Gays I might die today, I asked for two extra shots of espresso and extra syrup and they gave me four shots instead. This drink is equivalent to three in one. I need to make a will now right?
I'm all about the face tbh it's almost the only thing I look @ (and height). If someone has an attractive, gorgeous face but an average body, I'll still think they are super hot.
Average or ugly face with a 6 pack abs/ripped body though = still nothing, like nothing at all.

Mmhm. I'm the same way. It's not that I have no preferences when it comes to body type, but face is most important. I don't know how I feel about height. In the abstract, I prefer someone taller than me; in practice I can't think of a time where I found someone attractive but felt somehow dissatisfied by their height, however tall they actually were.
I'm a nose person. A good nose is paramount to me liking someone. Facial structure, hair and eyes after that. Unusually colored eyes are fantastic.
Body comes after that of course.

Wait, photoshopping out body hair? That's almost criminal.
Even aside from those kinds of alterations not fitting my aesthetic preference, it's regrettable how much of an effect is has on our opinions of our bodies - aren't eating disorders and similar phenomena disproportionately higher in gay/bisexual men compared to the general male population?
Yeah photoshopping out body hair is pretty standard these days, which is why some people were really happy about those photos of Nick Jonas' back bush - me being one of them. That article can explain it better than I can without turning this post into an even larger wall of text. Ever notice how in a professional porn video, you see hairy legs and tummies etc, but in the promo photos they're smoother and without blemishes?
I do think that there could be more pressure on queer men to fit these ideals with negative effects on self image - in line with the experience of straight/bi women.
But it also just makes my Tumblr feed so boring. All white and no hair makes Jack(ing) a dull boy.
It's fucking stupid, yes. They're just mammary glands. Not sexual organs. If they were, it'd be largely inappropriate, but they're not. So, because men have what are technically failed mammary glands, they're safe? Yeah, not buying it. Both should be accepted.
I used to get a kick by explaining to the boys in my secondary school why they had nipples - that we all start out female and then the Y chromosome kicks in. "So really we're failed females!" I'd say. XD
Breasts are secondary sexual characteristics, so I wouldn't agree that they're not inherently sexual, but first and foremost they're mammary glands and women should be able to go shirtless and breastfeed in peace without being told to cover up. It's disappointing to me how much we're taught to be ashamed of our bodies and to cover them up.

I can't stand the photoshopping body hair out or when you can clearly tell a guy shaved for a photoshoot. Looks odd to me. I loved Nick Jonas' photos because he kept everything natural, which in an interview, he stated he doesn't shave. <3
I prefer Summer, I don't like to wear all these heavy clothes and the long jeans, I rather feel the wind and the sun tbh. Not that I mind the cold, it's just that it's not my favourite style of clothing. :/

I guess I'd be similar, with even fewer preferences for height. Maybe my subconscious reason for prioritising it is that physical fitness and aesthetic cultivation of muscle mass and definition can reasonably occur at any point given sufficient effort and no prohibitive health conditions, whereas facial structure is essentially permanent.
Which means my dating pool is restricted to people with severe prosopagnosia...

The article's focus on possibility models also brings up another concern of mine which is connected to the current paradigm of male attractiveness, particularly gay male attractiveness - how overwhelmingly white it is, even compared to the beauty standards of the culture at large. As a kid, I honestly thought I my lack of circumcision was a deformity based on the overwhelmingly white Americans who constitute the most visible percentage of porn models, and reconciling my amount of body hair with the predominantly shaved / waxed ideal was also difficult. It was almost entirely subconscious, but having my only frame of reference for queerness and acceptable objects of desire thereof conform to such a restrictive standard did end up having an alienating, othering effect. And the standard hasn't really gotten any more diverse at all - the mainstream media's shorthand for any docile non-straight person is still the middle-class white American gay male. Though that's only relating to its reflection in media - the broader topic of racism among gay men could fill many more walls of text than would be accepted here.

