So did the South Korean girl actually get screwed, or was it just a matter of the timings shown not being correct?

Apparently the time shown was not correct. Or well to be precise the 0.00 time shown was not correct.
Spox.de says that at the first point where 1 second was being shown it was actually 1.9 seconds left, at the second it was still 1.2 seconds and after that the last attack happened (within those 1.2 seconds).

This is why i felt so relieved when Japan got the silver in gymnastics. Every OG there are these fucked up travesty of justice that never gets fixed by IOC.

Like in 2004, when the brazilian marathon runner, lost his gold, because some idiot in the audience, pulled him down when he was about to win.

Or Ara Abrahamian, wrestler in 2008 etc.

Usually, the refs are extremely stubborn and never acknowledges their mistakes.

Is every poster in this thread watching a different sport or something? I can't keep up with what the hell most of you are talking about.

Sorry.

Is the BBC Olympic player a generic one that all the countries have access to or is it

something they have come up with. It's fantastic.

The BBC is one of the best things about this country just because they come up with shit like this, nothing generic about it son

Oh come on, cut this "You're German, your opinion is invalid." bullshit. Is there any (professional) site out there right now that has a different version of how things went ?

No, there aren't any other "professional" sites making stuff up to fit their agendas.

Watching the clock countdown, the "one" second did not last longer, and the beep sounded as soon as zero was displayed. Shin deserves better.

"It's just great to represent my country at a home Olympics.

Now hand me another 4 years of Lottery funding."

this.

until 2008 onwards they always complained of poor pay/bad facilities

now they just choke and expect the lottery money to come in 5th place and "be happy they had a day out"

this is mainly about swimmers

I can't remember the details but there was a incident in boxing a while back when a guy kept head butting his opponent, was disqualified but sat in the boxing ring in protest. They eventually switched off the lights and left a spotlight on him until he left.
