List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Very likely its placebo but does anyone else think it looks sharper on the Pro in MP?

Maybe I am dreaming it

I thought it did and it felt really fast when I loaded it up earlier, but it reset all my settings and Fidelity CAS was at 85% and my FOV was set to 110 degrees, i use neither of those settings on base PS5 or on PC so i don't know where they came from, but i changed them and now i think it looks like base PS5, it's so confusing, they should mention what the improvements are

Some highlights shots I've taken today. Image quality is insane with these.

I mean, holy crap Demons Souls with pssr looks better than native!

Horizon is insane for not using pssr and looking this clean

Vick Vick tlou part 1 looks sick with pssr. And I love their photo mode

So there are 2 games have been the least impressive enhanced from pro. This is from what I have been watching and opinions of people who play the game on the pro.

They are AW2 and Star Wars outlaws. Guess what these games have in common? RTGI. The improvements is there but image shimmering due to specular highlights and low res alias make the whole presentation poor.

Somehow that quote was attributed to me??

Fook if I know why brother ! 😁

I've just tried Stellar Blade and the increase in sharpness is fantastic 🔥 it is possible to appreciate details in the enemy design, blood and particle effects that previously didn't come out, I played it in balanced mode on the original PS5.

Now let's see the Naughty Dog games, Horizon, Resident Evil, Harry Potter and Star Wars.
Too bad GT7 is not ready.

Part II has downgraded shadows for some reason. Maybe their solution for the ultra soft shadows interferes with PSSR, but at the moment I wouldn't play the second game on Pro personally. Especially Santa Barbara. Shadows flicker like crazy and aren't as soft and realistic as they were before. Oliver already noticed this a month ago, but this has yet to be fixed.
Haven't seen that DF video and WOW I just fired up Santa Barbara, it's a complete mess! Really?
Also how the fuck have they not yet fixed reproducible culling bugs that were there since v 1.0 on PS4 I really don't know.

I thought that too, I have always had it in 120hz and it may be my imagination but it seemed sharper, then in first game someone dropped a hellstorm and some of the effects and smoke I’m sure were not there before at 120 anyway.

Yeah my plan was to try a few different games but I got lost a bit in SB. It's an obvious choice but damn it's gorgeous and smooth.

IIRC, the PS4 Pro made a huge difference in PSVR1 games, so I wouldn't be surprised if Pro does the same for PSVR2 games. IQ hugely matters when you have a display 5cm in front of your eyes.
Bigger.

NMS VR almost looks twice as good. Kayak VR too.

I'm downloading GT7, they need to hurry up an officially patch that for VR 2 as well. Because holy shit, if it's similar to the prior games mention we are in for a fucking treat.

I just tested it. Its fucking broken

Goddamn Bloober fix this shit

I find this concerning.

It's obviously BS that it's the Pro version using PSSR as it's not out yet. It's just the same game running as is on Pro hardware.

But still, something is going seriously wrong to induce so much flickering just running the same code on the Pro.

We're getting a Pro patch so it doesn't matter much in this instance - but what about the hundreds of other games which won't be getting a Pro patch?

I'm hoping over the next few months we don't find various issues rearing their heads. No QA in the world will be large enough to catch every visual issue in a library spanning two generations.

One thing that can be affected is dynamic resolution. UE must be screwing something or it's a conflict with custom ue tsr

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
I'm going to give it a little more time before my final verdict, I've tried Stellar Blade and currently going through the rest.

But currently.....I seriously can't see the any difference.
And I'm a "One thing out of place kinda guy"
A slight colour temperature change I would notice.
But nothing so far
Any recommendations?

Try FF7 Rebirth.

Aw2 doesn't have rtgi but dragons dogma 2 does and also has issues. That is such a shame tho about Outlaws. I was expecting that to be one of the showcase titles fir the Pro ....

Glasses? I mean thats tongue in cheek, but I can see differences without any trouble. Probably noticing the better framerates more than IQ generally speaking (Hell Let Loose was glorious to play without drops) but there is definitely clarity boosts, kind of like a single step increase in your glasses prescription. Or perhaps a 1/2 step would be more accurate.

It does. Both games I mentioned have software RTGI build into their graphic engine. You can't toggle like hardware RT.

