You'd be stuck without a ranged AD unless orianna can do AD though.

I'd still play on that team as blitzcrank. Sounds funny.

Ugh why the fuck do people quit after they get ganked once. We're ten minutes into the game and our ad quits cause he got ganked once

Had a game with a level 1 mass invade that stole our blue. Our Jungler and AD Mid, for some bizarre reason, both decided to shit on the team for the rest of the game :|

Out of spite, I refused to vote yes to any surrender they started.

KS Sona is back

You weren't ks'ing me. You dove alistar and ashe for a final poke at tower. Considering my score and gold can't complain.

I converted Diablo 3 RMAH earnings to some RP and bought very few champs with it. I have quite a bit of RP saved up and getting to the point I can just grind IP for the champs I want so ... not much to spend RP on besides skins.

So ... eh.

Your type of case is obviously not what I meant. It's not like you can do anything else with the RP if you already have it... I mean the people who actually buy rp TO buy skins. Using money to buy completely useless cosmetic items in a fictional environment is pretty much the dictionary definition of failing at life, imo.

I supported the game too with some RP purchases... but I bought usefull things. Not ficticious glamour items. Am I seriously getting flack for hating on this particular subject?

Yes

to say you fail at life because you buy cosmetic items is

well you fail at life

Fictional cosmetic items? Yep, that's failing at life in it's purest form, tbh.

And to those who say it doesn't affect me, I say otherwise, it's an exacerbated extreme which is part of a culture with such vain spending habits that it pretty much landed us on this economical climate. This is how precious money is to people in our present society. It's sad. And depressing. And very worrying, frankly.

WTF? Seriously? Spending precious money is exactly what the economy needs, it's people hoarding that shit that's causing issues.

Yes because the thing you're complaining about is the best part of the free-to-play model, items that add pure aesthetic value. What you're advocating with your "useful items" argument' is paying to win, which should not be encouraged in any way.

People with money spend it on various forms of entertainment. It might be movies, or pretty pictures to hang on a wall, or going to a concert, and a lot of it can be pretty trivial or short-lived.

Yet people do it because they enjoy it, and can (hopefully) afford it with their money to spare. As a result they finance your free game, so just relax and enjoy.

I suspect solo queue people care about winning if you get a bonus tied to winning.

Am I the only person who buys champions with IP? :(
I have 20k IP saved up for champions :D
3k here, plant lady is about to come out for 6300, and virtually any champion I'm interested in or curious about is another 6300. I don't even have a third rune page because that'd be yet another 6300.
This is a PSA 7 PAGE RUNE PAGE BUNDLE IS THE BEST VALUE ITEM IN THE STORE if you ever bought RP to spend on stuff and you wanted rune pages, BUY THE BUNDLE
Templar Asassin is cute. Wish Dota2 clicked with me.
I loved TA, pity she wasn't a strong pick when I played.
I think it's funny. Most of you guys have trouble playing more than two champions though so I could see how it'd be hard.
Oh shiii...
This is funny and everything, but just in case you're being serious -- you seem to be criticizing people and objecting constantly in this thread, yet didn't you post earlier that you had a lower ELO than me (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=39431372&postcount=12660)? And I'm terrible compared to some other GAF people! I'm just barely over the starting ELO of 1200.

It just seems like you're being overly harsh for your record, considering I thought there were some people with decent ratings (1500+) who play regularly. Maybe some people have trouble with more than two champions, like me, but it just seems like a mean thing to say.
iiit. 1v1 in every lane obviously

You're getting flak for being incredibily closed minded, acting as if your opinion is absolute etc

Haly

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
Shadow Walk (Passive): While out of combat, Evelynn enters stealth causing her to be detectable only by nearby champions or true sight. Additionally, Evelynn rapidly regenerates Mana while stealthed.
Depending on the detection range this could either be very good or far worse than she is now.
Hate Spike: Evelynn fires a line of spikes through a nearby adversary, dealing magic damage to all enemies caught in their path.
Bleh.
Dark Frenzy:
Passive: Evelynn’s spell hits grant her a stacking Movement Speed buff.
Active: Evelynn breaks free from any slows affecting her and gains a massive Movement Speed boost for a short duration.
Champion kills and assists refresh Dark Frenzy's cooldown.
Oh look, it's a passive with an active steroid that refreshes on kill/assist. I have NEVER seen this before. It doesn't even do any damage wtf?
Ravage: Evelynn slashes her target twice, dealing magic damage with each strike and gaining a massive Attack Speed boost for a short duration thereafter.
First they take her stun, then they take her slow. What's next, taking away her damage as well?
Agony’s Embrace: Evelynn impales all enemies in a target area, dealing magic damage based on their maximum health and slowing them. She then gains a shield based on how many enemy champions she hit.
Yes, because this is what assassin characters need, AoE slows that grant them a shield. Oh and yet another ability that is percentage based, it's like Riot realizes there's an HP stacking problem but doesn't want to admit it.

