Any ideas on where I can secure the ant-man set outside of paying double for it? 40$ for a 150 pieceish set is pretty insane.

Great! I can get Flama and Axl as separate figures and not have to get any other sets unless they look really interesting. With my Infernox set on the way I have the rest of the main crew already.
Don't you dare get my hopes up high like that! OMG, a Lego KITT would be a dream come true.
That teminds me that I need to pick that set up. It looks like this year Spidey's rogues gallery will be significantly fleshed out. I need to ensure Rhino and Sandman are in my collection!
Edit: I kind of like the brick built Rhino!
And just think of the extra money they could make off of you by making a K.A.R.R. alternate.
Ewww...That was one case where I couldn't replace my Chinese version with the official Lego version when it finally came out. I still need to get that set too though for the Sandman and Iron Spidey figs.
So after probably 12-15 years of not building a LEGO set (I'm 29 right now), I'm getting Poe's X-Wing in the mail later in the week! Pretty excited to get back into building a set and my wallet is already crying (as is my wife) as I look at the TIE Fighter and Millenium Falcon longingly...
Cool to see a big LEGO community thread, though! I'll definitely be checking in here and there.

It's really dumb on my part, but it really bothers me that people keep calling the colors light/dark bluish grey, or bley. The old greys do not exist anymore, therefore the new greys should just be called light/dark grey.
I appreciate these leaks, but I think its making it harder to wait for pics.

The bluish part is unnecessary as well, should've just been old and new greys when the switch was made.
You're not being dumb. That actually makes a lot of sense. It's legacy from the transition to current grey and propagated by many AFOLs including myself. It'll be easy for me to switch just like switching from English measurement system to the metric system.
Fuck yeahAnd we should be getting pics for the non-licensed sets within the next 24 hours.
Welcome to ABS Anonymous. If you are trying to maintain a sensible budget, you may want to stay away from this thread. Just sayin'.
Welcome!
This is a surprisingly fast moving OT with lots of news and updates. I would bet we're one of the most active (and friendly) communities in the OT forum.
I've been lurking here for a while in kind of the same situation, except in my case I think it's been 22 years. Reading this thread gets you every bit as hyped as anything over on the gaming side So far I've picked up the Holiday Toy Shop and a couple of the DC Super Heroes sets. I'm afraid to get started on Star Wars, I don't have room for all that stuff.
I thought something was wrong with my eyes when I first heard bley. I know what blue grey is but for LEGO i see dark and light grey. It's really dumb on my part, but it really bothers me that people keep calling the colors light/dark bluish grey, or bley. Contact LEGO customer service online. They'll mail you the new neck.Damn it. The WALL-E that someone returned was a 1.0 with the bad neck
I know.Contact LEGO customer service online. They'll mail you the new neck.
I just filled out their online customer service form asking for the fix and they mailed it out to meI know.
Is online CS better than a phone call?

Looking at the form, I just picked "email us" and under that, replacement partswould i select missing piece or broken piece?

and what are the odds service will be quicker versus just getting the missing pieces from Bricks & Pieces directly? i'm about to put my order in
I filled out the request for the Wall-E neck fix and I got an auto-reply that it was back ordered and it would eventually be shipped to me. This was on 12/24. They said it was back ordered until the 18ish of January. On the 21st of this month I got an email saying it shipped out, and I just got the package. So about a month leeway. Not a big deal, not really losing sleep over it but it was free and very very convenient. Hope that helps!
Remember these from earlier? They're .75 now at my Target.
So I caved and bought up a Mos Eisley Cantina and I'm so glad I did it's such a great set! I love how you can fold it up, how the the band area and sitting area can be pushed out from the inside, the bar is really cool, Dewback is huge and awesome! The minifigs are all fantastic especially the sandtrooper. I used to have the 7110-1: Landspeeder when I was growing up so building the superior one with this set was both nostalgic and cool to see how things have improved over the years.
All in all it was a lot of fun building this set. I'd like some more Star Wars sets that aren't vehicles. Shame my return to Lego wasn't when Jabba's palace released.
Need to buy a sand baseplate for the cantina and try to get some more minifigs to fill it out. Could really do with a someone to tend the bar.

Never had em at Target here. Wish we did. I would get ten or so at that price.Remember these from earlier? They're .75 now at my Target.
I'd buy all of them just for the black A-frame pieces. Those are useful.Remember these from earlier? They're .75 now at my Target.
Depends on manager. They will have some extra to dole out. I've seen people beg for preorder bonuses in line before, sometimes they will do it but there might be a catch. For example in one instance the manager gave one after the person agreed to preorder another game right then and there as a compromise.Welp, forgot to preorder the marvel game for that Iron Man, you guys think they'll get extras in the store or will eBay by the way to go?

If it's still available to you at close to MSRP, buy a second one.
Not sure if this is the one I saw before, but here is an example of two combined.

Here's a different one.
