I don't think so. It practically look the same to me. No way they are using PSSR.People are saying the SH2 update is out and its.. worse lol. Lots of artifacts, same settings in perf mode and still not locked 60. Welp...

No worries, I'll check this out after I finish eating. Thanks Bro, i'ma send gold your way
i saw a brief clip on x that didnt have it
Dont pick pro max. It has worst image quality than the pro mode.Alright started to play Stellar Blade. Man I'm glad I waited for Pro before playing this. Play Pro Max which is basically highest resolution and 60fps (not locked but close enough). Normal Pro mode is 80+ fps
Guess I'm blind then, it looked sharper haha. Thanks!Dont pick pro max. It has worst image quality than the pro mode.

I just tested it. Its fucking broken
Goddamn Bloober fix this shit
Unpatched games get boost, so 30-40% FPS upside in GPU limited scenarios (when there are no CPU limitations). PSSR requires patching.aight so I saw this GT7 tweet and someone said "just wait for the patch"
and im wondering, does every game need to patch with its enhanced effects or is it automatically applied or something?
Oooh ok thank you! And PSSR is like, the visual enhancer of said game?Unpatched games get boost, so 30-40% FPS upside in GPU limited scenarios (when there are no CPU limitations). PSSR requires patching.
PSSR is used as an AI upscaler. It looks much better than TAA/FSR1/2 which is what games were using. It takes a lower resolution input and reconstructs so it looks like the game is rendering at a higher resolution, so the image looks much better.Oooh ok thank you! And PSSR is like, the visual enhancer of said game?
Now some people saying its not patched. Can anyone confirm if there was a patch today or not for the game? Its definitely broken and looks way worse than before, but maybe its just broken on the Pro unpatchedMan its really fucking bad. Anyone who waited for this, just wait until they fix this shit, because it looks horrible. There is no way it stays this way
Only positive thing is the improved fps in both modes. Quality feels rock solid even in combat now and while performance is not locked 60 in the first forest walk area but its like 55ish so pretty close and smooth on vrr display. Sadly i still dont recommend perf mode because of the shit GI settings
Ok so in reality there's no point in time where I'll be like "for this game I wanna disable PSSR"?PSSR is used as an AI upscaler. It looks much better than TAA/FSR1/2 which is what games were using. It takes a lower resolution input and reconstructs so it looks like the game is rendering at a higher resolution, so the image looks much better.
If you want PSSR, in game ray tracing, or 8K, then you need to wait for the patch.aight so I saw this GT7 tweet and someone said "just wait for the patch"

people is stupid you shoulda been learned datNow some people saying its not patched. Can anyone confirm if there was a patch today or not for the game? Its definitely broken and looks way worse than before, but maybe its just broken on the Pro unpatched
4k120 shitIf you want PSSR, in game ray tracing, or 8K, then you need to wait for the patch.
Right now, the Pro runs it at 120fps even on Prioritize Graphics mode (including replays).
I just tested it. Its fucking broken

See my post. It pretty obvious even without people telling lol. There is no change at all except there are alot of flickering due to compatibility issue. Now some people saying its not patched. Pretty weird. This is the first game that has issues on Pro non patched. Hopefully the Pro patch isnt far out thenSee my post. It pretty obvious even without people telling lol. There is no change at all except there are alot of flickering due to compatibility issue.
I think Control was also patched to resolve an issue if played on a PS5 Pro. Even f there isn't a PS5 Pro upgrade of the game.Pretty weird. This is the first game that has issues on Pro non patched. Hopefully the Pro patch isnt far out then
Yea. Look significantly better and sharper than the base consoles version which is abomination because the blurriness especially in motion you just couldn't make out the character. FSR man.Played a bit of DA. You can see some shimmering on distant objects when moving the camera, but nothing too distracting and after a few minutes i dont even notice it anymore. Other than that, the overall picture is really sharp and mostly 4K like most of the time just like AW2
Yes i just thought about control. Probably had the same issues on reflective surfaces. WeirdI think Control was also patched to resolve an issue if played on a PS5 Pro. Even f there isn't a PS5 Pro upgrade of the game.
So this might be a similar case, where it needs a patch to fix the issue or release an upgrade.
dont need to be honet for gt7, 4k 120fps mode looks awsomeaight so I saw this GT7 tweet and someone said "just wait for the patch"