Yeah evelyn with no cc is pretty laughable. I looked at her skill set at first and thought: Oh shit she might be an amazing jungler now!

But she can't do anything without red now. Probably going to be played as an aggressive counter jungler.

In my opinion, she seems to have turned into jungle shaco but with less jungle/map presence but with a better role in team fights.

So unless she has massive base damages or scalings, she is still going to be low tier.

Range is about 650-750 (outside Ryze's W range and outside Oracle's Elixir's detection range if I understood correctly).

It sounds like too much but I'll reserve judgement until I try it out on the PBE.

This disconnect may be coming from the fact that we have disposable income.

It's not about wether or not you can afford it... it's about the notion of value people place on absurdly meeningless and vain items.
WTF? Seriously? Spending precious money is exactly what the economy needs, it's people hoarding that shit that's causing issues.

No. Spending RESPONSIBLY is what stimulates the economy. Reckless spending stimulates fuck all but the further deepening of the credit hole we're in. (Which btw, is what's causing issues, the credit and debt model... i should know, spent 3 years getting hammered in the head with it at uni).

Yes because the thing you're complaining about is the best part of the free-to-play model, items that add pure aesthetic value. What you're advocating with your "useful items" argument' is paying to win, which should not be encouraged in any way.

Not "paying to win", the champions' tier levels are lateral, you can't purchase a better chance at winning, but you can purchase a different way to play, which, imo, has value. And yes, the F2P model, when sustained solely on aesthetics, I understand and endorse fully, to the extent that when DotA 2 comes out, I'll most likely be buying a skin or to to show my appreciation for the game. However, in this case, my problem is with people's priorities, as most skins cost the same as a new character.

It really isn't about the money, it's about the values inherent behind such a decision. Hell, I've spent small fortunes on free objects myself out of loyalty or just pure dumbness. When Radiohead's In Rainbows came out under the pay what you want model, I chose to reward their brave attitude and paid almost 100$ for it. My spending isn't any better than the one's I'm talking about. My real issue lies with the beliefs of the kind of people who purchase the skins.

You're getting flak for being incredibily closed minded, acting as if your opinion is absolute etc

What do you mean close minded? Or opinion?

It's an UNDENIABLE FACT that skins are useless and shallow. Now, the fact that I think the people who purchase them are stupid... yes, that is, obviously, an opinion. But you know what? Sue me for thinking people who spend their money irresponsibly are stupid. In the end I'm more right than wrong, aren't I? Deep down there's no denying it's an irresponsable (and expensive) way to waste your money, and the only reason I'm getting flaked is because people feel the need to justify their actions to others in order to prove their worth or something.

This disconnect may be coming from the fact that we have disposable income.

As a socialist, this saddens me, but at the same time I also partake in the mentality to which you refer. =/

In other news, a friend told me there have been some champions who were banned (as in removed permanently from the game). Is this true? If so, where do we go to make our voices heard regarding champions that we think should be banned in the future?

Need help deciding: Nurse or Red Moon Akali? (yeah whatever @ lol skins being an evidence of the decay of western civilization)

I like the Amumu part of Nurse Akali and the badassness of Red Moon Akali and I can't decide. In the actual in-game model Red Moon Akali also wins. But then again Nurse Akali is a nurse.

We can't be friends, Oxigen_Waste.

*looks at Jayce's alternate skin Avatar* ... we can, but I'll mock you sometimes. But obviously, it's all good. ^^

Someone's sad that their economics degree is going to waste.

That would be everybody who has one, lol. At this point economics is one stock crash away from being an organized religion... my degree isn't in economics, btw. International Affairs. But as you can imagine, 35% of that is economics.

And you obviously don't care, but hey, now you know. =D

Yeah I did some googling and came to the same conclusion, lol... =p Though it would be sweet to get rid of 1 or 2 particularly annoying and broken champs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Been messing around a bit and I'm having trouble deciding which is more tankey (can take more damage) when in final build... Rammus or Malphite? 'phite would seem like the obvious winner, but dat Rammus health makes me wonder...
