Us intellectually unarmed plebs cannot possibly hope to understand the TRUE meaning of a Deus Ex Machine like Kubo can.Hopefully he gets it now that someone actually spelled it out for him.

It's not that Urahara solved the problem. I think everyone expected that. It's that he solved it with some instant solution that leads to no growth for the heroes and with no real struggle. It makes every single thing that happened prior worthless.
And you seem caught up in that definition, not realizing that a character themselves can basically be defined by DEM. And Urahara is a character defined by DEM. His place in Bleach is almost literally to always show up with a way to solve an unsolvable problem.
Ichigo needs to get stronger? Hey Urahara has a secret training place to speed it along. Ichigo needs to get to Soul Society? Well sure Urahara can do that. Aizen seems impossible to stop because of the Hogyoku? Well Urahara planted some gambit technique in him that would only activate if Ichigo did enough damage. Masaki needs some way to survive the hollow in the flashback? Well of course Urahara's there to save the day.
Urahara IS Deus Ex Machina in Bleach. He is the God in the Machine.
On this discussion it's pretty much Beam vs Everyone Else, huh.
It's his fault. Maybe if he was capable of presenting an argument without taking wild potshots at people...Isn't that always though?
Isn't that always though?
Is there a reason why Murara did the chapter where Saitama killed the sea king twice, but with different art or rather panels from different angles?
"I don't contribute anything to the thread and i talk shit about a manga i don't read""It's okay that this third party who tries to distance himself from the main conflict came up with a easy solution to a major crisis for the protagonists, because he does it all the time! What, you think characters should figure out issues of their own creation without outside intervention? That's ridiculous!"
I did offer explicit and concise explanation plenty of times.Okay. I legitimately spit out my own spit reading this post. Did you read your own post and try to actually implement it into the latest Bleach chapter. Cuz that's exactly what it is. If you don't see it then please lay out in and explicit and concise manner as to what detail makes it not a DEM.

Hmm, no shokugeki? Or am I missing something?
That a new volume was released last month.
Nothing unusual about that, usually only the best selling manga manage to stay on the charts for that long, or manga which recently got a boost from an adaptation.I know, but I was wondering if it would appear on the charts or not.
cause goddamn based murata sama sensei
So no real reason, other than he might not have been happy with the previous version.
no beam, they don't think like you do
they might agree with you
but nobody thinks like you
also that OP example is in no way a DEM, not by any definition of the word. Not that OP is free of the trope.
Well if you think about it, Uruhara was only there to save Ichigo's mom because of Aizen. So Uruhara has merely been reacting to the real mover the whole series. He hasn't been in control of any situation until maybe now.Us intellectually unarmed plebs cannot possibly hope to understand the TRUE meaning of a Deus Ex Machine like Kubo can.
I don't think anyone read Bleach for the scenario or something.
Heck I'm starting to struggle in remembering when was the last time Urahara wasn't the guy who solved anyone's problem in a contrivied manner.
Heck I'm not even hating on the FB arc and even thought it wasn't THAT bad but damn Ichigo gets its power back without even earning anything.
It was all fucking pointless the way Kubo wrote it, Ichigo could have stayed home and let the others stab him with that blade and Kubo would have spared us an arc that cause his show to be cancelled.
Similarly the captains could have stalled for time and and waited for the getta guy to do their job for them and we would have been spared some prettyboy panneltime.
And heck this could have been done so much better without even being so shitty.
At this point we read Bleach for the pretty pictures and then there's Beam I guess...
And seriously what's with the One Piece potshot?
Can't you defend Bleach without smearing other mangas or something?
Ichigo did not earn it? He went through isolation hell in that arc, and it developed Ichigo significantly. Ichigo finally realized that if he wanted to protect people he needs his powers back, which makes his life as a normal human an impossibility. So yeah, Ichigo did earn his zampakto back.
Yeah, don´t generalize. There are people on Gaf and outside of Gaf who enjoy Bleach a lot.
Giving an example about Deus Ex Machina does not constitute a potshot. Besides i actually read what i criticize unlike some individual here.
"Coincidences to get characters into trouble are great; coincidences to get them out of it are cheating."

I assume he still gets paid as well?
Hahahaha, the main breh Beam is holding down the BDF. You a one man army out here bruh. Even if Beam misrepresents the BDFs tenants and ideals sometimes, props are given.
Oh, and there is nothing wrong with Urahara being a walking D.E.M, just stop it people. He's a boss first and foremost.
And that's really a way better defense for this chapter
Not that this chapter needed to be defended in the first place.
What did you think about Zangetsu being Ichigo´s quincy powers?
@Mael. How can the Ulquiorra thing be a DEM, when it was foreshadowed in chapter 289, and Ichigo´s hollow mask kept evolving, and Ichigo´s hollow has saved him before?
Not that this chapter needed to be defended in the first place.
It's DEM because earlier in the plot, Ichigo was killed and it needed Orihime to make him come back from that.
It's never even really well explained too.
Then again it's less a DEM than an asspull for that one.
e : And chapter 289? the one with Nel and that other guy? How?
e2 : you're BSing or something 289 is the one we learn who Nel really is and that's it.
There's nothing on Ichigo's mask.
So how don't know what preceeded this achievement, actions showing that it's not random. You're right, I don't read Bleach.
I don't even like Urahara and I can't argue with this logic. Stat, why are you so amazing?Hahahaha, the main breh Beam is holding down the BDF. You a one man army out here bruh. Even if Beam misrepresents the BDFs tenants and ideals sometimes, props are given.
Oh, and there is nothing wrong with Urahara being a walking D.E.M, just stop it people. He's a boss first and foremost.
I thought Wednesday was yesterday
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo*derail*
What's the name of that gag-manga which had someone summon the blue eyes white dragon among other things. Bobobingbong something.
Yeah, I don't read Bleach. But that doesn't mean I've never read it. I know who Urahara is and how Kubo uses him.So how don't know what preceeded this achievement, actions showing that it's not random.

I remember getting home from school eating dinner and watching it in the living room when I was a kid. I loved it.I love Bobobo. Oh, man.
My friends and I used to watch the anime late at night at my uni together. If we watched more than a couple episodes at a time, we felt like we were going insane.
