When it first got announced, he said it would last from spring till summer. So around 3 months/4 volumes?
My guess it's just to capitalise on the Naruto exhibition + fill in the void till the anime returns to the final phase of the series. After that he will probably not be doing much with Naruto himself, even if he starts a new series down the line in a different magazine.
Mario was based on an old one shot he did (I think it was the first one even), so it not being all that great had to do with it being based on something amateurish. And not really suitable for the length of a one shot.
Maybe in terms of art his next work will be something to check out. Though I honestly doubt he can make something better, writing-wise.

Luffy smacking Trebol around and stopping the kick was badass as hell. Law was great too but I guess he's really out now. Things are finally reaching a climax.
I have to wonder what's going to happen next, I'm guessing the arc goes into another arc immediately after for the SHs because they had a relatively easy time this time, with a bunch of help from other people.

Akame Ga Kill 1 - 57
so i wasn't sure if i was going to like this manga but i'm really enjoying it. Almost all of the characters are pretty good imo, my favorites probably being Tatsumi and Wave, and not just because their Teigu are badass. Night Raid and the Revolutionary Army seem to have quite the battle coming to them with the Ministers new Alchemist friend and even though the Jaegars aren't at full strength, Esdese (Esdeath?) isn't pulling her punches with Tatsumi anymore...I'm pretty excited to see what happens next.

lol, ive cut back on doujinshi for now, too busy with real life to the point of lacking sleep some days. I'll try out the first two, not into incest after watching Oriemo, its weird lol. i dont mind the occasional cousin dropping in as a character, its hilarious to see they always get denied at the end.
I have yet to master it. The man who invented it is a genius all of masochists aspire to be.

Finally an update. I liked the first two pairs for this story more, but Kuze and Atsumu are making good progress. I just wish Atsumu was a bit more into things and not so weakish. I mean who would barf because the people that bullied you yesterday are know apologizing and under your power?
Oh well at least his personality makes him really clingy and needy and I kind of liked how he could finally admit his feelings for Kuze pretty fast. Good kisses.

I'm torn. After catching up on Akame Ga Kill I can't decide whether I want to read a finished manga or an ongoing one. GAF talks about a lot of current manga I haven't read yet like Prison School, Soma, Assassination Classroom, Magi, etc...but I'm not sure if I want to wait for even more chapters of things to come out :x
