It's in "we're not going to use it often, but its there if we want/need it" status.Whoa, protection still kicking around?
Goblins has had it's moment in the sun a few times before in Modern. So far, playing Burn has proved to be a more effective strategy.
Well, that's a neat and wholly unexpected reprint. Pretty happy that it seems that BFZ is going to have the classic tribes in it. I haven't gotten a chance to play them in standard, since they didn't exist when I came back.
But let me tell you, as a collector I'm mad that my Piledriver playset prices are gonna crater!!11!!
I wouldn't drop them - that card's probably not coming back to standard any time soon.Is Rabblemaster any good in Modern with Piledriver around? I was gonna drop those pretty soon.

I dunno about that, but the painlands being printed worry me a bit.

Wizards is done with Midrange by the looks of it. Standard's going to be interesting.

Siege Rhino is going to dominate standard for another year.
Vryn looks cool, by the way. I'm hoping the Spring set is there.
Was Goblin Piledriver printed just outside of modern before this? Can it find a home in burn playing alongside Goblin Guide?
welp flying thalia is a card
It is, but three mana is a huge difference for what that deck wants to do. It will see some play, for sure
Loyalist into Piledriver into Rabblemaster? Hell yeah I'm going to try that out.
GB on the way home now
Its a tribal card, you'd play it as a dedicated Goblins deck.
Rabble master worth holding onto post rotation ?
God the assholes you run into on Cockatrice.
My understanding is that Rabblemaster sees fringe play in some older formats, but honestly, I think it's too good a card not to hold onto at least a playset. It's bound to find a home eventually.
The problem is that the "these nerds are gross and sweaty and chasing away all the women" argument is that it doesn't explain this competitive disparity showing up in a game like Chess.
