I had the ps5 and now the Pro. It feels like it's only now, that the interesting games are starting to slowly come out.

The PS6 launching in 2027 ? Come on, that's pure sci-fi at this point. I'm not even wasting RAM on deciding whether to get it or not; we'll probably get Half-Life 3 first.

Yes, new tech is always welcome.

No need to continue using 7 year old tech, even if the games are cross gen.

Yes, day 1. Same as with all major console releases.

That said, I really don't think we need a PS6 before 2028 or 2029 at the earliest.

Depends on the games, obviously.

But considering it will launch with a Bloodborne sequel and GTA VI enhanded edition I'm there day 1.

Not on day one, unless there's a game I'm really interested in that won't be released on PS5.

Currently, I'm more interested in their handheld console (if the rumors are true).

If they keep focusing on live services no.

This generation has been an absolute disaster for Sony. Nothing but bad news and bad decisions.

I will buy their console again if they go back to make great single player games without woke shit

Depends if its guaranteed 60fps / 2160p minimum and not all this performance / looks cop-out upscaling shit still.

Yep. I buy every new console. I'll even buy whatever Microsoft puts out next.

Depends if it comes before or after next xbox.

Whichever comes first I will buy that.

Not getting 2 systems for sure. One is more than enough.

That would mean we got a PS5 without a Naughty Dog release. Without a God of War release. Without a game from Bend. When looked back on Spider-Man 2 would be the crown jewel first party release unless Wolverine somehow isn't the lolercoaster we saw in the leaks. Hell for my money, the meat of what GAF at large was hyped for before launch hasn't even been formally announced yet. It's a console valued entirely for the games we're all sure will eventually be announced and released on. Really a wild gen when you think about it.

I will not buy another console before 2030 at least.. only bloodborne remake would make me change my mind ... everything can wait

Of course. I've invested too much into my PlayStation library to just throw it away. I'm all in.

Nope. Gonna have to see the games before I buy the hardware. No buying expensive hardware with a corpo promise that "teh gamez are coming, I tells ya".

I see no point anymore. Vast majority of Sony's releases have been very much underwhelming. And there is nothing I am looking forward to on their roster.

Maybe eventual Astrobot 2 and GT8, but that won't make me hurry up and get a PS6. Plus most games will come to PC anyways. I am going to keep my PS5 for PS4/PS5 libraries (same for XSX), but I see no point anymore in getting a new Sony console.

So I am going to stick to PC and eventually Switch 2 (will wait for OLED refresh) unless Sony manages to surprise somehow. I don't see that happening under their current management.

Context is important, need to know what it offers and what games would justify purchasing it at launch and if the price is justifiable too.
No one can answer those questions yet so no one should be able to answer.
If we're going off just the PS5 goodwill alone though?
season 4 no GIF

Depends on the RTX60s and if ive already got one by launch of the PS6 XboxNext then ill probably glide the generation the same way I have this one.
Hopefully also by then Intel will have figured out their processes and we have a good CPU to buy in 2027.

Sony is committed to staying "conservative" with their PC ports so im in.
