I was really, really hoping they would have Hologram Freddie. Like, you have no idea. They should have ended (transitioned to the next part) with Eric Idle :(. They could have done Queen before him!
 
If Greece dissolved/was absorbed in parts into other countries/became many smaller independent states, what would the IOC do? I don't think this question is entirely ridiculous considering Greece's current economic situation.
 
I was so hyped when Freddie was shown vocalizing, i was hoping they'd follow up with Under Pressure, which is the song that comes right after that on their Wembley '86 concert.

Yes, it is a ridiculous question. Bankrupt countries don't just get split up and absorbed by the surrounding nations.

Countries aren't companies.

City states? Sparta, Athens, perhaps a new greater Macedonia will emerge and a young military leader will march east.

Economic trouble lead to more extreme disagreements. More extremism entertains secession of portions of countries. Not entirely ridiculous to see portions break off depending on how long their central government is troubled and how protected their depression is.

No, Madness was on earlier. They did skip over the reprises of most of the early songs that played while the athletes entered, though.

Oh. Yeah. There doesn't need to be ANY commentary bit at least its less than the opening ceremonies.
 
Madness were left in. I can't believe they cut Muse. But you'd never know they did the theme song anyway since I don't think NBC acknowledged it even once. I got the impression that "Home" song was the theme as much as it was played.
 
I'm pretty hype for rio. Put some Bossa Nova on.

I love brazilian culture and music. So I'm expecting a lot from the opening ceremonies.

Liam needs the exposure, I'm not surprised. I'm sure Noel is only annoyed in that Liam didn't sound very good so maybe it tainted his song a bit. I saw them on the last tour and he actually sounded really good but he's so hit or miss these days. I just want to know who the child was playing rhythm guitar. I was so confused!

Regardless, Wonderwall is a once in a lifetime kinda song. :) Just makes me so happy every time I hear it.
 
Since I presume I'll finally be done with my PhD by the next olympics I want to go.

Brasil already slaying the London Olympics. Get hype.
