I'm tending to notice in my social feeds people who are most excited for snow live in apartments, a big metro or don't need to rely on a car. While the people a bit more stressed are those who drive often or live in houses.

You dig your own grave.
You have no right to complain about mother nature if you made the choice to rely on a car.
Although to be fair, my new apartment is all electric, which means if I lose power I cant cook :/
Oh shit terrisus is from Meriden?
Really? No snow in MedfordOooo, the snow has started in Boston.
Winds worry me more than the snow.
Same here. What kinds of wind speeds are you folks expecting during this storm?
I think all the weather reports are the..learn which GAF people live really close to you thread.

Long Island GAF checking in (Suffolk Co in the house). Light snow since 9, winds have been gusting. It's cold out there. I decided to take off from work today and tomorrow. Just went to ShopRite which was a friggin zoo right now.
Hold up, am I reading that right? 2-3 feet is actually back on the table for NYC? Shiiiieeeeeeeet.
Just got the call to close up shop at 1PM. Something tells me the 4/5/6 lines are going to be even more of a pain in the ass going back to the Bronx.
Cars are awesome when you lose power. Heat and phone charging. I have a generator, thankfully.

Yea, I think we can expect an early MTA shutdown
No need. I can walk to work, which has a generator, or walk to my friend who lives in a luxury apartment which I would hope also has a generator.

East Haven, CT here...bring it on mother nature.
Generators save lives on the East Coast, that's for sure. I once had no power for 6 days.
bro! im in Staven and have a basement full of rare beer, we got this!
terrisus from meriden, oh man..im sorry
Yeah for Sandy I lost power for 6 days, but fortunately my old apartment had a gas water heater and gas stove. So I spent the day at work (even though it was closed) using their power and still smelt nice and fresh.
My current place is all electric, so I should invest in cologne.
We lost it for 10(?), but our hot water heater was gas so we could at least shower. It was ok until the final 2-3 days when temps started dropping a lot.
20 here currently. (Right on the water) picking up to 35-40 at night.
Gusts could hit 50mph in some areas.

I am thinking of the homeless people now and feel bad for hoping 3 feet.
