As much as I love Urban Horror and short stories, I really thought I would enjoy this more. The stories are too short to create any sense of atmosphere, and that really hurts it in the end. It's fun, and a lot of the ideas are pretty compelling, but they're not fleshed out enough to reach their full potential.

It was alright, you can continue with chapter 55 of the manga.
Yeah, I know, just wanted to make sure if what was animated would suffice until I'd have to continue with the manga.

Yeah it's great, I'd definitely go with it over the manga for the same material.
The last few arcs get so crazy with so much wordplay, exposition and dialogue that it might be better off as a manga, actually. Though the arc after the anime ends definitely deserves another season.

Pretty phenomenal chapter for yuurang and his meta cloak of sorts. The leap was the best part especially his reaction. For the team as a whole though, I hope it goes in the direction of keeping the other one on the team and becoming friends with them and not going back to the ones that cast him out. I liked his current path for development.

Good short story, personally enjoyed the nekkid apron moment though so short but would have been amazing if followed through. Otherwise, the happy start was a huge highlight for the writer but then later it almost seemed as if she was toying with our emotions. What a rollercoaster ride it was.

had powers similar to Haruhi's except she knew about them.
I guess it was only a matter of time a "childhood friend" (kinda) would be introduced. rip

In the novels it was pretty clear that neither of them had any romantic interest in each other but of course the Yuki-chan manga is an alternate universe so who knows what could happen.

Though, considering Haruhi herself didn't end up being a romantic rival could mean this kinda childhood friend isn't going to get too much in the way.
I hope she doesn't become a rival. I like the slow romance happening between Kyon and Yuki. I wonder if Sasaki's group of friends will show up at all? I'd be very interested in seeing what they do with one of them in particular.

The Black Cat (Based on Poe's short story)
Pretty good. I just read two of Poe's detective fiction works two weeks ago, so this seemed quite appealing. Pretty creepy. I'd love to read some more of his Gothic short stories, now.
One thing that bothered me was the violence directed at the cat. Why is it that I'm so desensitized to human violence, that it doesn't bother me? But when I see an animal getting hurt, even in a comic, it makes me extremely upset... It's not very logical. I just don't think it's something that I could be desensitized to, either.
