Androgynous people are hot. This is a fact.
Mmmmmm androgyny! So good.

Gotta say, never heard anyone call bisexuality trans-phobic. I can see where it comes from, but that doesn't make any sense. Being straight doesn't automatically make you homophobic. You're not obligated to be attracted to everyone, and labels are shit, so just like what you like, and if you want to label yourself, don't let other people decide what you are, you decide.
Where do I sign up for your newsletter.

I can't speak for everyone ofc, but I'd assume that bisexual people are likely to have far less of a problem with androgynous or trans people than others, given that they (can) find both conventionally "masculine" and conventionally "feminine" features attractive. So smudging the two together or mixing and matching - both are interesting, and even intriguing and fun.

At least, that's how I feel, so maybe I shan't project too much onto others. :p

I think that's often true, probably more of the right notes are hit that way. Though I also know bi people with narrower preferences than most (like just really masculine men, really feminine women, etc), so I could see it sometimes having the opposite effect too, maybe they already have a wider selection so they don't really feel the need to broaden their horizons more, or something I probably shouldn't be speculating about this because I have no clue.

On a kind of unrelated note I like a good dose of gender-fuckery in the personalities I'm attracted to, but I think that's because I'm more or less 'gender-queer' so more fluidity in that area is more dynamic.

I'm sort of the opposite. I don't think androgyny is unattractive, but I almost always prefer girlie girls or more masculine men. I'm speaking generally in appearance though.

Androgyny is probably my biggest turn off, although I do like it in certain ways aesthetically, but it is for me the most asexual a person can be, it kills of my interest completely. Weirdly enough, voluptuous girls do not do that, even though I also have no sexual desires for them. Attraction is so weird and arbitrary.

I can only chime in for me, but that probably rings true for my tastes. Some of the most attractive types of people can be androgynous to high hell, it just pushes a lot of my buttons simultaneously. That fellah that Cheez posted, for instance ~v~

I'm with you.

You too. It's not that I find androgyny ugly, it's just kind of weird. Or odd. Hm... fascinating might be a better descriptor. It's interesting to look at, like a sculpture, but I don't really feel anything stoked by it. So who knows?

But I like either genders for different reasons and blending them together doesn't emphasis what I like but kind of just blurs and smudges it all together.

This is pretty much how I feel for the most part. I am typically not very attracted to men that look like that, and if I HAD to go straight for somebody, it wouldn't be the androgynous women either. With that said, I have to say I'm sometimes a little "impressed" by how androgynous and down the middle someone can be.

Will drop pants for Sony.
Gay movie? Really?

The lesbian segment was pretty touching. :p

That part of the film always gets to me. So afraid of something like that happening in real life. I wanted to cry when they tossed her body in the mass grave.

my bf gave me my bday present!

the card he made for me!

my precious!

and one more plush for my collection!

Happy Birthday you lucky bastard. A boyfriend and presents. You lucked out.

Even when I don't have it, I don't think anyone has every considered me androgynous in the slightest. But, the grass is always greener on the other side. Plenty of guys have told me they wished they were more stereotypically masculine, everything is awesome and nobody is happy, right?

See I don't get this. I guess it's because when I say that I like men, I mean men in the traditional sense of the word. That person looks more like a girl, which is a boner killer for me.

I am told that bisexual is a trans-phobic label

what

Are you implying that trans is a third gender? Transpeople are the gender they identify as.

Hey, social justice types can be good. And gender roles do kind of suck. Straight allies are very much welcome and needed. And I'd rather take an overzealous pro-LGBT straight person over a self hating homophobic gay friend anyday.

And as least social justice types are trying to affect society instead of only trying to change fictional video game worlds and drowning themselves in escapism. Also, when you see something wrong with society, it is easy to want to identify with and be a part of something that is different that you feel can counteract it. So I empathize with those feelings.

I would normally be wholly against this sort of statement, if I didn't realize a little bit where you're coming from, though. Having browsed a lot of Tumblr lately, there's a lot of "check your privilege" types that go way too far and sound really condescending.

