If guns were legal in the UK, these rioters would have KILLED people long before now. The fact that there have been no fatalities in this riot is a testament to the excellent gun control laws and responsible policing.

Police tactics seem to greatly differ from the US. Here we would have done that plus gassed them by now. Many would have met the business end of a taser as well. The way these guys are going from spot to spot would not be tolerated by the police, nor the citizens, and would be put to a stop immediately. I mean, I don't think these from last reports are Cali-style/size riots.

And rioters aren't cowards. They are stupid. Stupid people do stupid things (like setting buildings on fire that have people in them). They would think they are invincible with a gun and shoot at any cop that comes near them and any other looter that tries to nick something they were going for.

This is really starting to piss me off. I live in London now, but that doesn't make me any more angry that these worthless pricks will get away with absolutely everything. All it takes is one... courageous politician to let the police do what is necessary to keep things in order. Until then, these people will continue to believe - as is apparently the truth - that their actions are without consequence.

Start to fight back and maybe, just maybe we can prevent the entirety of Greater London fearing for their safety. These people do not deserve the same rights as the rest of us right now, so get the batons, tear gas, water hoses and horses and don't hold back.

As I understand, a non-police weapon was found at the scene, so he probably drew it ready to fire. It doesn't make sense to me that the bullet in the police radio was a police one, so it's definitely all a big conspiracy.
