List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

I played it on graphics mode or whatever it’s called and was fine with it not as sensitive about frame rate as some people but I’m really curious what the AI up scaling will do too: isn’t it applicable to any game without a capped frame rate? Is FFXVI such a game or is the graphics mode capped at 30 FPS?
It depends on lots of things, because the computing cost of PSSR is higher than the odd solution they used (FSR1?), and framerate in FF XVI is all over the place, as well as resolution.PSSR might not be optimized for this yet. I am hopeful, just not that much confident due to the lack of info on one of THE titles that need a proper patch. I believe it's coming though, since Sony helped Square Enix during development and that may be the case again.

Yeah it would be strange not to see this game getting a patch.

I believe games like this and Space Marine 2 for example aren't ready yet but are in the process of getting patch updates.

Do you think the new COD Black Ops will get the Pro treatment?

I was hoping for this as well, but there's nothing yet. They will probably want to make sure the game launch well, and after things settle down a bit a few months, 6 months from now, we may still see a Pro treatment yet.

im thinkin gt7, where the news? Will they rly rly drop a lackluster only RT patch?

What about the TAA on the 4K120 mode? What about better draw-distances? What about better car LOD for gameplay, both in cockpit view, and outside? What about VR2 90fps no reprojection?

PD do it do it

Now that i saw some of the writing from the new DA i need a new first Pro game :(

I might replay AW2 in performance mode with the pro update until the outlaws patch hits

Dragon Age look quite of soft in performance mode on the ps5. I am pretty sure it is a sub 1080p maybe around 800p. The fidelity look decent image clarity and sharpness wise. Graphics also appear better with RTAO and RT reflections.

I am guessing image and graphics wise the pro will look somewhat close to the base ps5 fidelity mode minus RT reflections, and the 30fps look somewhat close to pc 4k DLSS quality with better RT than the base ps5.

This kinda gamw is not that bad at 30fps. If they offer a 40fps and can minimize the hit to resolution and graphics, then it is prefer mode for many with 120h panel.

Polyphony might throw those in the patch notes but they never have been a developer to boast about minor improvements. (Although maybe more significant to us)

Outside of new modes (with RT), modes that expand on VRR and 120hz. I wouldn't expect them to share any news talking about better LOD, cars or track side details like some of the games lately getting enhancements.

We'll just have to wait n see unfortunately.

I'm absolutely certain, matter of a fact it should already be in right as all games after August need to support it?

You would think enhanced. 🤞

But from the wording from Sony. Enhanced and supported are very different

Support - runs on the pro (may include some sort of boost mode)
Enhanced - the pro works its magic on the game and adds to the game, above how it it runs on the ps5 (using the extra grunt and/pssr)

But I could be wrong

Any word on CDPR updating their games? I’d love a Witcher 3 enhancement, and cyberpunk

I would say yes but like 8 months after the pro launches. Cdpr probably dont even have a team working on their old games atm. But if the demand is there they could splinter off a small team to work on the patch.

Either way I’m absolutely certain they will support it and improve the 120hz mode even more.

Remember the PlayStation version has a lot of sales, they aren’t just gonna ignore it

If CoD has variable resolutions then so long as PS5 is no where near its higher bounds then you should see an automatic upgrade on the Pro.

NeonGhost

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.

The zombies mode has visual reduction in effects in the 120fps mode hopefully they can be restored for the pro

I have seen his list and he has some games that don’t have the enhanced tag and not sure why he included those.

He may have given his reason I just didn’t see it

I am traveling today and when I get to my next stop I will research what the differences are and thank you for the heads up

Curious to know which ones they are so we can challenge the list.

Thanks for your dedication to making this list man. Much appreciated and looking forward to picking through the games I own next week.
So there were 4 other games announced that since 3 had the pro enhanced tag removed so will add them

Plus the other list removed one because the poster deems it shovelware but I will keep it on there now

Added:

Smells Like a Mushroom

Elemental War Clash

The Glory of America

Knight Shooter

Everyone is going to get the goddamned patch but the bloody Space Marine. God. Damnit.

Space marine 2
BM : Wukong
Silent hill 2

It needs to happen ASAP for the first 2 especially since they have problems (Wukong has terrible IQ, SM2 has shitty framerate), SH2 is mostly fine.

And oh, Cyberpunk 2077 would also be nice to have it patched although I don't think that it's on their priority list at the moment (something something some.months from.now)

I think some perspective is in order here:

Base PS5
Quality Mode: DRS 1620p with lows of 1296p
Performance Mode: Dynamic 1152p with lowed 684p

PS5 Pro
Quality Mode: Dynamic 1620p -> native 2160p (+33% pixel increase)
Performance Mode: Dynamic 1152p -> 1620p dynamic (~+40% pixels)

So what we have here is Pro Performance mode roughly matching the fidelity mode's resolution and settings but at 60fps. Sounds familiar?
