I'm not sure which phone I should keep
I can re-sell the iPhone for more than what I paid for it, but I'm starting to really enjoy the form factor. But after using it, I'm pretty sure I prefer Android quite a lot over iOS That's not to say iOS is bad or unusable or anything (and maybe it just needs time to grow on me), it's just not Android-good. I wish I could afford keeping both and a Lumia, lol.It's among one of my more memorable experiences.

I know I'm going to get a lot of "cranky old man" replies but I miss when phones were, you know, phones. Do I really need a camera and access to the internet and all these other gimmicks just so they can raise the price on these damn things?

Isn't that why laptops were invented? Besides, the point of going out is to leave the computer at home. All the things I do with my comp (especially certain things *wink wink*) are things that are better being done in the comfort and privacy of my home.
Sorry just not going to budge on this. I'm set in my ways on this subject

Being able to research things is great. Information, knowledge. It's like how people were suckers for having to go to the library before the internet, but in your pocket.
I always thought russian men would be like the ideal "bear" type, but after knowing about the country and it's people more, mostly through my russian friend, it is unfortunately not that true. Not that there aren't "bears", there are of course, but the common russian type is a very tall, lean, blond guy, without much hair, which is like not my type at all, except for the height

It -is- useful having access to internet wherever you are, not only for entertainment, really. Information, maps, news, etc. - I personally enjoy it a lot.Henchmen21

I actually use it for getting info a lot. I deleted facebook so the only social thing I use it for is texting. And I don't use my phone for porn, cat videos would be the closest equivalent in terms of mindless entertainment.
And this is true. I don't even read the news though really, but the internet is great for researching like any topic and I have a lot of interests. It's often that you'll have a thought like "what does synecdoche mean again?" and you can just look it up before you forget the thought.
Random Heroes. It's actually okay, and I'm rather critical of phone games as a handheld lover

I would not have survived my transition from rural NY to Seattle without a smartphone. Maps, gps/navigation, transit apps and schedules, school info/registration/class updates, and so on. Having all of it and plenty of other legitimately useful things in your pocket at all times is a lifesaver.
Smartphones don't offer anything new, what they really offer is accessibility to a lot of stuff you usually didn't have that readily available at the palm of your hand, so you can have a perfectly happy day to day without them, but unfortunately once you get one, there is no going back, it seriously is a life style change.
Keep up the good fight, you'll be assimilated eventually anyway, I was
