Looking back they will be happy, but after getting so close to getting a gold, almost tasting it...I mean come on, anyone would be devestated. Unless they were a huge underdog or something along those lines, but they weren't. They aren't poor sports at all, they are just passionate. Unless they start complaining about the results, I don't see how they could be considered poor sports in this situation.

Yeah I guess you're right. Thinking back where team's I have been on have come up just short is kind of heartbreaking.

Deliberation at Velodrome.

China may get DQ'd from the Gold for same reason as Pendleton/Varnish.

Meanwhile China getting interviewed by Olympic Broadcasters on their win...

Media training is the big thing. I wonder how many athletes do go home to their dorm and actually tear up at a silver. I mean, I don't want that to happen because to all of us, being there is an achievement in itself. But we rarely see anyone upset on camera. I do wonder if some athletes go back and show emotions whether its crying or cursing or something else.

Komova was just devastated. It's understandable. She's 16/17 years old and has been training for this shit for quite awhile.

Oh my. Nastia with a 16.65 on bars?

These fab five girls are pretty damn good but it would've been cool to see Nastia and Shawn repeat. Those girls were fantastic.

Not that I know anything about cycling but for the same thing to happen twice at the Olympics makes this rule seem insanely harsh. I suppose it should be up to the riders to not cut it so close, just such a shame, really casts a black shadow over this event

lol the BBC commentator was the one who told Germany they'd won gold. They were walking past ready to go get their silver when she told them.
