A short, 5ish page manga without any dialogue. It was pretty dumb, but there were some comments with people trying to adlib what they were saying, which made it worth a second read.
Well this last chapter showed that curry dude, Erina's slave, and DTL italian bro all are cooking for someone else's sake (that whole page where they all said "For [insert name here]..."). Now, whether this is a good thing according to the manga has yet to be shown, but thing being shonen and all, I have a feeling it's probably a positive (it "adds" to your cooking power level or something). And Soma currently isn't cooking for anybody but himself. And this all ties back to what his father said at the end of ch. 1...So basically what I'm trying to say is that, thematically, things may happen...maybe...possibly
And by things I mean all out mangaf war things.

Yet the concept of development is apparently having someone/something to fight for and Soma hasn't done that yet (hell his pops also said the same thing in the first chapter of the series plus its kinda being implied that he changed after learning it himself).
You should know what that will (sadly) ultimately turn into and why some are drawing the battleline wins/defeats from early.

I still am not used to these new character designs. Franky is the worst offender, but I hate Nami and Zoro's as well. It's nice to see some new abilites from people, but on the whole, it was a pretty dull volume.

I could name a lot of mangas that has a generic ass setting but are incredibly good.
It has the energy of binbougami ga!, which is all I want from this author really.
Don't care bout waifu wars, just want Tadokoro's cooking get featured and she still have character development.

Yes I skipped vol 1 becase it wasn't available everywhere. This is the reason why I hate buying physical manga in my country. The retailer is dumb as fuck, don't have a fucking clue about retail business.
Anyway, this is really hilarious and good. All of the stories always get me everytime. What I loved from Seki-Kun is that mundane things made hilarious and some over-the-top absurdity like pulling a block of wood out of a bag. The relatively simple art does help a lot to create the mood. I'm glad Seki-kun is a regular manga, not 4-koma since the format also works with that, but with severe butchering here and there.

A reread of this series is definitely interesting since it's letting me pick up on the small things between the characters. Of course we get introduced to Haru's brother and class rep and more of the will they will they not relationship between Haru and Mizutani that is still adorable.
