List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

No, that would be wrong.

If a game has a dynamic resolution and/or an unstable frame rate, then the extra power of the PS5 Pro will allow the resolution and/or unstable frame rate to reach their maximum more often or all the time.

It would not require any additional work from the studio.

Implementing PSSR ML to a game would require additional work from the studio.
I see, so the studio developers still has control. I just wish that they just let PSSR ML autonomously do its thing.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy should get PS5 Pro updated. The FPS was not all that stable and the IQ in 60fps mode took a hit.
Great game, needs to be updated.
Some of these games don’t need a patch they just need a boost from the base console which should be the case here. Also in this specific case the studio was sold to Embracer since the release just like Ghostwire: Tokyo’s developer Tango was picked up by Krafton. Some of these games will remain in limbo due to that. People calling for a Forspoken patch, hmph, they’re gone too now.

Support is mandatory in the manner that games must run on the pro but games are not forced to have pro enhancements (at least from my understanding)
There's a nuance, what's mandatory is native binary compatibility with the pro(ie. Built with sdk version above certain minimum). No bc modes for new games going forward.

And yes, that's exactly how it was for ps4pro as well.

Dragon Dogma 2 update

[PlayStation®5 Pro]

Modifications for the PlayStation®5 Pro
  • Adding PlayStation® Spectral Super Resolution to the Graphics section of the Options menu.
  • Adding "Balanced" as a selection under Graphics Quality in the Graphics section of the Options menu.

I cannot wait to see what this game looks like in person with PSSR turned on.

And while Digital Foundry isn't getting a review unit…

They'll be getting it soon - they've done a better job than Sony did in showcasing the Pro's capabilities. There's a reason Sony have been feeding them raw footage, they may not like each other but I imagine it's symbiotic. DF benefit with exclusive footage, and Sony benefit because DF do the marketing for them, especially for the enthusiast gamers.

Can someone explain how it works for these early review units, do they have to send them back after a certain amount of time, or do they have to pay RRP and just get them early, or are they totally free as long as they publish a review?

There Is something wrong with checkerboarding rendering on the base consoles. 4k checkerboarding should should look good but I am watching this guy playing Monster Huner Beta, and he is running 4k FSR balanced. The image quality and stability look so much better.

The Pro will use PSSR, so image quality and stability will look somewhere close to this guy pc. If so, the leap would be tremendous. I don't see reason why not.

Geez, he struggling with frame rates. Somewhere in the high 40 and low 50. Drop down to high 30 when fighting the lion looking boss.

He got 6090xt. Max graphical setting with lower shadow and AO does not help him. this is not looking good in term of performance.

Anyone knows where to buy the fucking disc unit in Europe, Italy specifically? I pre-ordered the Pro, but no way I'm buying the disc unit from scalpers.

I think we have more chance of buying rocking horse shit atm. Fortunately, I have a decent collection of digital games to see me through until the disk drives are readily available again. I think I have around 12 physical games, but most of them are in the PS+ catalogue now, like Demon’s Souls and Ratchet and Clank.
