The parade was great, we initially had a great view of it but some folks told us to get off the plants I really didn't expect that much drinking and drugs to happen, people use the parade as an excuse to just get shitfaced. The floats were spaced out a fair bit which was annoying and it was hard to see the people walking because of the crowd. It was a fun time and quite surreal.

Was supposed to leave for Cyprus with my bf and some of his friends today, the local administration gave me the wrong document to leave (I lost my ID card and I couldn't get one on time and they told me the paper they gave me would work...) and I got stuck at the boarding gate, watching the plane leave. I don't think I ever cried so much in years.

Might be able to get a new ticket and a new ID card tomorrow, I really hope so because this was supposed to be my first trip with the bf... I don't think I can last a week without seeing him knowing that I could have been there, I'm a fucking wreck right now

Just back from NYC Pride. Walked in the parade with the gay volleyball and it was so much fun!
Afterwards we had late lunch/early dinner and tried to get some more drinks but bars are a mess during Pride so I just went home. I have time to be gay and drink most days of the year anyway!

My brother is visiting me and walked with me in the parade. It was his very first activity in NYC, and I think he liked it!

Well I was there in time but getting an express ID or passport on a sunday is pretty much impossible and the plane was close to leaving by the time I was told I wouldn't be able to board. There's a few plane leaving tomorrow but prices are insane :/

Not really.
It was like any other sunday, with not much fun things to do. Didn't feel like doing much either, it is a lazy day. I wanted to go to the cinema but unfortunately my little sister wasn't behaving well, so instead we just went around some stores. Everyone bought something...except me lol.

Also I got tired of my 3DS. Those damn triggers are not working well. I tried everything. I just give up. Fuck the new pokemon games, I think I'm going to sell this piece of shit that doesn't let me play mario kart 7 and kid icarus uprising. It's a shame because I love the games and it was a Zelda special edition, but I can't continue with
those failing triggers. Ugh, so much things I was looking forward on this console but it got me mad right now.

Imagine that, same here. We were on the west side of Halsted and we initially had a a great view but security sucked. And yeah, even though it was my first time there were more walkers than I'd imagine.

I quit at the end of season 2 for the same reason and I just finished Season 3 of Downton and I'm about done with that show for how awful the writing got. At least Breaking Bad comes back in August

I didn't know those pride parades happened the same day on different places I googled around and it seems like my city has had pride parades - they look just as fun as lively as any other even in Toluca. Crappiest city on Earth indeed If I ever go to one I'd go to Mexico City which is 45 minutes from here (and happens to be my birthplace anyway, screw Toluca >). That being said I don't enjoy parades of any kind and I doubt any of my friends would like to go with me, so yeah.

Just wanted to give a little update about my crazy "love life".

I have been talking with the last guy. So far I really like him but I'm very wary of this situation. We kinda had a discussion about "us". He says he "wants to make this work". I told him that I just find it very (unnecessarily) complicated. He keeps on telling me that he wants to come back ASAP while I try to keep his feet on the ground (and mine as well).

I'm really flattered he wants to come back to town mostly to spend time with me but it bothers me because he'll end up leaving again anyway. Sure, we talk everyday and have also skyped a couple of times but at the end of the day I'm alone at my house when I'd rather be spending time with the person I'm "dating".

When we talked about "us" we sort of got to "it's okay, we're just getting to know each other, let's not get ahead of ourselves". He also told me I could let him know if I eventually wanted out of this or something along those lines.

Which brings me to another concern. I'm worried if we keep of going ahead with this, eventually someone else will show interest in me, someone who is not in another town and things could get really messy from there.

I'd appreciate any advice about how to handle this situation. As I said, I'm really liking this guy but I'm not sure if this is for me.

It's life giving you more time to work on your career or something. Also you might want to be more specific. How has it not been the same? It really wouldn't surprise me if it was the antidepressants or just the depression itself. Been there.
