Shit. That sucks. I went through similar shit with the Helicarrier this summer. Took weeks to get it fixed. I just have terrible luck with Lego on their website but good luck in the stores.

I knew I should have just waited and purchased from shop @ home but I'm off work this week and thought hey, get it early and work on some sets now. I've been spoiled by Amazon and shop @ home.

Yeah, new minifigs are February 1st. There's a mystery 2-week VIP exclusive set launch the back half of February too.

Thanks for the confirmation.

As far as the mystery set... seems time for a UCS set, doesn't it?

(Last year we had the leaked 2015 plans, but now we are back to the unknown.)

Anyone has it? Does it feel it's worth the money? All the videos I've seen make the thing look incredible.

I haven't built it, so not sure how much my opinion counts. But I'll be honest, I was super excited about it until I saw it in person. Don't ask why, but it just didn't grab me. It didn't look right, somehow. Stubbier than I expected, and the micro figs were a bit of a waste.

Wish I could elaborate, but it was a feeling more than anything else. With most big sets, it's the opposite. For instance, seeing the Tumbler in person... that thing is a BEAST. Just blew me away. Plenty of sets are like that... but the Helicarrier left me cold.

Seems lìke it would look way better with the use of smooth plates along the surface to make it less stubby lol. Just my two cents

Oh, wow, sorry to read that.

It looks underwhelming when you see it in the store, but looks impressive at home.
I had the same initial reaction many others had after seeing it at the LEGO store. But eventually I bit, and had a blast building it.
It is much more impressive when being assembled at home and on a table.

It isn't as good as the UCS Star Wars stuff from this year, but still a damn fine set.
It didn't crack my personal top 10 of the year, but would be top 20.

EDIT: Link to my top 10 of 2015 if interested. It is now buried with the old thread.

You'd say that the UCS Slave 1 or UCS Tie fighter are cooler IYO than the Helicarrier?

Anyone here have Kylo's shuttle? After seeing some quick fixes for the wings, I'm thinking I'm ready to grab this set. It looks so awesomely-evil.

Which classic trilogy X-Wing set is closest in size/detail/style to the new Poe Dameron X-Wing? I want to get both and display them together.

I don't think there is any X-Wing available currently beside Poe's version. The other non-UCS X-Wing has been discontinued. (I think the UCS one is also discontinued but that one is gigantic).

I am surprise they are not doing the Blue Squad version of the new X-wing also.

I'm planning on waiting until the 2nd release of most of the awakens sets in hope they make them more accurate now that they have more source material.

My buddy has it and too be honest I wasn't blown away. Not like I am with Star Wars UCS kits.

So I regretted buying Poe's X-Wing because it was so similar to the last regular X-Wing and I didn't get much pleasure from building it. And yet:

I think I will just stash this one away and build it when I'm not working on a MOC. Right now building from instructions is just not fun in general.

I got this set for Christmas and was stoked. I haven't had time to build it yet. I just watched TFA for the second time yesterday and now I'm sad that the Lego version isn't black and the wings don't fold down to flight mode. What the hell Lego?!?!?

I watched Jang's video and he had to use a rare piece to swap out everything into black. I wouldn't have enough pieces to make the swap without spending a lot on Bricklink, so this set is an easy pass for me. I'm sure there will be a UCS version eventually.

TRU had everything today. Had some TRU credit to use so grabbed Maz's castle, the other two BvS sets I needed ( the batwing with Wonder Woman and the armored batman with bat signal), and two polybags: the tiger (finally) and a new City poly.

Tempted by the new SW constraction and Nexo stuff, but Jan 1 is fast approaching.

They didn't know. I have the artbook of tfa, and the wings are vertical in the first designs. And looks dark grey too.

It's the only tfa set i still really want, but it is so expensive...

I loved it. Fun multi-tiered build, fun mini builds, impressive on display and an instruction book that makes a loud noise when dropped on a table. Its a divisive set on here, the price doesnt help. I think if you are a Marvel fan you will get more enjoyment out of it and less regret if you are just wanting a large UCS set.

Have a wal-mart nearby?

Reports today are saying that Kylo's Shuttle is going for $89.99 at Wal-Mart B&M right now. Item ID #45059381. Look into it if it interests you. The poster on slickdeals posted their receipt which might help to price match.

