Yeah, I guess we have to wait and see, but it just sounds like the stealth will be virtually useless to me, and the loss of a normal slow really sucks. It'll be funny if after like 2 years of being bad they patch her and she becomes even worse.

On that note, I kind of hope she gets a new skin to go with these changes. Just seems fitting.
I don't know. Shyvana has no hard CC and functions pretty well as a jungler. I see Eve filling a similar role. Strong counter jungling and maybe a little better ganker just because of the surprise and burst. She's much more of an assassin than Shyvana. Probably has great clear times and that movement speed can be big.
Just conjecture though. I have no plans of trying her out in PBE or buying her as of now.
I doubt Eve will be *worse* as a jungler, just different. Her clear times now are atrocious - if this is improved with these changes, shes now basically a slightly slower Shyvanna with more powerful ganks. If she could provide her own CC, she would be such a powerful jungler since there would be no way to react to her (outside pink wards in the river). At least this way, better players know that when their lane opponent is going aggressive for no reason, evelyn is right behind them outside of vision.
What I'm picturing is Eve top roaming down mid and demolishing their face. Scary. Top lane could never know if shes gone or not.

Using money to buy a fictitious game and play the game for hours on end is a waste of time and money that could have been earned if you worked instead. It's not healthy either.
But in the end there are of people who love to play to games and also a ton who like to buy cosmetic skins. I don't see the harm in it. Everyone finds different amounts of utility with what they buy. Economics 101
Theorycrafting on it just seems she'll be ideally ganking when a lane goes to push in and she can rely on Exhaust or Phage procs to snare (assuming she doesn't pop her Ultimate) and use her massive Movespeed/Attack Speed boosts to keep pressure on.
Honestly doesn't seem that bad on paper. I mean, Shyvana has a rough gank but it's not like you don't have lane support for these moments. Eve will just deal with the same. It might even be better due to her being hidden until she's in "go" range.

Playing a game is equatable to reading a book or watching a movie, even if you're paying for it, it has it's value in the fact that it provides entertainment. You're getting something with intrinsic uncontestable value. Buying the skins slightly alters the aesthetic of the experience, but in the end improves nothing upon what really matters... ie, skins have no value as they are, by definition, futile, shallow and have no applicable use whatsoever.
But yes, in the end of course it doesn't matter, however, I think it serves as a pretty pertinent metaphor to the bloated extremisms of consumerism in western civilization.
Let us find solace in the fact that all of us share one same trait in our love of the game itself. Or most of it, at least.

Anyone else have this problem where the horrible looping client music refuses to stay off? I've had the music box in the settings unchecked since the beginning of time but now it's playing again. And it's really bad.
Skins on sale are anywhere from $2 to $3.70 not including bonus RP you get from the bigger RP purchases.
If you play a champion a lot, it is conceivable that you might enjoy seeing the different animations and effects of a new skin on that champion. Skin purchase adds to your enjoyment. Small amount of money well spent.
If you are very competitive and you know that a skin changes the animation of a champion in such a way that last hitting is easier (blood lord vladimir), then purchase of that skin would improve your game and your enjoyment.
Perhaps you just like collecting things related to a hobby you greatly enjoy. Baseball trading cards, sports memorabilia, celebrity autographs, etc.
Skin purchases DO support the company that made the game you enjoy so much. It's part of their revenue stream that keeps their employees gainfully employed and keeps Riot prosperous to continue development of the game.
I think it's hardly an UNDENIABLE fact that skins are useless and shallow.

Right. As a level 30 with pretty much every rune page and rune I could want earned via IP, buying a skin every few months is how I support this game I like and play a ton of. It doesn't hurt that I get some cool new art to stare at for a while.

ARAM finally arrived in our region. I rolled a Rammus in one game. I thought he was gonna suck since I hate playing him in lane, but man I racked so many assists. His ult is pretty deadly here.

I feel that my skin purchase are more useful and less shallow than say... my ipad purchase.
Anyway... jumping into a thread full of people who have bought skins and calling them all idiots, then acting surprised at getting flak for it is a lot more ridiculous than buying a skin with RP. Your opinion is not very valuable when you present it this way.
Skins increase enjoyment factor, and paying for entertainment is not new.
Are they useless from a gameplay perspective? Yes. Does that mean they are without worth? No. People get a kick out of standing out from the crowd, been true since our ancestors started wearing bone ornaments in their beard and in their hair. Or maybe they just like the looks of the thing.

Well, that's kind of the very definition of shallow. They're vanity items, no circling around that.
I do agree that skins are useless and shallow, but they increase my fun and I work to be able to get money to spend in the things that make me happy. The fact that these vanity items are virtual instead of physical (such as say, artwork to hang in your wall, a shirt or a paintjob for your car) matters very little, it's a mistake to take a jab at "skins" as if they were any different from any other vanity item you buy in your life. And if it's property you're worried about, then you're a bad socialist, dude
If you don't like Bunny, get Redeemed Riven. It's also very cool. I like the Bunny costume because it's sillyI would've just liked a less fanservice-y skin for her

amumu is such a great jungler. i might not even need to buy noc which means i can buy the new champ day one with IP if i want and still have left over for amumu (assuming i can play enough games in time)

He's very easy to counter jungle though, can't count the number of times I've seen a poor Amumu get ganked at his own reds by a Noc or Mundo.
