Minori is starting to grate on me.
Akatsuki or Henrietta or bust.

Eh she's a kid so it's understandable. I liked the interaction with Toma though, he said the right things. Not sure why but I expected him to be an idiot since it's anime and all, but Log Horizon is better than the norm.

On her own or her party she is fine, its all the stuff with Shiroe that bugs me.
Even just the looking up to him thing for some reason.

So where is this going? Can someone just spoil where this next part is going with Akatsuki, Minori, and Shiroe?

Log Horizon Episode 22:

Not going to lie, this was a rather tedious episode to watch, I think Akatsuki said it best in calling her rival a middle schooler, the whole cake segment was just awkward and besides it is known that Henrietta would be the best match for Shiroe. Honestly, I wanted to see much more of the festival instead of watching what amounted to the harem spin-off visual novel episode.

Episode 22 was ok I guess. Was expecting more of the festival rather than what we got with the cake. Hopefully next episode can pick up a little.

How many episodes are left? 2?

I rather there not be a triangle at all and it just be akatuski and shiroe moments, heeneirtta wouldnt never been a in love triangle with akataski over shiroe, that would go against her character.

Episode 22

You know? That wasn't at all as bad as I expected. It was handled a bit predictably, but it wasn't as annoying as other anime. Of course he's gonna go for Akatsuki, but hell maybe Minori can get some development out of this experience.

Also;

Izuzu > Akatsuki > Henrietta > Marie > Minori

Another shipping episode...

And with only a few episodes to go too. Probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't shove it in your face, or if the main love triangle wasn't between Shiroe and two twelve year old girls.

Yes, I know one of them is in college, but she looks 12.

Could be the fact that its an anime and characters are drawn young?

The LN explicity says that Akatsuki looks way younger than she actually is. It's a deep problem for her, to the point of having some psychological ramifications
like roleplaying as a ninja because it seems a safe way to interact with people for her

She really hated to think that shiroe thought of her as a child

And worst : the line about being the rival of a middle schooler ? IIRC what I read in the LN something like that already happened to her in the past
with a kid asking her to be his GF when she was in highschool, thinking they were of the same age.

So yes, she positively loath her appearance and have important low self-esteem issues.

Funny that in the LN, people in the cake eating contest are also
calling him lolicon
. I have no idea why they cut that out.

So the episode initially gave me the impression that
Minori would become a yandere
even though I've read the novels lol.

As my contribution to this thread, have an almost perfectly looped gif of
akatsuki rolling on tatamis

Episode was very pedo in my opinion. I know that Akats is older but dammit she look like a middle schooler herself and like others have said Henrietta is the one that should be Shiroe's main...

Thought the episode, while the weakest, was still done pretty well. Minori's affection grew out of looking up to Shiroe and turned into puppy love for her. I mean, she is a middle schooler and I think next episode it's going to get cleared up.

A few of the laughs were cheap, but I had a good time. Akatsuki or bust here guys. Shiroe needs no other ladies.

I'm ready for the next big thing to pop up, though it's going to suck that the season is almost over.

Cake scene was hilarious.

Henrietta telepathically knowing that Akatsuki needed clothes was great.

I agree that Minori crushing on Shiroe is pretty believing, but I think they need to crush her dreams asap and not make this longer than it needs to be.

I do like these relaxing episodes, but I cringe at the thought of a love triangle. I'm sure this show will handle it a lot better than most, but the last mmo-themed anime I watched scarred me for life.

Log Horizon Episode 23:

Now this is the Log Horizon I know and love, yes, after last week's quite frankly terrible episode we are back in the saddle.
I really do love how Log Horizon weaves its world building, seeing Minori becoming an apprentice scribe and watching Naotsugu and Akatsuki and watch the festival play out and of course watch Log Horizon weave the larger narrative into the mix. Little occurrences between the Adventures and the People of the Land so subtle and expected around a big event that not even Shiroe picked up on it until the advantage was gained. Yes, a new war begins and it has been awhile since we got an antagonist with a face. This time Log Horizon don't chintz out on the action scenes. Also, for fuck sakes stop with the ship teasing, after three straight episodes I am just tired of the teasing.
I really don't know how then next 2 (!!!) episodes are going to go down and I like that.

Sword art online?

Dunno why I'm asking, I know its sword art online.

So, let me get this straight. These People of the Land causing a ruckus during the festival aren't /really/ People of the Land, but rather they're infiltrators sent by that Lord Mahvel dude to fuck shit up while he comes in with his people to fuck more shit up

Damn, Shiroe.
When you fuck up you REALLY fuck up

Also this isn't really spoiler-y of the next episode as it's on the NHK blog but it was p hilarious

Log Horizon 23

More shipping turns into a great wtf moment and another shift for the series. Looks like things are brewing and it's time to draw on Shiroe once again.
I think the lax nature of the past few episodes did a really good job in enhancing the blow at the end of the episode. Everything seems good and fine and almost expected after everything that has happened, and yet the story was being pushed towards the upcoming arc. Even if the last few episodes were a bit slower, it was really well paced where viewers are thinking things are winding down even though everything is picking back up.
Now I really want season 2 to air.

Anybody else noticed her ?

Part of that advanced force. Maybe the strategist for Lord Marves?

Yeah I think I agree.
The past few episodes were slow, but it paid off at the end of this one - the slowness resulted in a great build up to a new arc. Could have done without so much shipping but it has been entertaining. Show is funny.

EDIT: Oh sweet I didn't realize season 2 was confirmed! Gonna have to wait a while for it but I'm glad that its coming.
