I'd definitely appreciate any ideas you might have. Not sure how long it will take for the game to materialize (or even if it will at all) though. Hopefully I can put some serious thought into it over the next few weeks.

I agree with this, but should be true of the mid-season games only. Generally speaking, people are players before they are game-runners; once you've been a player becoming a game-runner is a matter of inevitability (heheheh, got you now), but becoming a player is the biggest jump. That means generally speaking our season games need to run a demand basis of what players will sign up to than on a supply basis of what game-runners we should provide. Because we don't get so many new players mid-season, that's less of an issue and it is a better opportunity to blood mods.
EDIT: In fact, when we're a fuller community, I'd even consider restricting running a season game to those who have run a mid-season game. We're too small for that to be quite viable yet, but when we start approaching ~100 active players (we're at ~80 now) and running about four-five mid-season games a season, by like S7 we'll have a batch of 20 experienced game-runners minimum and it ensures our season games have the quality they need.

I'm not sure it's really a bullet, that implies that running a mid-season game is difficult rather than a delightful opportunity to roil in the schadenfraude of suffering innocents.
