Even aside from those kinds of alterations not fitting my aesthetic preference, it's regrettable how much of an effect is has on our opinions of our bodies - aren't eating disorders and similar phenomena disproportionately higher in gay/bisexual men compared to the general male population?



It's a symptom of a society which stigmatises and sexualises the female body as a result of its past treatment as property and as a measure of control, so I guess any inverted society would be one in which men's civil liberties were historically nonexistent. Though as a plus, I guess male sexualisation would be more mainstream; though at the price of ridiculous beauty standards, industries dedicated to profiting from an institutionalised lack of self-esteem and probably the inability to vote.

As an example, the fact that so much was made of the Calvin Klein underwear ad during a recent Superbowl, when ladies underwear ads are on TV every day. I subscribed to Crunchyroll again after seeing it is on Wii U now, saw there was a show called DRAMAtical Murder and remembered a game by this name was referenced in an earlier thread. So I'm watching this now.

...A Dragon Quest reference appears! The highlight of the episode.

The episode is over now. Does it get some substantial queer content since there were only the slightest implications in the first episode. Or does it get good?

Chelsea Handler left Instagram over it. She was annoyed at only shirtless men being allowed, especially when not everywhere in the world is so afraid of topless women being seen. I'd be hesitant to group it as a fetish, but I can certainly see it as the target of a fixation - for me, at least, while ribcages and spines evoke disgust, I don't mind prominent clavicles or sternocleidomastoid muscles.

If the Supreme Court decides to take up the case and in a few months actually rules in favor of same-sex marriage, would this deem marriage bans nationally unconstitutional forever (i.e. until another round of SC judges might revoke it again)?

(I'm not very savvy with American law and SCOTUS stuff)

I actually don't know, which kinda scares me.

My best guess is that if SCOTUS suddenly took a strong rightward tilt, nothing would shock me. If Texas, for example, were to pass a "don't recognize gay marriages" law , I wouldn't doubt for a second that the new SCOTUS would overturn the ruling in favor of same-sex marriage.

One thing we have on our side though is time. I hate to be so blunt, but as the older (read: more homophobic) voters die-off, the chances of this happening decrease. In another ten or twenty years, I'd say we're pretty safe.

I'm all about the face tbh it's almost the only thing I look @ (and height). If someone has an attractive, gorgeous face but an average body, I'll still think they are super hot.

Average or ugly face with a 6 pack abs/ripped body though = still nothing, like nothing at all.
