List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Same in the UK. The only stock is the price gouged stuff on eBay & Amazon.

Next week might get stock in when Pro's start to get to stores to be shipped out. But I'm not holding my breath.

Sony wants you to stay away from disc drives so I can imagine they are quite happy with scalpers this time.

Try in-store.

Friend of mine walked into a random Game and they had stock.

And trail through all of Sports Direct? No thanks bro.

But seriously I checked. Nadda. Not even my local indie shop has any and they always sort me out.

Yeah. Well. They can kiss my arse. I've got PS4 discs (with ps5 upgrade games) aswell as PS5 discs. An I'm not spending 40 quid to get a digital replacement of Elden Ring etc.

They had such a section for like 5 minutes on the store and as soon it goes back up I will stop updating my thread :)

I wonder what that will entail? It's already running at 60fps on the base PS5.

Edit: NVM I was thinking of Assassin's Creed Origins
AC Mirage is already running at 60fps on the base PS5 as well (along with 98% of all PS5 games). It's probably a PSSR update for IQ or just higher resolution for the respective modes: maybe native 4K/30 Fidelity and 1440p+ for Performance. Also could be a 120fps mode for performance.

not seeing it on the list, but is Battlefield 2024 getting enhanced? gemini search results says something about that it is, but it also sounds like made up AI garbage. game already looks and runs great, but would be cool to get a little more PENACHE! if you know what i mean out of them PSSRs and such.

The next Battlefield game is expected to be a technical showcase for the PS5 Pro's capabilities. The Battlefield series has long been used by EA DICE to push the boundaries of the Frostbite Engine, with advanced effects and environmental destruction.

Here's some related information about the PS5 Pro and the Battlefield series:
  • PS5 Pro
The PS5 Pro is expected to be released in late 2024. It will have higher quality graphics settings at 60 fps, and enhanced mode will support PSSR to achieve a resolution on par with graphics mode. The PS5 Pro will launch with over 80 enhanced games.

I don't get why we haven't had a Pro patch for Returnal? Housemarque are owned by Sony now, they could have just ordered the fuckers to do one.
Why should they? It's not really in Sony interest.
Pro enchanted is not a simple patch - it require some extensive coding and testing to implement something Pro specific. And Housemarque is rather small studio that working now for other project - they simply might not has resources to fo it.

I loved Returnal but lets be real the game didn't sell much and it runs amazingly well right now. I don't really feel like it needs one. Shit I feel that way about most of the Sony titles.

Maybe because Sony is selling this $700 system (actually its a $780 system) and it's a Sony exclusive that came out this generation and even got a PC version that easily surpasses the console version? Not a good look for any Sony exclusive not to get a Pro patch.

I'm thrilled that we're seeing more big games getting a Pro patch. Dying Light 2 is a huge one since this game has always been a disappointment on consoles especially in it's 60 fps mode. Baulders Gate 3, AC Mirage are great gets too.

Still much work to be done. Cyberpunk 2077, every Sony exclusive still missing such as Uncharted 4 and Returnal, Silent Hill 2, Space Marine 2, FF16, Control, Black Ops 6/mw2/mw3 the list is still big let's go

I get that, but it's not as if they have even released anything since Returnal 3+ years ago (or even announced their next game so far sfaik) so making a Pro patch for the only new IP they've released in the past nearly 10 years would seem fair enough. And as a Sony studio they would have had access to the Pro as early as anyone.

I just think it's a missed opportunity but yeah doesn't seem as if it's going to happen, I did contact them but unsurprisingly got no response.

Why ?

- First party game
- Was received well
- It STILL costs 80 Eurodollars

So yeah, it should be in their interest to enhance it

Perhaps you're right but that game really needs it especially with it's convoluted upscaling technique; iirc they render at 1080p, then upscale to 1440p (no idea how), and finally output to 4k via checkerboard rendering. It's grainy looking as a result. As beautiful as the game still is, so much fidelity left on the table from poor iq. It would be a real shame if they left unpatched not taking advantage of Pro tech.

It's a beloved game that runs poorly on PS5.

The actual coding to make it enhanced is not that significant, although I get that they are a smaller studio.

Yes thinking about it more they really should just go back and get it all patched. No rush or anything but it should be done sooner rather than later.

Yeah I suspect we will eventually get a Pro patch, they just may not be ready for launch
I'm really hoping a Pro patch comes out, because this is actually one of the games that needs it. It's really quite the travesty that the game has so many frame rate hiccups.

From Eurogamer's April 2021 article: "Returnal operates at a relatively low internal resolution, then uses a couple of techniques to boost the quality of the output. This starts with temporal reconstruction to 1440p, followed by a checkerboarding pass to deliver a 2160p output."

Looking at this list, there isn't one fighting game listed here. Not even Dragon Ball is on this list, and a new Dragon Ball game just came out. Sparkling Zero is the name of the new Dragon Ball game, and Dragon Ball, along with Tekken 8 earlier this year, as well as MK1 and Street Fighter from last year, are all conspicuously missing from this list, and just so far in general.
It's fuckin' Friday November 1st, and with less than a week to go until this thing releases, you would have figured we'd have "some" word on the three biggest fighting games in video games.
Nothing from Namco, nothing from Capcom....nothing from Netherealm. Capcom never gave us a version of Street Fighter V (5) that ran well, or equal to, the PC version, for PS5. The PS4 could never run a PC-quality version of SFV, but at least a 5, and especially a Pro 5 version could.
Netherealm at least has taken advantage of whatever technology was there for their games, be it MK11 running on PS5, or MK1 also running on the 5.
Tekken is in the same boat as Street Fighter with Capcom. There fighting games never get enhancement treatment, due to them being too old, which would likely be the reason that most would use.
No excuses for Any fighting game made for PS5 not to have enhancements, because they all came out after 2023. If anyone broached this topic and discussed it already, then my apologies for not looking you up.

The fuck you mean it ain't in Sony's interest? I should be asking "What the fuck you mean?" on half your post 'cause that shit is so ESL it's crazy. But what the fuck do you mean Sony's first party fucking game, that was a launch title for PlayStation 5, used to sell the PlayStation 5, is not a priority for it's PlayStation 5 Pro? Half the studios working on patching pre-existing games, meaning games that came out before...I'd say, 2022, are smaller studios. How in the flying fuck is Returnal, and their developer Housemarque, not a priority?
This site is pro-PlayStation. Come on man you can do better than that.

I ain't sayin' Returnal is Grand Theft Auto, we all know that. But it is still YOUR first party game, and therefore YOUR priority. Weird to think otherwise.

100%. I'm willing to wait but not too long. I don't know the work needed but what's a good time frame for them to do their catalog? 3-6 months?

Curious to know what fighting game would take advantage of the hardware versus single player experiences.

I’ve seen it said that it’s easy to implement Pro awareness/support. You say it requires extensive coding. Which is it? I would imagine it’s in Sony’s interest to make it as easy as possible to add Pro support, otherwise nobody adds it and the Pro is DOA.