Can someone test Witcher 3? And look if the grass is still glitching. Maybe record a pro session??
Interested as well. The performance mode was running pretty good on the OG.
You basically was running a broken ps5 version. I repeat. It's not patch yet.
In the pc file? And how does it related to the game not being patch yet?Game already had "PSSR" in ini files. But yeah, something is fucked up.
13% better framerate:

Part II has downgraded shadows for some reason. Maybe their solution for the ultra soft shadows interferes with PSSR, but at the moment I wouldn't play the second game on Pro personally. Especially Santa Barbara. Shadows flicker like crazy and aren't as soft and realistic as they were before. Oliver already noticed this a month ago, but this has yet to be fixed.Been playing some TLOU2.
Low and behold. Another contender has enter the ring. Look stupidity sharp.
Have anyone one of you try it yet?
That was fixed a while ago. While not perfect, it's mostly locked 40 on a base machine now. This game would be ideal for an upgrade. The fidelity 40 fps mode looks to be locked though while on the base PS5 I remember having dips below the 40 fps target.
Yeah I've tried TLOU part 1 for a bit and it's insane how clean it is and how fast it runs. I think I noticed constantly 70+fps on my tv hz counter.Part II has downgraded shadows for some reason. Part I on the other hand.. only tried it for a little bit and it has blown me away.
All those issues I've noticed post patch on regular PS5 are nowhere to be seen here. Looks impossibly good in motion.
Dragons Dogma 2 looks and runs great on the Pro. Playing with RT on, Motion Blur off and PSSR set to "Balanced". Just did a very heavy effects fight against a dragon, half a dozen NPCs and shit going off everywhere and it was consistently hitting 55+. With VRR on its very smooth. Very impressed DD2.
Diablo 4 next.
Oh, alright. I had the game parked on my NVMe for a long time and played it way back when the 40 FPS mode was still dropping frames on PS5.That was fixed a while ago. While not perfect, it's mostly locked 40 on a base machine now. This game would be ideal for an upgrade.
Try GOW and let me know your reaction especially at the beginning of the game with those wolf. Some highlights showcasing this machine:
Horizon Remastered: This has the best image quality (IQ) I've ever seen on a console and doesn’t appear to use PSSR.
Dead Island 2: Delivers impressive IQ and maintains a consistent 60 FPS, with settings seemingly pushed up.
Stellar Blade: PSSR works wonders here—not quite at Horizon’s level but still a game changer.
Spider-Man 2: The full ray tracing mode runs smoothly with VRR, likely maintaining 40-60 FPS. Ray tracing on reflections has improved, though it was already impressive. You might not notice many other changes, but overall, it stands out as a highlight.
That's crazy. I really would love to understand how the glitch happens in the first place. I thank you very much man, you might have sold me on the pro (who am I kidding, hype is thru the roof already), but having Witcher 3 again would be amazing for me.So, I've been testing for 20-25min. So far, I haven't been able to replicate the glitch.
I left the game and started from the menu of the game 4 times, I started the game from the menu of the console 3 times and I also rebooted the pro twice just to be sure. I'll keep testing in the coming days just to be sure but I know for a fact that I could replicate the glitch in less than 2 min on my OG ps5 ^^
Edit : Still messing around : there's quite a bit of pop in when you start the save, reminiscent of the hat glitch, I'd say the first 10 seconds maybe, and then nothing
Very likely its placebo but does anyone else think it looks sharper on the Pro in MP?BO6 is showing in the Pro Enhanced section in the UK now, but it's still not tagged as enhanced and it definitely hasn't had a patch that mentions it.
DRS maybe?Very likely its placebo but does anyone else think it looks sharper on the Pro in MP?
Maybe I am dreaming it