Interesting. Stellar Blade is pretty obvious even you not even going into game. The hair alias give it away on the menu.

Did some more testing on hogwarts Legacy.
The patch claims improved foliage and geometry in performance mode + added pssr to all modes.
The pssr part might be true because it looks very clean.
BUT but draw distance is iffy. Performance and HFR performance modes both draw gras a lot closer and more spare than balanced and quality modes. Just like before.
On top of that - now I see a bit more pop in in any mode and white glitching... and cape physics are kinda broken now too

I don't know like. Could of already had Pro support.

Might be some driver issue that can be resolved by a firmware update. Hopefully Sony knows about this. PSSR also has issues with fooliage in a lot of games, that also needs improvement, but it might be another fw issue

Some smaller issues aside that hopefully can get fixed with FW updates, i think Sony undersold this console and its only the launch. Its good to see that some games are already getting major improvements and not just some small ones. Cant wait for next year when the new games are coming.

It seems that those ones with decent/good/better tv's are experiencing better results than those with more modest ones seeing different opinions on the internet.

I'll pick mine tomorrow and see if there's any difference, I have a LG C2 65"

Checked out a few more titles this morning.

Firstly, Jedi Survivor looks phenomenonal and runs great. The PSSR support in Performance mode really elevates the overall presentation. Runs like a dream, very smooth. Once again, I turned off all of the image enhancements like Chromatic Abberation, Film Grain and Motion Blur. The HDR presentation is also surprisingly strong in this title. Huge improvement here and definitely recommended if you're a Pro user that wants something to really capture your eye.

No Mans Sky looks fine, I'm so bored of this game I couldn't stand playing it for more than 10 minutes. It's very smooth and sharp and I'm sure NMS fans on the Pro will be happy.

Lastly, Planet Zoo, I don't know why I expected anything here but it's obviously hard capped at 30fps with vsync. I had hoped it was running uncapped and we this might have had a boost but no, it's still 30fps locked unfortunately. This isn't a Pro enhanced game or anything, was just a test.

Last title I really want to checkout is Frontier of Pandora. Just to see if there's any enhancements to the 40fps mode or if it remains capped. Just an experiment, I'm not expecting any changes but will report back once it's downloaded.

They could have added a mode without RT that can resolve to a 4k 60 image. If my memory serve me right, the RT don't do much here in the game.

Bump up the internal res to 1440p and use PSSR to 4k. This will get rid of some minor alias I see from the footages and look close to or matching the 4k image.

Seriously, people would play this mode more than 4k 30fps. This might be the prefer mode for most people.

You are seeing things that aren't there.

1. Video is not 1:1
2. WHY would PS4 game with broken frame limiter suddenly perform better after already having the same broken performance on PS4 Pro and PS5?

So thinking logically: there is no reason for it to perform better. Also, isn't this site banned source?
The game have bad framepacing, you will see 29, 30 and 31fps in both consoles. That is the reason why From games are a stuttering mess. In PS4 and PS5 hacked consoles there is a fix that use a Sony api to synchronize frames with the screen. From is using a ancient own method

Also the guy who made the patch for Bloodborne for hacked consoles already said why From games are running so bad in PlayStation consoles. From is not activating compilator optimizations flags in PlayStation consoles (probably they are not in Xbox too)

It looks the same, performance mode is slightly lower res just like before.
Maybe it have improved frame rate but I don't the stuff to measure that.
Marvels Spider-Man is now playable in high frame rate now, looked like a, doesn't have that blurry soap opera look now

I can't really comment on Alan Wake 2 because this is my first time playing it so, if it looks better let me know

You notice anything Oliver talk about in the DF review video regarding to RT issue? It seems to distract him alot since he keep mention it since the hand on previews.

Also, did you try the graphics mode with or without RT on? How the frame rate outside in these modes?
I don’t know what is Oliver problem with RT. I think the IQ is pretty good. There is only 2 smooth options. Framerate or Framerate mode + RT. The first looks 60fps locked, the second one sometimes drops fps in raining and some busy areas, but is much improved from PS5 version.

The balanced mode without RT runs pretty similar to performance mode in PS5, I would estimate between 50-55fps (can drop more in busy areas)

To me the best mode is performance + RT.