Indeed many of those people saying "check your privilege", they're playing oppression Olympics like you said. And there's a bizarre and annoying sense of othering. Not to mention loads of condescension. A lot of these people, of course, being straight, white, heterosexual, and male.

Or maybe you don't agree at all, since what you're going off against are possibly not the same as the types I'm criticizing.

I never said (or implied) that gender roles in society didn't suck, nor did I say I didn't want straight allies. Of course I want straight allies. My point is that these tumblr 'social justice warrior' types -- the same people you're talking about -- are attempting to hijack the LGBT movement with their own perceived oppression.

I should create a tally of how many times I hear people try and use gay/homosexual in a negative way at school on a daily basis.
(Oh Australia. .__.)

Wait.

Women who identify as lesbian but date men.

Men who identify as gay but date women.

...this is a thing?

I've heard of it before. It isn't really that hard to understand if you maybe consider that they found the rare exception to the rule, it being so rare that 'bi' isn't a very good label either and so there really isn't an appropriate label to adopt at all (homo-flexible? idk). This is the first time I've heard of someone be offended by an innocent question about it, though.

I have a new found love of tumblr after someone gave me some hot ones. Anyone else got some hot men ones they can link? You can PM if it's one of them porno ones.

Have you tried typing the following keywords into the search?

Sean Cody
Corbin Fisher
Randy Blue

Then save the search by hitting the 'tracking' button. Just by doing that, you should get a sizeable amount of bloggers who you can then follow or otherwise, you can just follow the tracker you just saved.

EDIT: Even just typing "MEN" should give you a rather good selection of men pics and bloggers.

Are these mostly gay though? I prefer just lone naked dudes.

The keywords I gave you are mostly gay. If you just want naked men, "MEN" should give you just naked dudes instead of naked dudes...fucking. LOL

Or y'know, just type "naked men". You'll be surprised at what tumblr search can show you if you go deeper.

It'll be a lot easier if you know the name of a model you want to follow though. Unforch, I'm not that familiar with male models who don't do porn. If you want, you can go to ONTD (Oh No They Didn't) and search some male model names they often post there and then put the name through search.

That's sort of my view of it. I mean, if people want to label themselves something really niche and extreme, all the power to them. But I wouldn't expect the average individual to have a working knowledge of some of the crazy specificities. I mean, I can't even keep all the labels straight and I'm living in this community.

Gay/Straight/Bi work just well enough for me.

I think what gets me is the people that get really upset about the labels though. I know I was pretty touchy about them before but as I get more comfortable with myself I find my attachment to the labels slipping. I'm not very bothered when I'm called gay even though I don't identify as it myself, personally.

I've had some negative responses to my identifying as bi-sexual in the past. It seems like there's a stereotype that people who say that are usually just doing it for the attention or something. I've even had someone (who also identified as bi) correct me, saying I was 'probably just bi-curious'. Pan sexual not only gives a broader sexual range than bi does, but also distances one from the 'college girl faze' that people for some reason tend to associate with bi-sexual. It probably more accurately describes me anyway. I prefer not to bring it up unless asked though, I'm not a big fan of labels. I like who I like, and that's all.

Okay thanks. I usually just don't straight up search if some people already have gems they found they can provide.

Damn right.

Labeling is such a weird, hypocritically awful thing in this community. I remember a few years ago, my friends and I were casually discussing bisexuality and another (gay) friend immediately reacted defensively saying the usual "sorry, I just don't buy it, pick one, it's selfish!" (lololol my favourite of the idiotic response variety)

Whaaaat. How is it selfish?

On the topic of labels, I never really considered them until people started trying to apply them to me.

Not Porn Stars is my favorite tumblr for eye candy. (Hopefully linking that is okay? It's mostly just shirtless dudes, maybe an ass once in awhile.)

There are some very nice looking men there. There are also some great sixpacks attached to such douchbaggy faces I don't think I could ever find them attractive :(
