Continuing right after the threesome gymnastics experience of their trip previous chapter, Magi and Takehiko getting extensive coverage here was really amazing, and hilariously and highly exciting. Changing scene for PE was most memorable simply for Takehiko reactions upon seeing Magi as he was raising putting clothes on and then just the confession of feelings later and a really intense rooftop experience leaving one incapable of standing. Probably will be on my favorites list this year.

These two humorous little extras more than made up for the rather abrupt ending, if only for just how absurd the detective one was. It kinda sucks this ended so soon but fortunately this was the first serialization for Mizu Asato, whom would later go on to write Denkigai no Honya-san which I've heard nothing but praise for so I'll definitely get around to that sooner rather than later.

We're starting to get into this giant war between the two factions and yet they still managed to squeeze in some comedy with the most obvious and loudest spy ever.

This is one of my favourite shounens. Some of the stories are quite touching, and Bunchuu is one of the most badass anatagonists in writing.

On other note:

Claymore

Priscilla is one of the most boring and tedious enemies in manga. Such a useless character bloated with cliche. Also, Claire is pretty rubbish that she hasn't even been able to approach her level with all the foreshadowing. At least she seems to have a reason for being strong. Priscilla has none, and is rubbish.

Did Tsuki get a character design upgrade or something, he looks even more stunning than before. Just a bit disappointed or maybe curious as to why we didn't see him go through any evolution moments like most of the team did, even his close friend Yamaguchi. Though Tanaka's sister did at least suggest that there may be something lurking beneath the surface with him? Wish it lasted longer. Good chapter, hyped for two consecutive weeks of colour pages.

Chidori-san Chi ni Kagitte 5 + extra

Everyone one of these manga stories about manga artists all have their key traits that make them stand out. I guess here is the ex yakuza guy as well as his inability to love due to his grandfather being a bit sick but then the lead being stuck to have his confession denied because of that. Sad story in the chapter, but the extra story was amazing. Odd placement though considering the ending events but at least it delivered on making a fantasy real.

The full title seems to be Food Wars!, Vol. 1: Shokugeki no Soma.

So yes, it's even now more rad and hip with that exclamation point.
