I don't know about him, but this is the first basketball game I've watched all Olympics. I was wondering the same thing.

Spain is very talented team (second best in the world behind the US). US is always great in the 3rd quarter, would not be surprised if they were able to pull away here. Esp. with Marc having 4 fouls.

What on earth does the result have to do with the BBC? Also BBC don't show any pro boxing so there's nothing in it for them.

He's talking about the British Boxing Board Control. He's basically accusing them of buying medals without any evidence. The Azerbaijanis tried to do it, but standards are much higher in this country, there is no way they could get away with it.

There are clear travesties that have occurred in boxing this Olympics, but this wasn't one of them. It was a close fight with some funky scoring, and it could have gone either way, but that doesn't mean that it was a fixed fight.

BBBofC not BBC, they are just molding Joshua to be the next Lewis but everybody knows that he is never going to be as good as Lennox. Joshua shouldn't have even been in this gold medal fight, he clearly lost to Savon but of course many people are denying that.

Yeah because Britain has no up and coming heavyweights at all....Oh wait we do!

Also a Heavyweight as good as Lennox is a very very rare thing. Just accpet the fact that Joshua won.

Can't believe someone would seriously think we're trying to buy medals on home soil. Only on GAF...

Do you have any idea the shit-storm that would ensue if that actually happened? It would tarnish 7+ years and £10Bn in preparation.

Who David Price and Tyson Fury? David Haye who does nothing? or Chisora who can't fight? All four of them are waiting for both Klitschko's to retire so they can jump in like savages to get those 4 belts? Please man be realistic, just like the US fighters England has nothing, only two good fighters in the Heavyweight division right now.

I expected Spain to run US close but not this deep into the game. US normally starts pulling away at this point. Pau Gasol was always going to have to have a beastly game. Kobe will come good.

I'm surprised Spain is (or was) leading. They've looked really apathetic and listless all Olympics, to the point that they almost didn't even make the finals.

You have clearly got a wiped agenda here. I don't know what you're rambling on about, but what has that got to do with this fight?

You're suggesting that Britian has been searching for a heavyweight for a long time, and that the BBBC have paid AIBA to ensure that Joshua will win gold and can then be moulded into a pro who can then take the belts when the Klischko's retire? Dude.

EDIT: I've already said that boxing at the Olympics need to be thrown out if AIBA can't sort themselves out, but I don't think this match was evidence of corruption that we've seen down the years.

I've only watched for about 6 minutes, but I think I've seen one Spain Possesion end in a shot that didn't include a foul called on the US.

They have so good quality though, it was just a matter of time before they utilized it properly in this tournament I guess.

Ice cold from Durant there.
