I hadn't listened to them properly in years but Linkin Park were one of the bands that pulled me into listening to rock and metal music when I was like 11/12 years old.

RIP

GAF ads are making me sad as hell.

RIP.

You helped me with my walks home from high school before I was able to drive back when I was in 10th grade when Hybrid Theory first came out. I had the pleasure of seeing you live before you got big back in a venue in NJ that is no longer open anymore.

Damn, RIP and condolences to everyone near him.

Truly a master of his vocal technique, and contrary to popular belief very few people can pull of his style of melodic screams. The last few festival shows he sang were some of the best in his career as well. I wish everyone with mental health issues could get the support and treatment they truly need without feeling ashamed about seeking it.

As much as I can't stand bad rock/metal music whatsoever, Linkin Park actually wrote amazing songs and had incredible production on the first two albums. I consider myself a huge fan of the old stuff at least.

Do you guys think the backlash for his new album played a role in this as well? He seemed very defensive and hurt by it.

I was thinking of seeing them again next month. This news really hurts.

He wasn't alone.
I don't remember much of Saw 3D, but I do remember Chester waking up with his bare back sewn into the leather seats of a car.

It's crazy how big Linkin Park was for many people, same boat for me. I really enjoyed their songs new and old on the radio and streaming. Depression and mental health is no laughing matter, it's important to get as much help as you need. I hope Chester's at peace and his family are able to come together, grieve in privacy and move forward.

Can't help but to think that Cornell's death may have edged him closer to doing the same. R.I.P. Chester, you'll be sorely missed.

Haven't listened to them in ages, but LP will always have a special place in my heart. The year 2000 when 11 years old, first came Infest by Papa Roach, some time later came Hybrid Theory. THese 2 albums played a big significant role in where my musical interests would eventually end up being. I still remember breaking into our school with our skateboards during the summer vacation and skating on the playground while Hybrid Theory was blasting through the radio. Such amazing memories, and this album plays a big role in that. For that I will always be grateful. Thank you for everything...

Fuuuuuuck out of nowhere christ

Hybrid Theory
Meteora
A Thousand Suns
Living Things
The Hunting Party

Are all fantastic albums...fuck I didn't like One More Light at all but I still respected the band and Chester has always been a damn good vocalist

Complete shock right now

I was clear through his career that Chester was in a lot of pain. I was unaware of its genesis until today. It's a tragedy to lose him. Rest in peace.

Wow man, wow. RIP. I was a huge fan of their first album when it came out. Even though I didn't follow them much recently this is super sad.

Fuck. RIP and condolences to the family.

His history with sexual abuse, alcohol and drugs is tragic. I'm very saddened by this.

As a abuse victim myself, I can say it never leaves you. You either learn to live with it or it eats you up inside until you can't take anymore.
