today, 8 wins. Fed like crazy in two matches with Fiora (12 deaths each); I just couldn't quite get the hang of her, when to attack, who can I beat, etc. I'm not sure I like her, so I think I may just go with good 'ol Jax.
I rocked with my buddies Malph and Lux, though, so at least I balanced it out there. I also discovered I hate Yorrick and his fucking spammy ghosts. Grrrrrr.....

How many patches have you been using it for? One thing that worries me about most mods is that they seem to break something whenever a new patch is introduced.
If this transitions smoothly between patches, I might give it a shot.

But the thing is you were playing a damage dealing character. Taking up two slots for defensive items, especially of the same category, would not be preferable to a damage item that will allow you to kill their AD AA champs much, much faster.
Cool, they can buy roughly 2/3 of a skin (on sale.)
