As traube, the Mafia Goon, was strung up, he give a small smile. "You have impressed the godfather. Your holiday has come to an end. I--" (the noose passing round his neck) "--am but sorry I failed him." The stool kicked, the body fell, and the mafia came to a sudden end. Together, the seven remaining tourists walked out of the hotel into the warm Sicilian sun. They had survived! Alas, the nights and days had claimed the lives of sixteen innocents souls. They would never be forgotten.
You are deeply in love with El Topo; they are guaranteed to be of the same alignment as you. You may communicate with your lover here. Unfortunately, you are so deeply besotted with your Lover, that their death would cause you to leap from the balcony with grief: should your Lover die, you will die at the end of that phase too.

You are unfortunately a terrible sleepwalker, constantly off and about in your dreams with nary an idea as to what is going on. Each night, you will at random visit one of the other players. You will not receive any information about this or as a result of this.
This was your attempt to escape the paparazzi and enjoy a quiet holiday in the sun, but alas, you now find yourself in deep waters. By removing your mustache, you would be revealed as sex icon and famous film star Gerhardt Schlongstein, but this is a last resort. Once per game, you may call upon me to confirm to all other players in the game that you are aligned with the Tourists. To do so, post the command REVEAL in the thread.
And... as promised... a game review and best player awards!
Game Review
The result has been a fairly strong town win - they had a hypothetical 2 possible days left of wrong lynches and night kills before defeat. I think there are several reasons for this. The first is that the mafia and our friendly neighbour psychopath Karkador had an awful lot of crossfire. Theoretically, there should have been on average of a little under two kills a night from these two roles, but as the history shows, we only saw 2 kills in one night! That gave town a lot of extra time and material to work with.
The second is that some of the mafia cracked a little under the pressure! After an absolutely sterling performance up until pants' death, the first loss led to some rash claims. Taking a little longer to figure out some of the details of fake roles can go a long way further to ensuring mafia victories.
The third is that town played especially well towards the end. This game was constructed to be one where you can't just rely on your power roles, and even after town lost their switcher and tracker, they kept on generating material by focusing on analysis and careful thinking. That's the key to winning any town game - you can't rely on the cop, especially when one doesn't exist!
The fourth is that Karkador, who fought the brave fight, was almost too good! He correctly helped town lead on so many mafia that it hurt his own position in the end, leading to him being offed too soon. Alas, a truly gentle psychopath.
Overall, I think everyone played well. But, some were better than others, and I'm nominating for the first inaugural GAF Mafia Hall of Fame...
Best Scum: traube
It's really difficult to keep going when you know the town is on your back. The pressure can cause people to slip, as Lord of Castamere found out to his cost! traube put in the effort with RBH in trying to coming up with a cunning claim to keep him in the game, and it worked a little longer. For great perseverance against the odds and deceiving the town longest of all, traube wins the first Best Scum award!
Best Town: Timeaisis
Timeaisis is exactly the sort of player a town needs. Towns need to talk, to generate material, ideas, suggestions - even if they're wrong. The pressure of trying to fit in to a vibrant and communicative town is what causes mafia to crack. Every day, I saw Timeaisis contributing and detailing his suspicions and creating an atmosphere that powered town on. He only got dealt the role of Ordinary Tourist, but boy did he use it well.
Special Mentions: Karkador, El Topo, Zippedpinhead
First, Karkador. I'd like everyone to give him a huge round of applause! It's really difficult being the unaligned role in a game. Not only is your victory condition normally quite hard to fulfil, you also have nobody to confide in. Despite that, Karkador put in an absolutely incredible effort and at one point I thought he might even go on to win. Unaligned roles exist to spice up life for mafia and town. If you can win as one despite the difficulty, you've earnt yourself some pretty incredible bragging rights. Karkador might not quite have got those rights in full, but he got so damned far that I considered nominating him for the final award, coming ahead...
El Topo and Zippedpinhead are my other special nominations. They played cool and calm, using their ability to discuss strategies to the best of their ability. Effortlessly town, they never needed to reveal their role - with the dangerous consequences that would have - because they were clearly helping hunt down the scum to the end. They really leveraged the full use from their role, and for that, they get this mention.
Best Player: Timeaisis
With a town win, it's only natural that the best player is the best townie. Congratulations to Timeaisis, who walks away with this round's big award!
That's all folks!
I hope everyone enjoyed the game, and I hope you'll all consider joining another round or encouraging others to join. My hope is that one of you is inspired to go on and host your own game - because then I get to go on and play! ;P (no, really, I'd actually love to see what you could come up with). So, I'm finishing this off with a big thank you to everyone. You've all been great and made this a real joy to run.
Thank you, and farewell!

"Così, vedo che sopravvissero mio processo. Tuttavia , essi non devono sfuggire alla morte per sempre. Nessuno fa un pazzo di Cosa Nostra." A smirk crawled across the shadowed face of the suited man sat alone at the great banquet table, swilling a half-full wine glass around. "Come direbbero che - 'until we meet again.'"
I wanted to toy with Amir0x much longer. I was going to dangle him like meat over a pool of sharks till the last third of the game but never really get him killed until it was convenient. Once I didn't line up my next target (I didn't expect Amir0x to die that phase) I grew bored tbh.
To the people who said I flew under the radar, it's cause I decided to play the game as if I'm really helping the town for the most part (Amir0x and KingKitty aside). KingKitty was going to be my next frameup lol
For the record Mobilegaf is what killed me. I was going to do one last scan for my list but you can't searh threads in mobilegaf. I had so many lists but not one for supposed targets. I was also sleep deprived that morning. I'm still upset about it, as that was an ace claim, i could have coasted for a few days on it. I should have ran it by the others before posting, but ultimately I should have been the one to roeclaim Watcher. I like my lies to be half truths. Harder to get called out that way.
I actually made two mistakes on the list. The Quantumbro mistake, and I said I saved Karkador multiple times even though I would have known he was lying. I wasn't thinking clearly when I posted that.
I actually strung together a narrative when we found out Ultron knew I was roled to explain my no lynchs. l wish I had gotten the chance to use it. I'd say Nin1000's save of Ultron was the pivotal target of the game by far. Our biggest mishandle of the game was way too many same side votes IMO.
Yeah, that day was the clincher. Up until then I thought mafia were storming to victory with Karkador maybe snatching the win, then it all unravelled so quickly.
Yeah, Karkador was too good if anything! He contributed to a lot of mafia deaths to the point he made himself expendable. If I'm ever mafia in a game with him, definitely going to take him out early!
Thanks for running this Crab. Even though I didn't participate much in the early game, I really enjoyed myself. I'd definitely be down for another game with you all sometime.
Crab has some 72 hour rules in the first post, I think.
I was hoping the Mafia would kill one of the silent people. Killing Barry is probably a better move to win the game, but killing the quiet people makes it far more fun.
I'm not sure what everyones exceptions were for the game. I did take it somewhat seriously. If us doing that put anyone of from the game or caused any issues I'm sorry. Sorry to Barry as well. I hope next game you're not killed so quickly.

I'm amazed I didn't end up lynched. I don't think I was very helpful at all for most of the game. I was basically just cruising along, trying not to piss off mafia. Although for a while, Palmer seemed pretty certain I was scummy. His suspicions pushed me to be a little more proactive.