Fall and Winter are pretty close in my book, but Winter has Christmas, New Year's, and Mardi Gras - and a higher chance of snow.. so Winter barely wins. I also love nesting in frigid weather, so.. it works.
That, and my Winter wardrobe is much, much better.
Yes, I agree. Hot weather is great in small proportions but having it for the whole year (my case) is just unbearable. I'm loving these rainy days I've been having lately, cold weather is just too beautiful and relaxing.
You can't show your legs when it's freezing though, you can't get a tan or anything. A cold is the only thing you get if you are out too long in the Winter season.

Commuting to work is actually one of the reasons why summer sucks so much :x I'll take the cold weather, strong wind, winter clothes and hot beverages.
As an Atlanta resident here's how it breaks down for me.
Winter sucks. Too dark early and rainy and sleety and no snow. Winter is the godamned worst.
Summer sucks. Self explanatory.
Spring would be cool if not for the damn motherfreaking pollen. Seriously, fucking that shit.
Fall is the best. Cool and breezy and warm all at the same time.
Fall>>>>Spring>>>>>>>≥>>>>>>>>>Summer>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything>>>>>>>>>Winter

Yep, I like my legs. =)
Aw, that's a shame. *Sending you hugs and good vibes*

Yes! And I say this as a pale ass white Irish guy.
As a community that apparently celebrates diversity, I have found that the gay subculture can be just as racist, shaming and bigoted as any other community BUT I do think in general my gay friends are all more educated on social issues having had to deal with such issues themselves, and thus are more accepting. There are ignorant people in all communities.
I find all kinds of men attractive, let me be clear that I'm not hating on white, cut or hairless gay guys - my issue like you is with the fact that this 'ideal' is perpetuated everywhere and it's interesting to me to confront that and subject it to scrutiny.
My partner is mixed race and he has helped to educate me further on this subject. We have discussed how stupid and offensive it is that so much gay porn with black or mixed race guys in it is framed as 'thug porn'. Of the big masculine black man showing it to the 'white faggot'. Black men are fetishised for having larger dicks on average - it's next to impossible to find a picture of an average looking black man on Tumblr, but an average looking white guy is easy to find.
Finding a picture of an uncut flaccid black guy on Tumblr is like gold dust XD
Gay friends have shown me advertisements for underwear that feature 'hot guys' and when I watched them all the guys looked the same - white, mid-20's-30's, muscular but not too built, hairless body with short or spiky fair hair gyrating to shit dance music. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure in person I would be drooling over any one of these models (with a cute face ) but when you're presented with such a blatant display of how homogenised some ideals of attraction are, I can't help but yawn. Of three videos I was shown, one video had a token black guy who got barely any screen time.
And I agree dude, don't even get me started on casual racism among gay men. Fucking lmao at some of these bitches.
Leg day is the best. I lost a lot of weight, 40 pounds to be specific, and my legs got super skinny and small. Now I'm trying to make them bigger by incorporating leg day at least three times a week. I'm a few weeks in and I'm starting to feel the results. You can't go wrong with leg day.

Summer can be quite nice, yeah. Perfect for drinking on a boat and doing dumb shit on a beach, like I do with friends each year, ha. Fall is really my season, though. Cool, temperate weather with a wide variety of colors. I have a picture in my head of walking hand in hand with someone as the leaves fall above us along a desolate lane, ha. I guess fall is just a season that always feels right.

So true. Squatting is one of the best exercises you can do, and it helps your butt to grow too! I split the seams on some of my favourite pairs of trousers thanks to the power of leg day. XD

This pale-ass white Irish guy agrees pretty much completely.
Ideas and pre-conceptions are generally pretty baseless Everyone agrees, but few actually follow through with it when it comes to homosexual stereotypes... People are so... Disappointing.

The stereotype of black men having big penises is so odd and kind of disturbing. Not only is it not true (like if anyone should care, really), it objectifies black men in a pretty bad way. Not to mention plenty of black men with normal sized penis probably feel an extra pressure or disappointment. It's overal just a terrible thing.