It's still a hefty chunk of change though, but it's a great piece to have if you loved the movie (and I know many of us did)

And... if you are feeling up to it, you could follow in JANG's footsteps and mod the wings to be more movie-accurate. Would be a fun and fairly simple mod to do.

I have TFA Art Book, Cross Sections and Visual Dictionary books... all are well worth the money!

PAB wall in Nashville still had tons of the 1x2 SNOT bricks so loaded up again. They also had brown 2x2x2 slopes, which would be handy for trees. Snagged a ton of those and a ton of white 1x2 jumpers.

I knew I should have picked up Darth Revan when I had the chance earlier in the year. Price keeps on going up and the Canadian dollar does not help.

Looks like it's hovering in the $35 range on the low end right now... seeing lots of ebay listings that sold in the 30-40 range (when shipping is accounted for).

One heck of a valuable polybag!

It's funny, I don't think LEGO Star Wars sets have aged terribly well...
Why's that?

Personally, I have a soft spot for the older sets. No stickers, for one. And what feels like fewer custom pieces. Sure, there's not as much detailing, but they feel more... LEGO-y to me than the late-00s/early-10s sets...

(The TFA sets are an improvement in my eyes, though. I've actually got all three TFA ships waiting to build...)

No Walmarts on Belgium. :D Cheapest i saw was 105 euros. It might come further down in january, when discount month starts.

I won't mock it probably, and i don't have many spare pieces :) It is just such a cool ship, and I love to have a Kylo fig.

I think Jan is a PAB refresh. Every 4 months they are supposed to do a refresh of the PAM (Pick-A-Model) from PAB wall. Can't remember the last refresh, but so far it's been great for parts. Unfortunately I overbuy some parts such as the 1x1 round tile eyes. It is possible to have too many of a particular part. Negative of the PAM is it take 4 months for each refresh and the other bins tend not to refresh or have many interesting parts.

I just checked my local WM, it scanned in as $119.

So it looks like most of the bags are present, but someone pillaged the bag numbered 5 which I'm guessing held the minifigs. I'll have to do some sleuthing.

Looking at pics of the Resistance Troop transport i notice Ackbar holding a mug, just like in the a-wing set. Is this a running gag of sorts?

So it's time to select parts for the next LUGbulk. Now, what parts will I need hundreds of some time late next year? Tricky, this.

I must say though, the result of last year has been pretty good so far. I'm just about done with a biggish build that I never would have attempted just through bricklinking.

I appreciate the info. I'll have to check out the art book of TFA. I guess I'll forgive Lego. :)

the messed up thing about the constraction Kylo Ren is that I just got the Lego Club magazine yesterday and it came with a poster of the figure with a hood on... ~_~

Just picked up a Morro Dragon set on clearance at Walmart for 20 dollars off ($49 dollars) I have been waiting to get that one on sale. Wu's Dragon was also on clearance for 10 dollars off.

Edit: and yes, the design of Kylo's shuttle was revised after it was given to various toy manufacturers. The original design was pretty much what LEGO released.

Was at my local Walmart in Halifax,NS this evening and they have all Clearence toys at 50% off LAST marked price (according to a posted sign stating such on the end caps - I had to get the cashier to make the adjustment since it didn't scan at the new discounted price. If I wanted to push it, I would have been able to claim another $10 off based on Walmart being pay to The Scanning Code of Practice http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/01262.html).

I managed to snag the last 2 clearence lego sets left in the store; 2 of X-Men v. The Sentinel 76022, marked down to $25, bought for $12.50 each!

*and after looking at both boxes, one was marked at $50 and the other was $25, so I think someone screwed up and marked the new 50% off price on the one box, neglecting what the posted sign stated.

Bollocks. I'm definitely going to try and fashion a custom hood. He just doesn't look right without it.

CONGRATS! Enjoy the build.

Got my new Lego catalog. They are pushing Nexo Knights, hard. I realized I couldn't make a big Jan. 1st order because I forgot with the new year comes my deductible phase with my insurance and with physical therapy, multiple dr. appts i'm not going to have the extra money. I think i'm going to try and save extra money to get the Ghostbusters HQ in Feb. if there is double VIP and pick up the couple Nexo Knights sets I want through amazon deals.

Aaaaaaannnnd ugh. The couple sets I was looking at are store exclusives so no Amazon deals. ghostmind the crusher of plans.
