If romance shoujo/josei tried to experiment more with different settings other than high school/work they probably can have better representation in threads like one-page manga. 7 Seeds is a good example. When you are confined with real life settings, it's really hard to make impressive impact with one page drawing unless you do some really cool stuff with your backgrounds or visuals, but sadly most artists play it safe these days. At least for most ongoing stuff I read.
Although romance manga confessional pages can be pretty effective at getting me to pick up their manga. Used to add a lot of stuff to my backlog from all these shoujo manga panels tumblrs

Yeah, this has been my problem, too. That and a lot of the pages I want to show off are heavily reliant on the context surrounding it. Also I'm too lazy to go hunt down appropriate pages for series I read a long time ago (i.e., Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer).
I've been trying to post pages that give a little hint to the general plot, but obviously that isn't as compelling as the One-punch Man gifs.

I think showcasing unique settings or cool background falls under "scenery porn". Of course, one could be interested in reading a comic solely based on its visual/direction, but the main draw of romance to me is the character interactions. Thus it frustrates me because I want to show those, yet seeking a single page that could distill a unique or lovable relationship is hard.
One can show an exciting fight choreography for a battle shonen, or a particularly terrifying shot from a horror. So unfair!
What we need are more blood-pumping confessional pages!

I think the Hi Score Girl dream is dead. Ciel scans seem to be focusing on other things, like Ojojojo (I'm not complaining), and a couple dozen other series they're doing. They're actually outputting HSG chapters slower than the raws come out, and that's saying something.

I think stuff similar to like Heart of Thomas can also work. Set in a boarding school but it has a lot of eye catching pages that try to show the different emotions of the characters in unique ways.
But yeah if you want to show the culmination of the relationship in one page, it's hard without experiencing the journey yourself.

Gundam Origin v5
Another great entry in the gundam origin manga storyline. Turning back the pendulum of time to focus on the upbringing of one of the most memorable Gundam characters, Char, made it easily be one of the best volumes of the series thus far. Enjoyed much of the Casval storyline though it was sad that he and Asteria suffered so much as children and were on several occasions constantly on the run. Teared up a bit mainly when they had to leave their mother locked up in the tower (was confused why the old lady forced her to be there?) and eventually met an early death of sadness and longing. Though there were great fun moments especially the random Casval Garma signaling as young ones and then the really brief fun time with Casval and Char.
Funniest moment was Kai and that paper airplane with the new crew scene and his laughing at the one characters attempts to talk to Mirai.

Casval looked stunning back then and certainly in current times as Char too (a previous volume moment especially).The brief cameos by other characters at the same time like Mirai and Amuro were nice touches to help align it with other characters storylines.

this is distinctively more violent than the original series - gives it a bit of its own identity at least, and Soujiro is coming into his own as a lead rather than just a harem gag.

Really hilarious start because of the once again forcing of Shinnosuke into moments that he just isnt accustomed too as a loner. Having to sing at Karaoke doing things that normal friends due had to be the funniest scene to imagine him in and then being forced to sing or else look lame. These moments make the series even more exciting than its labyrinth girl killing premise it sells itself on is about.
Hishiro Shiro continues to be best character with his huge friendship thing going on for Shinnosuke now to levels that are embarrassingly high, some of his lines make it sound way more than friendship almost love and obsession, but as hard as Shino tries he just cant escape. I cant wait for when if it ever gets to the point where it wont be as one side or at least Shino verbally expresses and acknowledges it, but deep down it seems he does like their company.

Chairman is truly living up to expectations of being one of the better antagonists in currently running jump manga, and his line about learning from losses versus forgetting them, I think is relevant in todays real world context, most people forget instead of learning.
